So excited to share this week's video, all about things to do in one of my favourite cities... with several sights most guides don't cover. You can find a full list here with more ideas and details: happytowander.com/things-to-do-in-venice-italy/ Let me know in the comments if you have any more suggestions to add!
Thanks for another wonderful video Christina. Lots of pertinent and important points here. My one added tip where gondolas are concerned.........if you can get a group of travellers to share the cost of a gondola ride, it will work out to be very affordable, because you'll be splitting the €90.00 cost amongst you all. I've done it before and it works out great.
I have a tip that if you want to have some kind of "budget boat tour Around Venice", I suggest buy yourself a Vaporetto Ticket, and take the 4.1 from Riva De Biasio Stop (this is their first stop, less crowd and can choose your preferred seat), then you can enjoy a "boat cruise" outside of Venice Island until F.Te Nove Stops to take a rest have a coffee or lunch 😁 then take 5.1 Vaporetto from that stop to take you back to Riva de Biasio. I just came back from Venice a week ago, and I must say it is a VERY BEAUTIFUL city even though it crowded with tourist.
Grazie mille. Lovely video. I am going to be in Venice the first week of October, traveling with my bff from high school, celebrating 60 years of friendship. This will be my 4th trip to Italy but her first. Venice is so enchanting, wandering and getting lost is the best way to explore this amazing place. I do highly recommend traveling there in the shoulder seasons, March and April or late September into November, to avoid the heat and the crowds. 🥰
We used T Mobile without any issues in Italy, France and England.... but double check your plan to make sure that your plan includes EU coverage. We also run a VPN at all times so we had US location so we had our normal access. I'd recommend an quite dinner overlooking the lagoon from Maurano... there's a little bar next to the Hyatt... truffle cheeseburgers and local wine while watching the moon rise.... a highlight a 21 day tour of Italy
Thank you! One of the best travel videos I have seen. Having been to Venice before, I agree with most of your suggestions. Your voice, annunciation, clarity and interest are very clear and keep one’s attention. I watched because I am hoping to visit Venice again. I will now look for your other videos.

Great tip!! So happy you had a good time in spite of the crowds. Sounds like you did Venice properly!
One of the best informative videos on Venice. A great help to me while planning my trip.

Happy to Wander, Youre gonna be famous!
Haha I hope not! Fame doesn’t look fun!
How is it in the winter, late fall, early spring? Less hot??
Another great video! Thanks, Christina!
Hello my friend 🙋🤝🙋🇨🇭🇨🇭
A very beautiful and spectacular video👍👍
Lol I would want to sing in the gondola 😂. I learned the second verse of ed sheeran's perfect in Italian (Andrea bocceli's part)
What’s the earliest you can do a gondola ride?
Where did you get your black & white flowy pants from? :)
