- Ever wondered how strong your NPCs actually are? Did you know that defeating bosses in Terraria actually buffs your NPCs' attack power and defense? The new Advanced Combat Techniques Volume 1 and 2 also provide further buffs to NPC stats.
Today we answer the age old question: How strong exactly can the guide NPC be? Is a maxed out guide NPC amazing enough to defeat the Moonlord? Stay tuned to find out!

That fallen star was like Redigit himself saying "Ey, I got you homie!" and striking down king slime in divine retribution.
True or it could even be moon lord like seeing his son having trouble and just decides to help his son out moon lord probably threw that falling star like a shuriken

I once saw a zombie get smited with a falling star crit, it dealt about 1250 damage.
I challenge you to be friendly to the NPCs for ones. I know it’s more or less impossible, but I believe in you!
That is a difficult thing to do, but it sounds like a good idea

@@damienearl8302 she can't deal damage, her syringes will heal and she only targets other npcs
@@mr.chipotle9716 I'm not sure if it's a Zenith seed exclusive or something, but I've actually seen her take out enemies before, apparently her syringes can poison them

Strictly speaking, you missed out on a potential 3 def/10% atk - if you create an artificial biome of the opposite evil in your world (in your case, Corruption) and bring the boss summoning item, you'd also have been able to defeat Eater of Worlds. NPCs will benefit from the stat boosts bestowed by Brain *and* Eater, even though that isn't normally possible (outside of certain seeds like getfixedboi)
We need more episodes of this. Absoluty wonderfull.

Would be cool if by defeating moonlord all NPC’s got one last upgrade to their weapons. Guide, still using a wooden bow, would use instead better arrows. Or perhaps if you would be able to reforge their weapons and/or equip NPC’s with 1 accesory. That would be pretty cool as well.
We need this with all the other NPCs, PLUS, one that includes all the NPCs at once.
Does Deerclops not provide any boosts to NPCs when you murder him?

If only NPC combat system can be customized...
Not sure about combat system but you can customize their attack speed (and other less relevant stats) with mods. The difference is night and day once you make them attack as often as a human player.
The best part about the npcs in this game is that your character is their God and they worship you like one by celebrating your victories over bosses.

It's doesn't give buffs
i'm probably the only one here who likes the guide and i think he did pretty well for that hes the first npc and is just fighting with a wooden bow. even in hardmode i believe. he just switches arrows. he would probably be more strong in hardmode combat if he actually upgraded his wooden bow to a stronger bow, but guess that would be too much work.
