Nice explain and presentation, thanks for sharing
Pretty nice looking airplane, Albert! Great flying! 😃
Stay safe there! 🖖😊
Just setting mine up now. Very informative. Thanks
I tried it, it's not the tipstall, in some cases if you give the pitch command while doing the turn it could go into a spin due to the roll / rudd mix in 6g mode. In other cases the radio loses its signal
I've bought one of these and I'm waiting for it to arrive. been watching loads of videos and everybody has been victim to spin stalls. I have a theory which I'm gonna try when I get it. With the gyro calibrated with the plane on the ground the tail is on the floor so the angle of attack is higher than it would be in level flight. I wonder if with the tail propped up so that the plane is level on the ground and the gyro recalibrated it might cure the stalls. It does look tail heavy in the air as if the gyro, thinking it's level, is fighting to keep the nose up. Anyway great video 👍
That's an interesting theory, but it doesn't explain why the rudder suddenly starts over-reacting like I showed after the crash. It doesn't do that at the beginning, only later.
@@AlbertKimTV you're right it doesn't, I might not bother with the little springs on the tail wheel. They might be a bit much for the servo.
@@AlbertKimTV if there's some mixing going on with the rudder to coordinate the turn and it's snapping over too far it's going to skid the turn, the nose will drop, the gyro will pull up with the elevator, the inner wing stalls and down she goes. Need to teach the electronics P.A.R.E.
@@danielnightingale8085Bro, I'm pretending to buy it, but, you know, I want something good, that would work for at least a year, what do you recommend me?
@@sojadeouro3484 I bought one based on the reviews like this video and others like it. I'm new to the hobby and the guys making good content like this should help you make an informed decision. 👍
Wish i could use a Spektrum NX series transmitter for all my RC toys. I have a A160 J3-Cub Skylark, Horizon Hobbyzone Sport Cub S2, WL Toys V913 Heli, WL Toys V950 Heli. Is there any transmitter out there that will bind to all of my models ?
Not sure if it will bind to all of those, but these OpenTX radios with the multi protocol modules are the only ones that have any chance to bind with all that.
This thing fly's like a brick, 180+ Grams! 30/100 heavier than the UMX Cub! Thank's for your video.
As I imagined, many are experiencing sudden drops of this rc plane. Soon I'll try it too, and I'll install a normal rx in pwm plus a normal radio for RC
as with most of these planes i wish they would come out with an arf but i guess the money is in cheap electronics.
@@josephfreeman5289 I tried it well, it flies very well in the absence of wind or with a light breeze, in these conditions there is no "tipstall", if you fly with medium winds and gusts you have to fly in 3D mode. To increase the radio signal, change the position of the antenna away from the metal rods
It's funny - back in the days of "aero ace" the flight was exciting as you had limited control. I once got caught in a thermal, but trying to turn (2 props for turn and lift) was enough to send me higher, so every flight was a challenge. Now it's toss and "as you can see, hands free launch." We've come a long way, but we've lost something too.
The stabilizer is a nice improvement but also can cause problems too. Pros and cons just like with anything.
I was able to add a 1200 mah battery by placing it in the cockpit area. I then ran the wires back to the “battery” door area so they can still be easily hooked up. The only compromise being you can’t swap batteries but it will fly for nearly 20 minutes on a full charge.
Wow, nice
It helped it a lot! The added weight just makes it fly better. I did have to give it some down trim because it did move the CG back a little. Can you do a video explaining how to disable the stability thing tho? Like what menus do you go through on the radio?
Yes, I would like to see another video without the stabilizer. Can you reprogram the stabilizer ?
I don't know how to reprogram the stabilizer
1st of all, yes, please make a another video on this model. I'd like to see it successful flown. I still enjoyed your video. You really tried hard to not crash😁
I'm not sure if this receiver is the same as my Volantex 761-4 sport cub but I have that same problem. When I bind with my Jumper T16 Pro and move the yaw stick slightly the rudder moves all the way to that side....but kinda twitchy. I found that if I turn off stabilization that problem goes away. When I'm flying I don't see the tipstall problem, probably because the sport cub has a tiny rudder.
The receiver board in that model is completely different.
Done present guys.
I was attempting to bind this plane to radio master zorro using the KN settings and binding but no go. Does the receiver in the plane have a bind button or something else to put it into bind mode besides powering it on?
Thanks for the video
There's no bind button. Did you update your 4-in-1 firmware to the latest version?
@ I’ll have to check, I literally got the Zorro yesterday, I was thinking it was up to date but I will check, thanks
Hi! How could it be moved to crossfire?..
You have to replace the flight controller board on the inside. Not an easy job.
Similar issue with rudder - for mine, it has almost no movement of rudder, then suddenly you get full throw.... but it randomly DOES NOT CENTRE when released to central on transmitter. So I am sometimes left with a high degree of uncommanded rudder which snap rolls ir spins the model. Totally bizzare. Swapped servos - same thing. It is the board.
Yeah, I heard it's fixed in later batches.
Hi Albert, Great video as usual, thanks for the tut
I have a question about this, would it work if i used the iRangeX iRX6 Multiprotocol Module with my flysky i6 on this XKA160?
I understand that the XK A160 is actually under WLtoys and uses the KN protocol, after checking out your other video on the iRX6, the instructions dont say if it works with the A160, would it work using the other WLtoys models?
Hope you can answer my question!
thanks in advance!
Sorry, I don't know if that setup will work.
@@AlbertKimTV oh thats ok, thanks anyways!
How long is the flight autonomy? Thanks.
Depends on conditions but around 7-8 minutes for me.
@@AlbertKimTV Bellissimo aéreo Grazie!
Is there away you can lock it to not turn so sharp to stop those tip stalls
Perhaps put a limit on the endpoints in the radio when using a multiprotocol module?
I have 2 deviationtx remotes, none of them can bind to my XK A160 through KN/Wltoys protocol, what could i be doing wrong?
You may need to update your firmware but I'm not sure how up to date the deviationtx side is compared to a MPM module. Sorry, I no longer own a deviationTX radio due to these kinds of issues.
@@AlbertKimTV thanks for the reply, i believe both are up to date tho, KN protocol with the Wltoys subprotocols are available on both remotes, theyre just not binding to the A160 whatever i try
Tipstall problem solved, change the position of the receiver antenna away from metal rods as far as possible
Is that really a failsafe?
@@AlbertKimTV Today I understood what it is, it happens in 6g mode when there is a lot of wind, especially while the tail controls are operated at the same time. In the absence of wind or light breeze this problem does not occur. Of course it doesn't happen in 3d mode. Changing the position of the antenna increases the maximum distance that can be reached
@@AlbertKimTV Hello Albert! Have you tried this solution already? At the moment I can't do this I'm really curious ;) That would be awesome. Another question is have you tried any RX mod? I'm thinking about zohd kopilot with some micro servos, but I'm not sure if it wouldn't be too heavy. On the other hand I can put inside flysky fs ia6b rx and plug it just with servos without any FC, but I'm not sure again if it wouldn't be too heavy (with ia6b rx).
Keep up good job man ;)
