Hey guys, I'm so proud of you that you made it! I also conclude that the outward hike went well ;-) I have been to the Caldeirao do Inferno with a friend back in February 2009. It was far easier, as it was a dry year, the levadas were not overflowing and the railings not damaged by landslides, I wouldn't have dared to do the hike in these conditions. The "waterfall" in the Caldeirao do Inferno was just a trickle. Again, Congratulations! But I would not call the second stretch "ugly", rather "overwhelming".
What an incredibly exciting adventure! It looks suuuuuuper scary but sooo exciting!! I only pray one day I'll be able to get rid of this annoying plantar fasciitis and be able to hike again and visit Madeira and do these incredible levadas 😍😍🤩🤩

Hi, thanks for watching! The app is AllTrails. I used it exclusively for stuff in Europe due to the big database of routes. I have the pro version where you can download the map, which is helpful. In other countries that are a bit more off the beaten track I find the AllTrails database not so good, so I end up using Wikiloc. Hope this helps!
Still closed to today. I wonder if they will ever reopen the last part of the levada to the public. Well at least you can walk there without hundreds of other people.
Would you go through those last tunnels?
This looked dangerous asf man! I'm happy you made it and got those beautiful shots. Well done guys!
It got a bit crazy toward the end...😂
Awesome vid team. Looks absolutely stunning. Loved the bonus “that’s what she said” which seemed to go unnoticed 😂
Thanks bro, Viv doesn't react to my jokes anymore😂
What an amazing adventure!

Ador călătoriile voastre❤
Mersi de vizionare!
Hi! Awesome walk. What’s the app that you’re showing in 16:05 where you’re tracking your progress on the route?
Hi, thanks for watching!

That hike is closed at the moment. I guess it's closed since about that period you went there.
Minunat felicitări
Mersi!
Will they stop me if I go there now? What bus can I take to get there?
Ah they put up a guardrail, we did it before when that wasnt there, it was quite scary
Yeah, it was knocked down in certain sections by landslides... pretty scary
Thanks for watching!

100% agree, way better without the crowds. Feels like an Indiana Jones adventure!
