Yup, it's an amazing parody of religions blaming gay people for everything and they thing is, from Islamists to some nutter in York, England, they do whether it's kids education, floods or what have you. You have to love it, from a nation where 90% are atheists we get to deal with these minority religious people and try not to laugh at what they claim.
This is satire, making fun of religion in general and Christianity in particular - not the gays. For context: Sweden is a very secular society that prides itself on its egalitarianism. Religious freedom does not mean impunity, and if you say something judgemental or discriminating in the name of your God, you are not exempt from criticism just because you're pious.
First I would like to say. This is not what most of us actually think in Sweden . This is a way of bringing up the subject that we as humans often are quick to blame different groups in our society/in the world for our problems and issues. Bögarna or the gays could just as easily have been changed to immigrants, Christians, Muslims, Jews, and so on. Unfortunately this is something we as humans have done for as long as there have been humans. Joking about this topic is meant to make us think. That why this song is so over the top ridiculous.
If you liked this one you should definitely watch Grotesco and DJ Trexx doing Tingeling but be warned it’s making a bit of a mockery of Putin and Russians.….. this is the full clip, but sadly there are no subtitles… ua-cam.com/video/bRUX3nXahUg/v-deo.htmlsi=VBn-LkLWUEpczBWp and if you enjoyed this one you would probably also enjoy the second part of Tingeling with Grotesco and DJ Trexx!! ua-cam.com/video/YIF55SUOnn0/v-deo.htmlsi=C4nvdS5b-1pA6TJ7
The fact is that the word bög is ancient Swedish and really means a bad person, therefore it has also become a word for a homosexual man. What the lyrics of the song is that it's the bad people's fault.
This one was actually very appreciated and well received by the gay community. From what I've heard they even played it at the pride festival.

I have a feeling that you did not get the satir at all but you still laugh, so you are one of the targets of this excellent performance.
Feelings is not facts!
Hope you listen to tingeling with grotesco.

' don't know where you got that from... I bet hardly any Swede (modern or ancient) thinks that the song is about anything other than homosexual men...
