    It is the price that a society pays for high socio-economic standards.
    Because of high socio-economic standards, the cost of living increases.
    When the cost of living increases, the people don't want to more children.
    When it increases further, people will stop producing children.
    The demographic pyramid is reversed.

    • @seanarmstrong1156
      @seanarmstrong1156 7 років тому +8

      Mister Mood i don't know man...personally I think the best solution is to decrease world population.
      Look at housing price - why is the housing price so expensive nowadays? Because too many people all trying to live in the same piece of land.
      If we have less people on this planet, then this means more resources to go around, and in turn prices for things like housing will be cheaper.

    • @mistermood4164
      @mistermood4164 7 років тому +5

      Sean Armstrong i don't believe in overpopulation, look how humans eat today verses 200 years ago. despite there being more people there are less people as a percentage that are dying of hunger than ever before.

    • @seanarmstrong1156
      @seanarmstrong1156 7 років тому +1

      Mister Mood oh it's not about the food! Of course we have enough food.
      It's about the population density.
      As our cities expand, two things happen:
      1. The cost of living goes up (look up the cost to buy a house 50 years ago versus now in the same location)
      2. The comfort of living (traffic jam, pollution...etc etc)

    This elderly people don’t have physical exercise, they should be standing instead of just sitting down, must have a better way to energize their body to move.

  • @drakes4625
    @drakes4625 3 роки тому +4

    Japan needs to allow people to retire later, indeed. Companies often force old people to retire. This HAS to stop, but it's unlikely to since social norms in Japan seem hard to change...it's a very conservative country.

      Most likely it's because consumerism is taking over people's lives. People back then didn't have things like super advanced video game systems, internet/social media, smartphones, and other kinds of cool technology like we have today. And I believe its the addiction to these things that are pushing people away from wanting to spend time with each other and raising a family.

    The baby boomers who worked hard like mad and paid into the social security system religiously deserves everything! The reason why retirement is such a crises filled system is because the baby boomers were betrayed by the lies of overpopulation and by the lies of scarcity of resources by the lies of pollution, etc when in fact the technologies to solve these problems were already developed in the 1950s and up to the early 1960s but were prevented from being implemented by corporations and consolidated corporations who are dependent on corporate lies of artificial scarcity and artificial shortages and artificial long term pollution in order to have a reason to raise their prices and to create an artificial panic to make the baby boomers to needlessly buy their corporate products to make them safe and secure, etc.

    I been to Japan few times. I saw so many old people, old people everywhere. I saw lot of single young women hanging around. And surprisingly, you don't see many young men. Then I saw the young men, thousands of them and all of them were in the video game arcades. They are addicted to video game. Funny thing is all their video game characters look like high school girls wearing mini skirts. LOL.
