Ordered one of these today. Thanks for sharing!
Awesome! Hopefully you can follow the series to help you with your build!
Now you’re talking my speed Jeff!!! 😂😂 It’s good to see you covering models that I can almost handle!! You look like you’ve done this a time or two!! 😂😂
You can definitely handle any helicopter! They can all be set up to how you like the fly. I’ve made a bill one or two or hundreds of helicopters. Lol
I have three Blade helicopters , a 300 cfx, 360cfx and a 550xv that i built but let someone else set up the radio and flybarless unit. This will be my first ever to build and set up myself. Its intimidating but i have a passion for these machines and not being able to do the setup myself takes away from the experience. Not sure how its going to turn out but well see. Thanks for this build video, it will help alot!!
Hi Jeff, I did all this today and got started with my OMP M4 build! Thanks for all great tips and explanations. So far my first ever build is running smooth. Everything fits great! No problems at all! It seems to be a great kit for a kit build beginner like me!! Thanks for the great work!!
Awesome! Hope you enjoy your build. It’s a pretty smooth helicopter so far I’ve run into a few little issues that I will talk about in the meeting flight video. Biggest issue I ran into was my tail shaft was bent so double check yours. Thank you for watching!
Mine just got shipped. Should receive it by next week. Can’t wait for it
Heck, yeah! You will enjoy it!
Looks like a super beginner friendly build
It’s definitely a beginner, friendly build. The manual do some work to be more beginner, friendly but so far it’s been a pleasure.
I'm quite impressed with the overall quality of the kit. May have to get one myself.
It’s. Very nice kit, the real test will be on how it flys!
looks doable to me with your video help a must Champ, some great tips there as always, your a PRO,Thank You. M4 Also on my wish list along with SAB420 Raw but will be my first kit "yikes".
Thank you! That is my goal with the videos. Something that you can follow step-by-step to eat you in your bill and have a successful flying model when you are done! The RAW 420 builds very fast and a great model to build.
Looking forward to this build series.
I hope you enjoy it!
Another great build from mr west
Thank you sir! I greatly appreciate it!
Very love your work in the RC hobby. 😋
Thank you very much! I’m glad you like the channel and what I do for the hobby!
i love this heli flies amazing
I’m excited to see how it flies.
Cracker vid Cheers
Good lookin heli too 👍🏻
Thank you!
wow that was really simple
Very smooth build
Yes! I've been waiting for this! Can't wait to see it fly
I can’t wait to fly it! Very curious to see how it performs.
It looks like a great kit. Im torn between going direct drive like this. Or the more traditional design like a protos 380. Great videos man. 🚁💨💯
Thank you! Highly recommend going direct drive. The parT simplicity is incredible!
zipties on the esc - wow, good build ^^
That’s how it was designed.
Very nice
Thank you!
Great video! I was following your instructions to build my first heli. I noticed a difference from the manual. The manual suggests using the inner hole for the tail horn, also the push rod is in the back side of the servo horn. Does it actually make any difference ?
Thank you, that’s strange. My manual says outer hole? Hmmm. So personally having the hole at the outer hole for the ball link will be more responsive and less tail gain, inner hole will need more tail gain as the servo has to travel farther. And the push rod goes to the front in my manual. I will look into that.
Exciting! I have my eyes on it as well. Has anyone experimented (or heard of anyone using) the Goosky RS4 flybarless unit on this or any helicopter? I want to give it a shot, especially since it would be $90 instead of $200 lol and the M4 is roughly the same size heli as well. The RS4 flies/hovers like it is on rails, thanks! Keep up the great work, I love the build videos just as much as all the others!
Jonas (the guy that designed it) told me personally that it should actually be a good budget option to use the RS4 FBL. Would probably be a great setup for someone of less experience looking for a cheaper build
Personally, I don’t see why it would not work. The RS4 FBL unit performs in far is great. I wish it had some more advanced tuning options and features but for the money. There’s nothing else on the market like it! The RS4 does fly great! Super solid.
Thanks both of you for the input! Lol I sold about 4 of my old hardly used and or slightly crashed helis last summer.. I am back up to 9 now, including the RS4, S2, 470l and the OMP M1 😂 been trying to save for the 550x or the new TB70, my poor wallet!
If you want something that's cheap but require some work to get it to run perfect, RotorFlight2 is a fantastic option.
@@jiawenbao3698 I've been looking at that fbl a lot here lately. Im currently running a Ikon2 on a 230S and wouldn't mind trying this one considering all the brushless tail options. Do you have the newest version (little black one) ?
U gonna do a build and flight on the tb70?
I’m hoping so! Saving for one now.
Do you think the OMP/Goosky kits are easier or harder to build than an SAB? Or, the new Align TB 600 kits which looks like a lot of the main components are already assembled but you'd just go back through and lock tight the parts.
Have both the 420 raw and M4, the M4 is waaayyyy easier to build
So I’ve built, roughly 17 SAB RAW 420 kits. I could literally build them with my eyes closed. I personally think the RAW 420 kit is an easier build with less parts. The only thing that really separates it on the difficulty scale would be the ESC Hass to be soldered. I’m not a big fan of parts coming pre-assembled because it’s just more work to pull them all the way apart make sure everything is clean and then reassemble. I would much rather just assemble them from the bags.
👍🙂
Thank you!
Would you say this is easier to build than a RS4? Seems like it could go together very quick.
I don’t know about easier. I would say it’s about the same build. I haven’t gotten past the stage yet, but so far it’s roughly the same.
when should i use high strength (red) or medium strength (blue) loctite
You will never need or use Red. Blue is more then enough for any heli build. I use SAB blue or loctite 243.
@@westhobbiesrc8051 my fusion 480 kit utilizes hs loctite
Wow, I was unaware of the m4! I have a question. Can you make a vid of it binding the radio master tx16s to a blade nano s3. I got the rtf version and the controller sucks. I don’t want to spend $300 on a dx6i. That would be greatly appreciated.
It is their newest model. So I unfortunately do not have a TX16S anymore. I had some issues resulting in a few crashes from radio loss and I could no longer trust the transmitter. But if you send me an email, I can send you a model file for my blade, MCPXBL2 that should work.
@@westhobbiesrc8051 oh, wow. Thank you for letting me know. What is your recommended spectrum radio if your on a budget?
Contact me in comment please when you upload part 2 , this is very interesting
Make sure you turn notifications on, so you can get notified when I upload. Every Monday will be a build video.
Please, the squeezy sound of rotation at 12:44 - 12:48 is normal? Everything looks greased, so why?

Heck yeah!
