Skall tends to be relatively level-headed, and quite often displays a lack of preconceptions and will often change his mind if he learns something new. And the ability to appreciate something for what it is, not what he wants it to be.
I actually used to watch this guy. This one store sold him their entire catalogue, most of which were just reskins of the same items. Also, he has used almost all of these in videos, mostly on water bottles, cans, fruit, or milk jugs.
The weird bleach katana is actually supposed to bend at a 90° angle twice and is sharp on the inside. The character that it belongs to actually puts an enemies head in the square and pulls the sword up to behead him.
wich is still a dumb idea, since you put an extreme limit to your cutting ability that way(force wise, a swing is much more powerfull than just pulling the blade upwards). And i say that as someone who watched all episodes 3 times(skipped the fucking bount arc on the second and third time)
@@jerak02 most of the weapons in bleach are dumb ideas that are in no way practical, that's part of the appeal of the show seeing them handling these stupid ass blades, it's all form over function.

to answer your queston "why would you own the same thing in multiple colors" - so part of the appeal of collecting for certain people (I imagine for ADHD's World as well) is appreciating what the collection looks like. Obviously these knives were made, and probably purchased ,with their striking visual appearance in mind, and therefore owning more colors adds more visual appeal to their collection.
"This is the greatest pocketknife you've ever seen" made me think of the Crocodile Dundee bit. "Call that a knife (stiletto)? This is a knife." *pulls out a huge knife*
Lmao! When he said, “This is biggest pocket knife I’ve ever seen!” I was thinking, “Yeah, try the Espada XL.” Then you pulled something out bigger than even that, rofl!
And his every day carry is a knife that is meant for sharks and hogs. You’d be fucked if you used a Wasp as a self defense knife. Dear lord, this is the dumbest video ever. xD
I collect watches and firearms. When I was younger I definitely bought quantity over quality and lost a lot of money. Now I only buy quality pieces and limit my self to what can fit in my watch case or gun safe. I wouldn't say my collections are investments, but they do hold their value much better this way.
The thing with him is that he doesnt claim to be an expert. He never did and also sayied a lot of times he dont really know what he is doing, but he do it anyway, so he is honest. And you can see that he did got better with time.
So i have watched both of you for forever, and yeah, he mostly keeps only the pretty ones or the home made stuff, with a few good ones that survive tests mixed in, he has actually spent WAY MORE on weapons over the years, but most of them are destroyed by him doing stress tests on wall hanger type weapons that even quality weapons die to. You would probably actually get some pretty cathartic joy out of seeing him absolutely destroy hundreds of mall ninja type gear.
I love how open and giving you are to a guy that clearly shares a similar love for edged weapons but simply expresses it in a very different manner. I came here expecting a slightly mean giggle and instead got a thoughtful yet even and understanding video that remained entertaining.
I love your face at the start of his video. We all know that feeling of right when a video starts you get slapped...then back handed by a tsunami of too much energy.
That Bleach one is called Wabisuke, it's basically like a reverse guillotine where it's supernatural power of doubling the effect of gravity on what it hits with each hit (the effect compounds) leads to the final blow of decapitating the enemy by their newly multiplied weight pulling their neck down upon the edge.
Seeing the two of you side-by-side like this makes me appreciate you not having taken up a "UA-cam personality", as you put it. Thanks. Your straightforward and sincere approach to videos (Apparently, anyway! I don't know you IRL...) is part of what makes your content great. Nothing against this fellow or any other content creators who choose to affect a certain personality in order to succeed on UA-cam. It's a job, and I think most any job apart from CEO requires a certain degree of theatricality from employees if they want to succeed.
I really appreciate Skall for being low key and direct as well. It's refreshing in comparison to the "Standard UA-camr" types. They aren't bad, but it does get annoying when it's clear that most of those people got the same "This is how to be a UA-camr" lesson from google.
We share pet peeves with the whole calling a pocket knife a weapon thing. It's like calling a fish a weapon because you can knock someone out with one.
12:50 Ah yes, Wabisuke. The only weapon in Bleach to be called out by an opponent as being useless looking for combat and the user to *agree with them.* Fun fact: In the series, it's a weapon in the same way that an Executioner's Sword is a weapon: Not really. It's just made for executing people, that's it.
The whole reason the blade shape is shitty is because of its special ability of doubling the weight of what ever it hits. If it was shaped like an actual sword it would be too op since getting hit by it would be lethal and force the opponent to parry it.
The arm blades with the "night stick" style side grips... I think someone watched Blood Rayne a few too many times! Hahaha ;D I agree that if made from proper materials it is an interesting and potentially advantageous concept... just not my thing.
It's entertaining to watch you entertain yourself watching a dude that entertains himself by showing off a collection of entertaining "weapons" for the sake of your entertainment to entertain us...
I’d love to see more of these types of videos and streams where you take a look at these mall ninja type weapons. Your commentary as a weapons expert is always very funny, and manages to never come off as mean spirited or snobbish.
Skal, this is probably the funniest video I have seen in a week and the number of memes one could pull out of it is huge. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, thank you!

As I have posted, I have spent years studying Iaido, and should I ever have to draw my shinken to fight another swordsman, I would hope that my opponent would have picked something (anything) from ADHD's collection. My victory would be assured.
I shit you not Skall, there was this kid at work that I still only call "The New Kid" who was supposed to be helping me open and move the contents of boxes at a local food bank, and I asked him if he had a pocket knife I could borrow because I had left mine in the crew van, and he just said "I don't carry weapons when I'm working" I then informed him that for work purposes (at least) a pocket knife isn't considered a weapon (sort of throwing him a bone) and that generally a pocket knife is just a tool and his response was "it is when I have it." ...suffice to say there's a reason I never looked at this kid as an adult. He was 18 and had that arrogant "I can buy cigarettes now and that means I'm a grown man" aura about him. A few weeks later, I saw him walking around downtown Tacoma with a wall hanger katana slung at his back and...yeah. He was just a typical one of THOSE and unfortunately they seem to perpetuate a misinterpretation that anything sharp is a weapon: even here in the USA where you can buy guns without a background check in the south.
Ah yes, I adore watching both you and Adhd's world, and while he has some cheap stuff, he has some genuinely really high quality blades, also his collection has changed a bit, as this video is quite old

that'd actually be hilarious. imagine skall send his kriegsmesser or some other super high quality sword and adhd sent some super wall ninja sword. ADHD would be in love and buy more high quality shit, and skall would have a fun video probably destroying something with safety goggles on.
Hey Skall, just wanted to mention, that bleach sword at 12:51 isn’t meant to be that small. It’s also supposed to bend at two right angles to form a rectangular shape and is used in a rather peculiar way. Firstly, It’s meant for executions. Though even then it’s not the most useful in that regard. Secondly, the character who wields it has the power to increase the weight of anything he strikes. So once your too heavy to move he places your neck in the gap of the blade and lifts it upwards to decapitate the victim. The swords they use in Bleach, known as Zanpakto, are representations of the wielders spirit. So that particular sword being shaped that way is meant to show how the character doesn’t want to resort to violence and would rather subdue his opponents unless there are no other options, but is still willing to kill if and when necessary. Signed- a bored Bleach fan
Thanks for mentioning this, it’s definitely one of the more well thought out unusually shaped blades in anime because within context it makes sense but only in context
To address this guy having the same knife but in a bunch of different colors, he has a very good UA-cam reason for that. He's done episodes where he shows how to apply those custom camo designs. He literally bought the knives in bulk for demonstration purposes. That and a few of those repeats are from fan mail unboxings where the fans sent them in.
I would be interested in more like this, especially if they were ones that you actually appreciated. Even ones that are crazy would be good. You can tell that guy at least partially had the collection for video making, since he constantly said "you guys loved this, remember?!" Which is fine if he isnt hurting anyone, and they enjoy it then have at it. Great video.
As pure mall ninja as that collection is, this turned out very wholesome in the end and I like the end message; do what makes you happy. I see so many youtubers, redditors, etc. shit on mall ninja collections, but what they don't consider is that these people don't actually intend to use this stuff. We call most of that wall hangers, and...if that's actually what they are being used for, outside the odd water bottle cutting/testing just to see what it can (or can't do)...then is it really mall ninja? To ME, mall ninja is the guy who actually thinks his 150 dollar switch/sword/axe/gunblade combo will actually be effective--not the person collecting and even laughing at some of the ridiculousness of some of it. I'd actually be interested to see a collection of actual gimick HISTORICAL stuff--like the lantern shield, for example. I think it would be fun as hell to see, in one collection, all of the crazy weapon hybrids that we've seen historically--from medieval times forward. Or even pre-medieval times if there was gimicky, showy stuff then too. Great video Skal--looking forward to the next one :)
Love all the videos especially recently, I’ve started building a fantasy world with a combination of various cultures and I’m using your videos as one of the references for the weapons in the setting
That is a very interesting collection he's got there! He even has bayonets to match with rainbow-collored rocket launchers. NGL I was fully expecting to see a bayonet with a bipod. His collection won't be complete without one!
Throughout the late 00's Google held a ton of UA-cam workshops to teach people how to succeed on UA-cam. That's one of the things they taught, I think.
On your "pocket knife" cargo pants do not count. Mine a bloody endless, I on one carried a small first aid box, gloves, phone, wallet, keys, lockpicks, little box of drill bits. And had room for more!
Apparently Cold Steel’s Hand-and-a-Half sword is making waves in the professional cutting community as a budget slasher. Apparently the company has been working on the blade design over time and shipping out a better product with each iteration.
Their Italian longsword is similarly good for competition cutting at the price. Neither if them are as good as the principe or an ATrim, but are also way way cheaper.
A couple things have to be said about cold steel. Cold Steel doesn't actually "make" anything, they contract out different companies around the world, from China, India, Taiwan, South Africa etc. So they have everything from great quality swords / knives, to cheap crap. Also the products they do sell seem to be improving dramatically, it's clear they have followed the rise of sword collectors and UA-camrs like Skal, and Matt Easton, temper, distal taper etc are much better than they used to be. Sometimes this is true of existing current models, so outdated reviews from 10 years ago, aren't really valid today. Cold Steel swords like the Polish Saber are actually excellent, mine has a 7.5mm to 1.7 mm distal taper, is a bit heavy, but excellently balanced and usable, for the price it is FAR superior to anything I have seen in a similar price range. I think Cold Steel in general has a poor reputation among serious sword collectors today, simply because of their kind of cringe marketing. Allot of serious collectors are into history and the serious academic side of swords, so the fat man smashing stuff to rock music ads they used to play came off as very cringe to many, and people didn't want to associate with cold steel, but honestly give some of their products a chance. Also it's ironic when people will like Windlass, they may have many cheaper swords, but windlass is taken seriously, they are consistent in quality and even have made real military issue weapons going back to Colonial India, why is this ironic that people will like Windlass and hate Cold Steel, because some Cold Steel swords ARE windlass swords bought under contract by Cold Steel.
@@Stribog1337 Suprisingly enough it's actually quite good, when they try to grab the bat they grab the sock and it slides off leaving them holding a sock in their hand and you with a bat flying towards their face.
The bleach sword at 12:56 is used by a character named Izuru Kira, his sword is used to cut heads that's why it has that shape. Although this replica is inaccurate because in the original series the folds are 90°
It's not like I'm terribly fond of reaction videos (or simply youtubers gathering content of other people's videos) and they usually are being called trash because of their simplicity to make, but I actually enjoyed this one and I lowkey have craving for more. Very entertaining :-)
I get owning multiple of certain knives, for me they are usually identical. For instance I have found some Kukri, traditionally made in Nepal that I absolutely love, in-fact I liked it so much I didn't want to ever use it, so I bought another identical one to beat up and take camping, and the other stays pristine displayed on a wall.
Your completely different from this guy what you do makes a lot of sense to someone like me who collects and uses knives and swords, keeping one for your collection and one to use is something I do myself
Wabisuke (the name of the Bleach sword) is supposed to be more square shaped than that, and the edge is on the inside because the blade is meant to decapitate people by pulling up like a reverse guillotine.
I have ADHD and own a $40k or so gun collection. Most gun collections don't impress me. I have Zero Hi-points, Canik/Turkish garbage, no S&W "M&P" (unless you mean my pre-model 10 revolver), no pistols with a "magnifying glass" attached to the slide, and just one Glock 17. You will find classics: S&W 27-2, Colt 1903, Walther PP, Makarov PM, Beretta 1934, Tokarev TT-33, CZ-75 among many other fine, classic handguns and rifles. I don't buy junk. I collect icons- art with form, function and most importantly, Value. To each his own, I guess. I didn't choose to have lifelong ADHD. I function 100% well with it. No need to mock people with the disability. Trust me, some of them might just be smarter than you are.

As an answer to "why would you own the same thing in multiple colours": just thing about legostones for a second... I feel like I own millions of the same shape in different colours
ADHD is a chaotic neutral of both quality and meme tier weaponry. he does strange tests and has an unnatural ability to throw almost any weapon with relative ease and stupid accuracy. as long as you can fast forward like skip 5 seconds every now and then through the energetic stuff and get to the real meat and potatoes, (especially on bat-tle) it's really interesting to see just what the things he comes across can do and how long they can last.
I’ll be honest that I do agree with you in this point owning a bunch of stuff just in different colors does annoy me I typically like all of my stuff to be different looking I despise everything being the same unless if it’s an army then it makes sense
If you can hurt or kill someone with it - it is a weapon. Many wall-hangers qualify in this regard, especially given the danger they pose to the people who try to use them.
@@albinopolarbear8229 So if I build a rifle that's solely intended for target practice, it's not a weapon and consequently shouldn't fall under any weapon laws?
God that knife collection...for the price of all of those knives together he could probably get like 2 really well made ones that actually hold an edge and withstand use. I bet even those "Fixed blades" of his are just wiretang pos that would break upon the slightest of use
In Germany most pocket knives count as weapons, simply when you can open it with one hand AND the blade locks in place when you open it 😂Or at least they fall under the weapon law. The knife-section has a detail that says 'weapon character' though, usually for fixed blades (which you can actually carry legally up to 12 centimeters lol, but no 6 cm folder that locks and is a one-hand-opener). 😅 Stupid german knife laws 🥲
I would say most countries (undeservedly so) give pocket knives the side eye. Even here in the US, there are knife laws that vary state to state and is a hot confusing mess, to the point I'm afraid to carry anything larger than an inch or so--for fear of being accused of carrying a "Deadly weapon." It's like come on lawmakers, just because something has a 3 inch blade, it doesn't make it a damned weapon, look at a machete.
@@bodyno3158 Well, I think the idea behind that is, that you can have your hand unseemingly in your pocket and then WHAM you yank your hand out of your pocket but instead of a fist a locked blade of a folding knife that has already been opened comes flying. A fixed blade you usually have to reach for, meaning it wouldn't be ready as fast as a one-hand opening folder and you could see that someone was reaching for something in the first place. You can carry a folder that is either a one-hand opener OR a two-handed opener that can lock the blade though, but not both at the same time, no matter the blade length. I don't think they accounted for neck knives which you can also carry by fixing the sheeth of the knife with a short lanyard onto your belt and carry in your pocket as well (instead of the intended way on a longer lanyard (or ball chain) around your neck, which you also would have to reach for first). The sheeth then automatically gets pulled of your fixed blade and it's ready to go in the same fashion. Knife laws are weird, the made Balisongs completely illegal, I guess because they look dangeorus or something; (and ninja stars, and OTF switchblades, you can have a switch blade at home that opens sideways and is 7,5 cm in blade length at max though). 🤷 These weird laws basically made me switch from carrying a normal folding knive to carrying a fixed blade as my go-to-edc. Because I want to be able to have it not being able to close on my fingers and I also want to get the blade out with one hand. Quite unreasonable knife laws in my eyes.🤷
@@shawnwolf5961 Hehe true, in Germany the weapon law is nation-wide though, so at least I don't have to worry about how the other Bundesländer might handle it differently. Austria for example doesn't have as absurd knife laws as we do. They can carry pretty much any normal pocket knife they want. Well, they are sort of a different German (speaking) state though, but it's weird. 😅
Jörg Sprave even created a huge folder, that of course locks into place, but it opens with both hands; so that's technically legal to carry, but the blade is the size of a machete lmfao. Since the restricted blade length only applies to folders 😂
Adhd whole channel is about buying these "weapons" and basically reviewing them. So his whole collection is the items that he has gotten over the years.
Anything that can be used as a weapon in the moment is indeed a weapon. All sharp metal things are weapons. If you took a gutting knife to attack someone, the knife isn't going to stop you and say "Hey buddy, hate to remind you, but I'm not a weapon. Can't use me to harm a human.", and some magical force stops you from doing it.
I mean, while I agree with Skal that the knives aren't weapons, I've seen other comments saying this guy lives in California, which if you aren't in the US, it is a very...strict state when it comes to "weapon" laws. Most of those knives may well be considered weapons according to law where he is, whether or not they are meant to be pocket or survival knives.
As someone who collected plastic gems and Green Lantern rings at one point, for some objects the idea of having them in different colors is to represent different meanings or moods based on what you choose to carry that day. It helps that the layman will find a colorful knife to be very appealing to the eye.
Yo that guy is great!! I watch him occasionally. He buys like the cheapest and most expensive weapons on sites like Wish and tests them in the backyard. The gag is basically blind buying what are probably CRAP weapons and finding out how bad they really are. Some surprisingly are decent every once in a while. Decent, not good. Honestly surprised that much of the stuff has survived "testing" to be a collection. 😂
The double katana is not only 2x as heavy, but 1/2 as "sharp" because when it hits there is 2x as much surface area of blade, meaning each sword gets half as much force as a single blade would.
Imagine someone breaking into his house, and he grabs some of these weapons to defend... Well, I hope that will never happen, because if most of these things came from wish and ebay... Damn...
Hey nothing wrong with Ebay, lots of legitimate antiques and anything from cheap crap to second hand albions. Just know what you are doing and you will be fine.
Well, if his stuff is pointy enough, you can still stab someone with it... then the blade broke so it get stuck into the opponents, so you grab a second weapon on your wall and continue ^^ they are consumable weapons 😋
You should definitely react to more of his videos when he just test random weapons and what not. I think it be really funny for you to critique his form
I think the distinction here is made at the design. If something is designed to ve used as a weapon, then it's a weapon. Because if you look at usecase, almost everything is a weapon, and therefore the distinction becomes useless.
As for the giant sets a lot of these weapons he gets in bulk as a gift, gets sponsored by a company to show off a ton of colors, or gets a giant group in order to test a Lot of blade breaking points or to use as materials for other projects.

I think what most people classify as a “weapon” is really any object you can use to harm another, a great test is that if you pull it out in front of a cop, will they consider it a weapon or not (I do not recommend this method of testing)

Watching him is a guilty pleasure of mine it is entertaining sometimes and seeing wall hangers get broken and the odd one working is pleasant
The thing with him is that he doesnt claim to be an expert. He never did and also sayied a lot of times he dont really know what he is doing, but he do it anyway, so he is honest.
And you can see that he did got better with time.
The cool thing about him it’s that he’s aware that his weapons are completely ridiculous and doesn’t take himself seriously.

This guy likes the Counterstrike Knives, seemingly

Ah yes, Wabisuke. The only weapon in Bleach to be called out by an opponent as being useless looking for combat and the user to *agree with them.*
Fun fact: In the series, it's a weapon in the same way that an Executioner's Sword is a weapon: Not really. It's just made for executing people, that's it.
thing is, the version he has would not even work as that. You have to fit a head through it. and that maybe allows an arm.
Which is a shame.
Why get a replica if it doesn't, ya know, replicate the thing?
The whole reason the blade shape is shitty is because of its special ability of doubling the weight of what ever it hits. If it was shaped like an actual sword it would be too op since getting hit by it would be lethal and force the opponent to parry it.
Yep, this is one of the few cases of an a crazy anime design actually having justification.
Don't get me wrong, I like Wabisuke, it looks very cool... but it's as dumb looking as it is cool looking xD

I shit you not Skall, there was this kid at work that I still only call "The New Kid" who was supposed to be helping me open and move the contents of boxes at a local food bank, and I asked him if he had a pocket knife I could borrow because I had left mine in the crew van, and he just said
"I don't carry weapons when I'm working"
I then informed him that for work purposes (at least) a pocket knife isn't considered a weapon (sort of throwing him a bone) and that generally a pocket knife is just a tool and his response was
"it is when I have it."
...suffice to say there's a reason I never looked at this kid as an adult.
He was 18 and had that arrogant "I can buy cigarettes now and that means I'm a grown man" aura about him.

"See? Mine's a lot bigger." - Skallagrim comparing lenght of his " pocket knife"

You say the collection brings him joy, and I'm sure it does. It also brings him 1.8 million views.

Stupid german knife laws 🥲
A fixed blade knife with a 12cm blade is a legit weapon, way more dangerous than a 6cm folder...
These weird laws basically made me switch from carrying a normal folding knive to carrying a fixed blade as my go-to-edc.
Finally one of you guys found him. i have been waiting for this.
Adhd whole channel is about buying these "weapons" and basically reviewing them. So his whole collection is the items that he has gotten over the years.
Every once in a while you get a reminder like this of just how annoying mainstream UA-cam "personalities" are
That guy copied my series ,,Will it Stick,, horrible/Cringe channel.... His collection is such a garbage...
It seems like he considers everything that is in some way lethal to be a weapon....
Because they are weapons if used as so.
I would love to see a collaboration between yall, two masters of using weapons in ridiculous and silly ways
I remember this guy never thought I'd see em in the same video
Yo that guy is great!! I watch him occasionally. He buys like the cheapest and most expensive weapons on sites like Wish and tests them in the backyard. The gag is basically blind buying what are probably CRAP weapons and finding out how bad they really are. Some surprisingly are decent every once in a while. Decent, not good.
Honestly surprised that much of the stuff has survived "testing" to be a collection. 😂
Also, he lives in California where a mean look is considered a weapon. 😆
Thanks! Your well honed snark always provides much needed respite from the sea of troubles that is the world. Much appreciated, feeling recharged!
those "fancy" paintjobs makes even the coolest weapon look like a toy, i dont like that.
Most people use it on knives, which are usually parts of cool looking collections.
So I like it.
You should definitely react to more of his videos when he just test random weapons and what not. I think it be really funny for you to critique his form
Everything can be a weapon. It's just a matter of how it's used. If it can be used to intimidate or injure it's a weapon.
I think the distinction here is made at the design. If something is designed to ve used as a weapon, then it's a weapon.
Because if you look at usecase, almost everything is a weapon, and therefore the distinction becomes useless.
@@Valdyr_Hrafn I think what defines a weapon is how it's used not the creator's/designer's purpose for the tool.
True
If i see someone pulling on me a "zombie killer" mini double headed axe i would be laughing, not all weapons intimidate
As for the giant sets a lot of these weapons he gets in bulk as a gift, gets sponsored by a company to show off a ton of colors, or gets a giant group in order to test a Lot of blade breaking points or to use as materials for other projects.
