    It was well over an hour for setup because of the extra chairs. Then you have take down, return to headquarters and clean/sterilize each chair and likely the tent as well. So more like 4 hours plus all the time communicating with the client etc. not to be a stickler but that was at least a 4-5 hour investment. $500+ an hour sounds cooler but since we have to be business minded and not go bankrupt it was closer to 20% at $100/hour. Good for you brother. Keep up the good work.

      If you get technical like that yeah I mean it will add time and that will be with anything you make money with.
      But the core concept of this entire video is that the setup itself took me less than 1 hour. less than one hour of work to collect payment.
      Of course there is work that goes into logistics and all but some people go to work an entire week to get around that same amount. That’s all I was trying to get across. Motivate others so they know there are other options to make money.
      I appreciate you stopping by brother 🙏🏽

      Still, what jobs pay a hundred bucks an hour, straight time? There are some, but not many.

    Concrete information and in simple language with no sugar coating. So many video explain how to do money online without moving from your computer and most of the time it is complicated. I like the mentality of putting a bit of logistic and sweat. Seems that labor jobs work great as no one like to do it. Nice information and keep it up.

      I appreciate the feedback. I am a visual learner myself. So I figured people want to see what it all looks like instead of me just rambling on about it. There is definitely a demand for labor side hustles and it’s because of what you noted. No one wants to work now a days. 🙏🏽

    Very cool of you to share, thanks! Are most of your customers from word of mouth? How strong was your prospective customer list before you dived in to get your own equipment?

    • @Itsmoridiaz
      @Itsmoridiaz  Місяць тому +1

      Glad to share the experience with you guys. As far as customers go I got very familiar with Google ads and over time we have scored returning customers, including some commercial accounts that usually have big corporate events. I initially started buying tents, chairs and tables before I had customers.
      You can definitely plan it out smartly by booking out a few events and using the deposits to buy the equipment you’ll need to service those events.
      Hope this helps.

    Curious Mori... are you renting the equipment and then just re-renting it to customers, or do you own all the tables/chairs/etc?

    • @Itsmoridiaz
      @Itsmoridiaz  Місяць тому

      Great question. Unless I have a very large order I don’t sub any equipment. I own it myself. You can sub and build in a small profit but if you want to maximize your return it’s always better to try and own the equipment. If at first you want to grow your own inventory that is a way to do it.

    Do you own the stuff you rent out or do you rent it yourself

    I thought about event rentals as a side hustle recently but did not know, where do I start and do I need a LLC ?

    • @Itsmoridiaz
      @Itsmoridiaz  Місяць тому

      Hey welcome. It all depends on you. Always good business practice to cover yourself and your assets with an LLC it’s only $100 bucks depending on your state etc.
      Besides that try and get a few items and rent them out and start generating some money that you can reinvest into more equipment. It’s definitely a rewarding business.

    Does WAVE offer contracts and interact with clients (via email), and does it collect email and phone numbers?

    • @Itsmoridiaz
      @Itsmoridiaz  Місяць тому

      Thank you for watching! And photo booths have a huge market demand. As far as Wave goes you won’t be able to create a contract I use Docusign for that. It’s quick and easy but won’t be free unfortunately. There may be an option on the paid version of wave but I would have to check on that.
      As far as interactions it’s very intuitive. You can create the estimate and convert it into an invoice once the client decides to move forward so that you can keep the books clean. They can also pay directly through email and decide an exact amount in case you take deposits.
      You can also customize your estimates and invoices with your company logos etc.
      Every customer you enter will save in a database. You will be able to keep cards on file as well in case you want to pull the remaining balance etc. You will also be able to download the entire data sheet in an excel sheet so you can use in other ways etc.
      Been using it since 2019 love it so far.

      Hey how’s it going. So this event I did on my own. But there are some events where I have two guys I 10-99 at the end of the year. These are mostly when it’s 3 or more tents etc.
      One of them is more of a helper I pay 15 an hour
      The one that’s been with us since the beginning gets 20 an hour and that’s because he uses his truck as well and knows how to set everything up without me being there.
      But if you watch this Timelapse you see how I set up the tent on my own. Just takes practice.
      Thanks for watching. If you have any other questions please let me know.
