Woooow.... your uni is amaaazing Jess! I go to uni here in Spain and the buildings are sadly ugly and industrial + wi-fi is never working and people dont do life over the campus. So sad hahaha!

Yeah, the unis in France are just as awful as they are in Spain. But you have to remind yourself that we're also only paying around €400 to €700 in tuition fees per year, whereas uni in the UK costs around £9,000 a year (around €10,000 / year). So obviously you can't expect the same facilities and resources than you would for an education that expensive!
Oh wow really? One of the most beautiful campuses here in the Philippines which is greatly inspired and left from the Spanish colonialisation and is well-advanced too. Check University of Santo Tomas.

The Girl on the Train was great. I feel it went by pretty quickly but I loved the story and performances by the cast, especially Emily.
I studied in Edinburgh on a semester abroad from NZ, and honestly these vlogs are such a comfort for me! Seeing the meadows and marchmont and all the places I recognise like teviot always makes me feel so nostalgic xxx

Girl on the Train was really similar to the book, but if I didn't read it, I would have thought it was really weird and not all the pieces fit, very orignal story line was what I loved the most. Loving your Vlogtober, feel better sooooon! x
The uni is building an underground area in Bristo sq with conference and meeting rooms. It's meant to eventually connect with the underground stuff by DHT and 50 George sq. I hope you get to graduate in McEwan hall as well, although I was in Usher Hall last year and it was actually lovely, much more space (meaning more tickets available for each family) :)
The battery life is dependent fully on how you charge it! For best battery life, keep the phone charged between 40-80% and don't let it fully drain or fully charge. Shut down and restart it at least once per month. I've done this religiously with my iPhone 5S (got it when it first came out) and it still has 80% of its battery capacity :D
Hey Jess, as an Edinburgh Alumni I can tell you exactly what's going on in Bristo Square/McEwan Hall. They are building a "Pathway To Enlightenment" i.e. a cool glass corridor/entrance for McEwan Hall where the skateboarders used to hang out, and restoring the building itself. As an alumni you're invited to donate £115 so you can help with the project and as a bonus get your name engraved inside on the wall of the new corridor.
I certainly hope you do get the graduate in McEwan Hall, there is nothing quite like it!
P.S. I love your vlogs so much...I miss Edinburgh more than I can say (graduated 3 years ago) and these vlogs always cheer me up! 😊
If you contact Apple with a faulty iPod Classic they can repair them still or send you a replacement (they still have a load of them left at the warehouse). I did it last year, cost around £200 which was the same price you'd pay for a new one anyway :)

I watched The Girl On Train just recently! I read the book last year and although I loved the story, I did not enjoy it that much. I guess that was because everything exciting happened towards the end of the book... Surprisingly, I enjoyed the movie quite a lot. I very rarely prefer the movie over the book and this was one of those rare cases. I loved how the producer visualized the book, Platt did a great job with that. I was very excited throughout the whole movie.

OMG WESTWORLD YES !!!! Finally someone is talking about it :'(
I've started watching Westworld, but I'm not sure how I feel about it. It was enjoyable, but I do get the feeling they are trying to do a replacement GoT with it. I do know it was a movie to begin with, so I don't know how much of it is trying to be GoT-esque, but it did give me that vibe. Also, the plot is very Dollhouse, if you've ever seen that Joss Whedon show (which I really enjoyed).
I think the problem with girl on the train, especially when reading the book, is it's very obvious attempt at trying to mimic the 'shock factor' of gone girl. It just doesn't pull it off as well.

hey jess the same iphone-battery issue happened to my sister. there is an easy fix. go to general - time and settings - turn off the 'set automatically' and then force restart. should fix it

That used to happen with my iPhone 5 towards the end of the two years, mine was a problem with the battery where it was temperature sensitive so if i was outside and it was cold it would die if it was below 60% and then turn back on again and all the battery would be drained:/

I bought my friend's iPod Classic since he doesn't use it anymore. I have 100GB+ of music and my iPhone can't even fit 1/4 of it... refurbished Classics are like $300AUD on eBay 😭
