I love that you shared this, perhaps on the next iteration of something along this lines, you could zoom in closer to the journal as the only thing I can discern from this distance is is the ghosting. You are my inspiration and my BuJo muse
Recovering Perfectionist?! Lol I wish I could be one... It drives my family crazy because I am such a perfectionist I even rip out paper and start over on my grocery lists...
When you're OCD 😂😂😂 sometimes I hate it cause whenever I don't draw a perpendicular line I will destroy it and redraw it drives ppl crazy cause of how much paper I waste
Just spotted the weekly set up - it's essential for me but I've never thought of doing it with a daily one! You must do another flip through one day with all the new ideas you'r using :)
+Charmaine W Yes! It's something I decided to try out this week, and so far I love it! It will never replace my dailies, but I love seeing the entire week's schedule at a glance. I'll be doing a new flip-through very soon :)
Nice job Kara. Thanks for sharing your supplies. I used to want to be an art teacher, but decided I didn't have the patience. However, I LOVE art and all things creative, so I have a love affair with color and markers and anything that can unleash my creativity. I don't use washi tape in my BUJO either.. but I do use it to decorate those cheap-o card packs you can get in the dollar spot at Target ($3 for a pack). I make strips and grids on the cards, and one or two strips on the envelope and it's snazzes it right up.
Awesome! I'm very new to bujo and you have been such an inspiration for me! I've been a planner lover since forever and just 2 days ago decided to give bujo a try. I jumped right in and I am loving it! Woot woot! ^_^ Excited to see where it goes! Tfs!
I agree with you about being a recovering perfectionist, except that white out still drives me crazy! I started to just draw two lines through my mistakes. I just own it head on and let it give my journal character.
absolutely in love with this video! :) here are some of my video requests: - Calendex Video - Plan With Me: March - Updated Bullet Journal Flip Through
As always, another fantastic video from Kara! Always inspiring. However, I missed the teal nailpolish. :) It's sort of become Your Thing. ;) Can't wait till next week. I get excited when it's Friday!
Thanks for sharing Kara! I LOvE Diamine Marine, been a fav of mine for years. I use that exact same journal for my personal daily journal, great minds think alike, haha :) -Brian
Sad panda. I am boycotting Faber Castel. Lol My very first one I've ever used. (I should've listened to the employee telling me all the problems the FC PITT's have) Going with Micron next time if I ever try Bujo-ing again in the future. My dog got stuck outside and started yelping. I jumped out of my chair and ran to help. My FC PITT pen was uncapped on my Bujo where I left it. However the pen leaked all over my journal. So much so that it went through 8 pages Now I can't read anything. All that hard work wasted And with my bad memory I don't know what was in there. I'm SOL and realize that my only concern with Bujo was actualized. NEVER KEEP ALL YOUR EGGS IN ONE BASKET! I wish you all the best. Not sure if I have the energy to start over. I'll see everyone in the community sooner than later hopefully. Thank you @BohoBerry You are an inspiration!!!!
Thank you for this video! The pen recommendations are excellent, and I'm sure the Staedtler pens will be great for my colouring books too as I hate pen bleeding!!
Do you buy the brush pens separately or in a pack? Which pack? Thank you! P.s. I discovered you a few days ago and I've been OBSESSED! Can't wait to start bullet journaling!
Hi Kara. I'm trying to decide between the EF and Fine in the the Twsbi 580. Do you find the EF scratchy? I like the Faber Castell S for text and F for headers so thought EF. But i find my Lamy fine a little scratchy so wanted to see what you thought.
Is the paper in the Leuchtturm notebooks smooth enough to make it easy to write with porous point pens like the Staedtlers? I have tried writing with them but my handwriting is so terrible because it's like it catches on the paper. I really like using medium PaperMate Flairs in my Moleskine instead. And how fast does the fountain pen ink dry on the paper so that you can close the journal? I love this channel and everything that you have inspired me to think about!
+exitbuddy I don't have any issues writing with them in the Leuchtturm. As far as the fountain pens go... it all depends on the ink, but I find that within a few seconds I can safely close the notebook or even run my fingers across the page without smudges. Hope that helps!
Hi Kara, thank you so much for your videos, I am now a total addict!! I wanted to ask you if there is is a real difference between the Tombow and the Faber Castell (for the brush pen)? Thanks a lot!
+Cathy Maddox Thanks Cathy! I've had no issues with the weight. I can definitely tell the difference, but it doesn't bother me if that makes sense? The aluminum body with the copper grip feels very well-balanced to me :)
Hi, I'm interested in buying some bullet journal supplies as I have been doing it for a couple of months now. Just wondering if the tombow brush pens are water based.
Hello! I love your channel very much. I have been reading your blog aswell and I think I'm going to buy a bullet journal very soon.... Hahaha I'm an illustrator and I was wondering if you have an opinion in using micron sakura pens in this notebook? because I have so many of those pens for my illustrations (very thick paper) and I was just thinking if they bleed through the pages maybe I should order the Faber castell ones when I order the journal. Thanks 😘
+Patricia I have used microns in my Leuchtturm before and they work great! I prefer the Faber Castell but that's just personal preference. If you love your microns then I say go for it :)
I've followed you on UA-cam and Pinterest since your first bullet journal video! I've always used a squared moleskine and I've decided to switch to a leuchtturm after my current bullet journal is full. I was just wondering why you chose dot grid as opposed to squared? Is there a huge difference?
+Adriana Simpson I think it's all a matter of personal preference. I like the dot grid because the dots almost fade into the background after you write or sketch on the page :)
Hi Kara I was wondering if you knew of a site that has a constant stock and price of Leuchtturms? Right now on amazon some are really expensive, and most colors are out of stock on Goulet Pens :(
+manumtz91 I always highly recommend Goulet, but they do sometimes run low on stock. Besides Amazon I don't have any other recommendations unfortunately :(
+Alex Yirrell Honestly? Not much. I use it every now and then to cover up a mistake. Most often I use it for sealing letters or decorating envelopes :)
Hi, Kaycee! I make them available in my Etsy shop the first day of every month- you might want to sign up for my newsletter so you know when they go live, as they usually sell out in a couple hours! www.bohoberry.com/about/email-signup/
I have been using .7 zebra pens. One of them is starting to skip. I have spent $15 on pens, and would I be better off getting a moleskine one or wait and see? I use the moleskine notebook. I know you use different.
I have a question about your Van Gogh pen. In one of the reviews I read it said that the pen is pretty wet. Do you find this to be a problem? Thank you!
+Lynette Davila It is definitely a wet writer, but I don't see that as necessarily being a problem. It writes super smooth, and depending on the ink, it will bleed through the paper due to how much ink it lays on the page. I always do a little test at the back of each notebook to determine how a pen/ink will react. If it's too wet for my notebook, I can always still use it in my Rhodia dot pad or for writing letters, etc. :)
I think you are better off not decorating with washi tape because I have been and my bullet is getting fatter and fatter--LOL! I've decided to stop and do more drawing or doodling--anything but adding bulk. :)
i seriously live my creative desires through your videos!!!
+jackie flores Aw, that's awesome! Thanks :)
I love that you shared this, perhaps on the next iteration of something along this lines, you could zoom in closer to the journal as the only thing I can discern from this distance is is the ghosting. You are my inspiration and my BuJo muse
+BeekoKat [Marcia] You betcha! I'll keep that in mind for future pen tests :)

Could you be Finding_Sara?

No way I have that same whiteout haha. I'm going thru all your videos Kara, so fun and relaxing too. :)
I have the exact same pairing of the turquoise Metro with a medium nib and a Diamine Marine ink. I love it!
+Megan Alissa Swartz It's such a great combo!
that visconti is stuuuunnniiinnngg I want the starry night one so bad!!
Awesome! I'm very new to bujo and you have been such an inspiration for me! I've been a planner lover since forever and just 2 days ago decided to give bujo a try. I jumped right in and I am loving it! Woot woot! ^_^ Excited to see where it goes! Tfs!
So cool to see your "tools"! My co-pilot loves the Staedtler Pens, too, but I think they are too thin for me. Thanks for sharing!
I agree with you about being a recovering perfectionist, except that white out still drives me crazy! I started to just draw two lines through my mistakes. I just own it head on and let it give my journal character.

+Pam Gawluk Haha! Funny story... I decided to go clean nails on this one because I didn't want to bore people with the same old nails each video haha!
+Boho Berry Hahaha. Ironic!!
I love that phrase 'recovering perfectionist'. That's me. I use erasable Frixion pens. But I want to move into the Faber Castell
Love your enthusiasm!
Thanks for sharing Kara! I LOvE Diamine Marine, been a fav of mine for years. I use that exact same journal for my personal daily journal, great minds think alike, haha :) -Brian
+The Goulet Pen Company Great minds indeed, sir... great minds indeed! :-)
The Goulet Pen Company do you think the TWSBI mini with a stub nib would bleed in this journal?

You are an inspiration!!!!
I love your videos! You were my inspiration to start a bujo :)
I feel like you should zoom a little more in
Thank you for this video! The pen recommendations are excellent, and I'm sure the Staedtler pens will be great for my colouring books too as I hate pen bleeding!!
+chboskyy Yes! I love the Staedtlers for coloring as well :)
I love your videos! They are so inspiring keep it up!
Thank you! The pen test as really interesting!
Would you consider making an updated version if you've changed or added anything to the supplies?
I'm planning on doing such a video for like a month now but you were faster haha :) Great video as always!
+Coraline Aberlove Thanks Coraline! Still do yours, I'd love to see :)
I can't believe you have I UA-cam! I just ran across you here. I saw you on Pinterest
Do you buy the brush pens separately or in a pack? Which pack? Thank you!
P.s. I discovered you a few days ago and I've been OBSESSED! Can't wait to start bullet journaling!
Hi! Should I use a small sketchbook as my bujo?
Ooh I adore this video!! ❤️
+Mirthe van Hoorn Thanks Mirthe! Hugs!
Do you use the bigger tip pens from the Faber-Castell set often?
Are fountain pens different from pens you use for calligraphy?
I just love your videos! Thank you! You are helping me with so many ideas. HUGS :)
+Tracee Free Hugs right back at you Tracee... thank you :)

Are the Steatdler pens more pen like or sharpie like when you write?

Thanks a lot!
I find that the Staedtler tricolor felt tips get hard to write with after it's been used for a long period of time. It gets really short...
I enjoyed this video and your Karas Kustoms Fountain K is so pretty. Is the weight of the fountain k an issue?
+Cathy Maddox Thanks Cathy! I've had no issues with the weight. I can definitely tell the difference, but it doesn't bother me if that makes sense? The aluminum body with the copper grip feels very well-balanced to me :)
Hi, I'm interested in buying some bullet journal supplies as I have been doing it for a couple of months now. Just wondering if the tombow brush pens are water based.
Do you think the twsbi mini with a stub nib would bleed in this journal?
Do the staedler triplus fineliners bleed ??
I love this! Do the triplus fineliners bleed through the paper?
It depends on the notebook, but they do really well in the Leuchtturm1917 :)
Awesome! I'm going to start bullet journaling soon and I'm interested in getting them :)
Where do you get your supplies?
thanks BB. very helpful

It's so cute how you say "Leuchtturm" :D I can say that because its a german word and I am from Germany :P
So kara do you use a ruled journal or dotted and how do you write in a dotted one please make a video about it!!!
She uses dotted paper and so do I. It's great!
Besides Amazon I don't have any other recommendations unfortunately :(
Are the pages perforated? Some of the reviews online say they are but I can't tell in your videos. If they are, are they easily torn or sturdy?
There are a few perferated pages ib the back but thats it. And yes, they're pretty sturdy. At least they are in mine! Hope this helped!
Thanks so much for this video! Where do you normally purchase your ink from? :)
+Claudia Hall I get almost all of my ink from gouletpens.com :)
Awesome thank you!!
what do you use your washi tape for? great video thanks
+Alex Yirrell Honestly? Not much. I use it every now and then to cover up a mistake. Most often I use it for sealing letters or decorating envelopes :)
Where can I find a label like the one on the cover of your notebooks?
Hi, Kaycee! I make them available in my Etsy shop the first day of every month- you might want to sign up for my newsletter so you know when they go live, as they usually sell out in a couple hours! www.bohoberry.com/about/email-signup/
What are your thoughts of the moleskine pen?
I haven't tried it out yet but I've been intrigued by it for sure
I have been using .7 zebra pens. One of them is starting to skip. I have spent $15 on pens, and would I be better off getting a moleskine one or wait and see? I use the moleskine notebook. I know you use different.

If it's too wet for my notebook, I can always still use it in my Rhodia dot pad or for writing letters, etc. :)
Is your van Gogh pen a fine or medium?
Would you suggest a dot grid or plain for a leuchtturm?
Elizabeth Duffie I think she uses dots for hers
Elizabeth Duffie I think a dot grid is better because that makes it a little easier to write straight or draw straight lines. I hope this makes sense
We need an update!! haha
where did you buy the journal?
The links are all in the video description :)
I have the lemon and the berry leuchtturm ❤️❤️
I think you are better off not decorating with washi tape because I have been and my bullet is getting fatter and fatter--LOL! I've decided to stop and do more drawing or doodling--anything but adding bulk. :)
Who else was going angry about the steadleir pens not being in rainbow order??? OCD
me but i actually have ocd. it sucks assssss
I use the UNNI notebooks, it's half the price of any book!
And, it has the uality of Leuchtturm!
She said "they are markers" then said "they are tombow brush pens" xD lmao they are more.like markers though I love your videos ❤❤❤
"I love it. It's like a blue-black"
*Me crying* "EVERYTHING IS BLUE-BLACK"
(Sorry I had to)

She has great videos but she could move talk a little faster, her videos are too long
