You can set your trim up on a switch… that way if you bump the trim you don’t shut off the engine. Also you can go under the “Info” menu on the hub and prime the fuel pump. Let it run for a little bit and then connect the main fuel line to engine.
Great idea on setting the trim to a switch! I did prime the fuel pump that way, but I guess I didn’t let it run long enough I only let it run until I got fuel.
Awesome heli, Your channel just popped up on my feed. Subscribed, I use to fly heli's in the mid to late 90's with mechanical gyros and flybar's lol. Crazy how much this hobby changed.
Thank you for watching and subscribing! I started flying helis in the late 90s with a GMP Cricket. No tail gyro. I remember those days lol times have sure changed!
woa i love that control, touch screen, handling and menu...🤤💯 And finnaly the full sound and not just a fraction epic 🤩🤤 I just love it mate you did such a great job and its just crazy cool
Thank you! It’s been a fun project and something different. It definitely challenged me which I really liked and enjoy that aspect of building and creating something different. I can’t wait to fly it.
Jeff, amazing amount of set-up and build knowledge in this video, and your helicopter 🚁 does sound amazing, the turbine starts off sounding like a old “white gas” ⛽️ Coleman lantern . . . And then the realization of extreme rpm takes over, if the turbine only had exhaust on 1 side, the thrust would tend to spin the helicopter 🚁😮. 🤞🏻🍀
Thank you! I appreciate that. It’s been a challenging but fun project. I have really enjoyed building this Heli. I can’t wait to get it in the air. The RPM is crazy! Idle is 60,000 RPM and goes past 120,00 RPM.
I remember watching your videos prior to this one where you were explaining what you were going to do to make room for the jet. Very Simple, very well thought out. It looks SUPER CLEAN! I don't know if you get the "Jitters" anymore when flying Heli's, but this might? LOL. Thanks Jeff!
This has been a long and thought out project. I started the build in January, I spent a week just looking at it and thinking how I wanted to do everything. Then waiting on parts to be made to designing and printing parts. Lots of work went into this heli. I don’t get nervous very often, but I’m definitely nervous on this one!
Very loud! That is the reason I cut the video is because it just blew the mic out and you couldn’t hear anything especially when I got on the throttle that close. It’s probably smart to wear earplugs when you’re standing right next to it.
It uses a gear box. There is 90 degrees gear box that’s driver of a turbine blade. Engine spools the second turbine blade which drives the gear box and runs the clutch.
Can’t wait to see it fly
@@bugslayer-sama I’ve got a bunch of flight videos on it now.
@ yes yes I’ve been binging them! Good stuff, absolutely satisfying! 👌
lets gooo🤩 hyped to see it in the air. hope you are doing well. greetings
Thank you! I always appreciate it. I cannot wait to get this thing in the air and fly it!
Awesome work Jeff, pumped to see this bird fly for the first time!
Awesome Jeff . Can’t wait to see it in the Air .

It sure does! Sounds even better in person!

didn't know there so much to a r/c chopper that takes a bit of work to get it going
@@oneeyegaming_yt there is a lot to RC helis, especially a custom turbine.
Dam, sick setup and next level transmitter to
Awesome
Thank you!
well done...u have a very high work rate...all great material and content
Great save Jeff! Dam, that was some heavy breathing man!!! Could hear your heart pounding. lol!
Should put some gold foil heat tape on the inside if the frame and bottom of the plastic close to the exhaust
Wow! Very cool! How loud is it? Do you need earplugs?

Please stop teasing us and get that wicked thing in the air. LOL
Trust me, I can’t wait to fly it!
That's insane! I don't understand how you figure out all the little things you need to do to even turn it on.
A high amp speaker shaped like a helicopter not bad not bad🎉
Great!. As easy to start as a real helicopter 😂 Can't wait to see it fly.
hey, why did you set the cyclic servo frequency 144hz?, thanks
I didn’t, I just didn’t get to that part when I film that clip. I set it to 333.
what is the metal line that goes over the muffler??
It is a oiler line that goes to the gearbox.
You need to either double or triple the size but make it more motorcycle shaped and you got your mk2 oppressor itl
holyshit, looks good
That's Cool 😎
Does it use a hydrostatic transmission to transfer power?
It uses a gear box. There is 90 degrees gear box that’s driver of a turbine blade. Engine spools the second turbine blade which drives the gear box and runs the clutch.
Yes please looking forward to that flight,,,🤙🏼🤙🏼💪🏼💪🏼
Sub’s.
What fuel and mix do you use?
I run kerosene with 4% king tech oil
Do you have to get a license for this?
Like a turbine waver?
YOOO VID IS OUT .... ahhh shit that 5 min ad break before it ... be back after xD
5 minute break add!? I had no idea there is a 5 minute add?
@@westhobbiesrc8051 2 ads... which i watched to the end out of respect to a youtuber who definitely needs funding after he build a helicopter 😉😅
The filter between pump and turbine is the wrong position. Filter must be before the pump. Please read the instruction from Gaspar
yes, I know they say to put it before the pump but I’m running an filter clunk as well so it’s got plenty of filter.
Looks like it’s going to be nose heavy
It’s pretty nose heavy!
