April in Venice, great time to be there, not too hot and not quite as busy. I was there for all of April 2022. I was so glad my first purchase was a month long vaporetto pass. Getting around was easy once you get a hang of the vap schedules. With the pass you just swipe and hop on. Like getting lost in the narrow allies, getting on the vaporetto and just go where it takes you, Murano, Burano, Lido(where the beaches are), the length of the Grand Canal and so mush more. There a lot of less expensive alternatives like the bell tower at San Giorgio Maggiore instead of the bell tower in San Marco. Coffee shops are everywhere, try walking along the lagoon to less touristy places like Castelo and stop at a cafe along Via Giuseppe Garibaldi, live like a local. So much to see and do a month was not enough.
Thank you so much for your wonderful insight!! April is definitely a great time to be around this beautiful country. It’s blessed with things to do and explore the country and can’t ever get enough of it!! Using Vaporetto is a great way to have the local experience and is much cheaper to get around places as compared to other modes of transportation!!🙏
@@maureenkam9212 There is a boat like a vaporetto, but called Alilaguna - it leaves from the airport and costs about 15 euros. It is very convenient if you know which vaporetto stop you need to get off at, and you are staying close to the stop. It will be crowded but everyone has luggage. Narrow alleys are everywhere! Enjoy!
@Hiris-hu5pc I understand that we have to collect the key at Hotel Ala located at San Marco 2494. We will be arriving at around two in the afternoon. Is it crowded at that time on a Monday?
I have a question. I’m planning to go to Italy this summer, but we are most likely to have a hotel in Verona, so is it worth visiting Venice for just one day?
This seems to be a very interesting place, I hope I can visit sometime in the future. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much! And please keep up the great job! Subscribed!!
I was there December 2005 during Christmas and it was wonderful. Hotel prices were better and crowds much smaller. We didn't get rain, but it was cold, as expected.
When did you both take this video? I’m interested in the time of the year due to weather concerns. Looks like some people wore a jacket some didn’t. Thanks. I enjoyed this video.
4:28 I think someone should have done some research on the city of Venice or paid more attention at school in literature class. The opening lines of _Romeo and Juliet_ state quite clearly: _"Two households, both alike in dignity, In fair Verona, where we lay our scene..."_ Verona is nearly seventy miles from Venice and the only reference outside Verona is Romeo's banishment to Mantua. Of course, _Othello_ is set in Venice as is _The Merchant of Venice,_ (funny enough) but neither of these plays really puts romantic love in a positive light.
I'm out there tomorrow and didn't have time to reasearch on what to see/do. This is the first vid that came up - thanks for the tips! Although pretty sure Verona is the setting of Romeo and Juliet (was there last year there :)
Hello i am there next month , 1) i have heard canals water has dry down and many places boat trips not possible 2) if I stay at Milan and wants to do a trip from morning and return after dinner in train , is it good for a one day trip
@@robira1313 Great place. Only expsenive in one of two famous cafes over looking the sqaure (paying for the view). Away from the Square and tourist areas, normal prices. 👍
Treviso is a great spot near Venice with airport as well. You can find a great apartment like "palazzina trevigiana" or "chiarano home" near the train station and then go by to Venice easily because are only 25 minute of train. Treviso is a super cool city as well, so I think is the best way to visit 2 great city in one trip 🎉
the vaporetto doesn't go around the "smaller canals" of Venice. It goes around the perimeter to the outlying islands (Murano, Burano, Lido, etc) and up and down the Grand Canal and Giudecca....and the restaurants on the Grand Canal are tourist traps with frozen low-quality Sysco-esque food. If the menus are propped up on a board in front of the place, and in multiple languages or just pictures, and/or there's someone outside trying to pull you in the door....steer clear. Stick to the smaller mom and pop spots where the locals eat.
Some of these items are not, and should not, be classed as 'Top 10 things' to do. They are merely lazy recommendations to tourists and do not give the viewer a true sense of Venice or what it represents.
Extremely overpriced hub of tourist traps. Locals are rude and many people working especially gondolas are scammers €100 ride is supposed to last 35 mins and they finish in 15 mins. Overall disappointing experience. Waste of hard-earned money...

Quick question if I arrive in Venice at 10 pm is it safe to to get to the hotel that late at night ?
@@srami8419I have never felt unsafe in Venice, even in the darkest narrowest alley ways or at any time of the day or night.
Where is the narrow alley specifically? Is it convenient to get to the city from the airport on a vaporetto with the luggage?

A very well made video thank you so much for all the information. This would be my first time. This video really helped. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful! Thank you for watching!!
Beautiful places in Venezia ❤❤❤❤
It really is!!!❤️❤️
Beautiful😘…..thanks for sharing👏🏽
Thank you!!
Glad you liked it!!❤️
What is the restaurant name?
May I have the name of the restaurant pls❤
I have a question. I’m planning to go to Italy this summer, but we are most likely to have a hotel in Verona, so is it worth visiting Venice for just one day?
It's difficult Venice in 1 day from Verona. It's better to pass a night in Mestre, just outside Venice
this is a very good video, thank you!
Glad you liked it!!
Venice- City of the Merchant of Venice- / Verona - City of Romeo and Juliet - both start with V - so, it's easy to get confused. Cool video tho!
Are you living there?
Bel video, mi hai fatto morire quando hai detto del date in barca 🤟
Beautiful Vanice Italy 🙏🙏
Isn’t it! 🇮🇹🇮🇹
Loved this video! Visiting Venice soon, it looks lovely. So excited and have great ideas now. Thank you!

Is that good idea if i visit venice on December?
Better in summer until October
It will be much colder, but the crowds will be smaller so the experience may be very charming!!😊😊
Tomorrow is the last day of 2023.
I was there December 2005 during Christmas and it was wonderful. Hotel prices were better and crowds much smaller. We didn't get rain, but it was cold, as expected.
You are unfortunately mistaken by suggesting the Waterbus or vaporetto.

April. Glad you enjoyed it!!❤️❤️
Went last week of Sept, it rained and was cold the entire time. Fall is apparently rainy over there

Almost died when you pronounced gondola
Like, it’s not hard to look up word pronunciations. 🙄
Hi useful information..is Venice possible as day trip from Milan by train and come back after dinner
Hello yes - I think you can definitely do Venice as a day trip
What month did you visit?
I noticed you folks are wearing coats and we’d like to visit comfortable during that weather.
I was there in April!!😊
For me the gondola boats are hot expensive and yea it’s cool for a bit but after 10 minutes it gets old fast. And it lasts for around 30 to 50 minutes
Good
Thank you so much for watching my friend!
I just see ezio running around
this is one of my dreams i hope i can fulfill 🇮🇹
Good guide but the pronunciation really got me. 😂
best to book all your stay, tours, museum or basilica visits before you visit otherwise you wont be able to get it done the days you want.
First 🙏🙏
WOO 🙏🙏
Most hotels are expensive. The few cheap ones are awful especially in Mestre.
Wish i can go to Venice someday
Hope you get there soon!

I fear it is overrated and a marvel of marketing.
Nothing special about this video
Dude fix the volume on this video and stop talking about the price. You’re in Venice Italy enjoy it.
Just came back from Venice and I found a lot of the local people rude and nasty.
Its not in Romeo and Juliet😂😂😂
