well i just say they bring back the OP "back button" quick catch. so easy, so clean. i miss it.

I almost didn't even watch this, since I already use the "quick catch" glitch/method, but I'm glad I did, as I had no idea about the "ball recall" glitch/method. Thanks!
Side note: If Niantic ever "fixes" the "quick catch" glitch I may have to quit playing, as I don't think I could go back to waiting for the catch animation on EVERY mon I catch lol
Had I been using this trick this whole time, my 8,000+ pokemon caught so far would probably be closer to 16,000.

@@iPlayGreen I'm pretty sure it only works if you click one of the balls before the ball you just threw hits the ground or the Pokemon you're throwing at. I still haven't quite got it down myself, I'm too used to immediately clicking somewhere on the screen when I miss.

I saw another UA-camr comment on this and she does have regular communication with Niantic. She mentioned she asked them if it was against their terms of use and they said no, it’s clear to use this trick.

Doesn't work anymore, at least on Samsung s9+, when hit the ball the Pokemon disappears and the ball on the screen is just bouncing, have to hit the run button because only way to get out of screen. Stick to original way, this way just doesn't work anymore.

I use left thumb on berry tray and throw with my right -- throwing left curveballs. Weird, I know. Point is that you do not need to pull the tray all the way to the opposite side of the screen for it to work. I only slide my thumb about 1/4 inch to the right, just enough to get that elongation of the circle. Leaves plenty of room for my right hand to do curveballs and I still do the fast catches. Hope this helps!
thing is you wouldnt be able to call your ball back with this method. which was like literally 90% of the point he was trying to make. so thats cool and all but irrelevant
@@jackhofalot6705 Yeah, you may not think I know Jack, but I know this. He not only shows in the video that you can use the berry tray the same way, but as soon as I watched the video I tried it and it works. My point was about not having to drag the tray all the way across the screen and, again, it works. ETA: it also works not having to drag the ball tray all the way across the screen.
Started up again instead of trying Harry Potter, and started to do it like that. Need to get it down to my right hand only... Consistently like it is w/ both.

Technique for CDay: quick catch to shiny check, only run away if the pokemon isn't worth keeping. I stay on the ball shake screen for high CP and shinies, then run away once catch is confirmed.

@@keegancarroll2734 the more shiny checks you do the better odds of getting a shiny. If you also quick catch, you will better your odds of shinies and candies. Don't get stuck on a low cp pokemon just shiny check and quick catch the rest.
Since i use the lower left corner to make my throws, my finger was always in the way holding the ball tray. I found out you can still hold the ball tray by sliding your thumb all the way to the left and halfway up the side of the screen so that i can still throw my normal way while using the trick. Until I found that out I rarely used it because my throws felt so clumsy.
I only use it when I'm in rush or during community day events which I'm trying to grind harder than usual.
I like the skip animation for gift opening. Simply hit where the "x" usually is in the bottom center of the screen right after hitting open.
I'm going to be honest, I've also watched the trick with FLW Videos and I still don't get it...

I got it. Just kept practicing. Now I can save my pokeballs too.
The poke ball and berry icon slightly move over when you hold it down. This is where the glitch is in the code. After that, you simply close out the ball menu by tapping the open area on the screen and hitting run.
You gotta be careful making videos about the quick catch glitch. The way niantic had been lately. They will probably fix that so people stop having fun and catch Pokemon the hella slow way.

Considering the first videos on this were posted almost 2 years ago and they haven't fixed it, I seriously doubt it. I posted my quick catch video in February 2018.

Not necessarily. They won't stop the cheaters in Ingress. And.... it doesn't seem to work for Samsung Galaxy phones. I'm guessing it's only an iPhone thing. Can't even Flee after throwing a ball.

He saya you cannot quick catch with premiere balls but I've seen people quick catch with the berries tray...though I would never run out of a raid or shadow encounter 😅
He said you can quick catch but you can't do the ball recall. But you bring up a good point... if you can use the berry tray to recall a Pokeball, I wonder if you can use it to recall a Premiere ball? I'm sure he tried...
I literally never catch anything without the quick catch trick lol.

My pogo doesnt have those icons, so you cant drag it across.Doesnt even have run displayed once you choose the ball

Try this. With your right thumb, move the right ball over the middle ball. Then, pick up and throw the ball with your left hand Release right thumb. Press ball screen. Run away. Check recent Pokemon.

@@bobjalockowitz1568 Blue light is unnatural, and hard on the eyes at any time of day, not just night. Try turning blue light filter on all the time for a few days and try to go back to off... It hurts lol.
This doesn't work. When I am holding down with my left thumb and throwing with my right index finger the ball ALWAYS falls short like gravity suddenly increased 10x and its impossible to overcome.

It's 2022 and I somehow had no idea you could recall the ball, which doesn't break catch streaks! I've ignored this video for months because I thought it was just Fast Catch, which I already know. Thanks!
Guys... I think I found a way of catching the pokemon and also getting your ball back ... So, go through the whole process, but when your ball makes contact with the pokemon and goes inside, you want to recall the pokeball. Back out, check if you caught it and if you did then check your balls and you should still have the same amount. If you didn't catch it, no problem! Cuz you recalled your ball back.
This is not 100% verified, I got it to work around 6/10 pokemon
That's weird, this new "recall ball" trick doesn't work on my phone. However, with this new trick, I can use even the regular pokeballs and have 100% catch rate! It's more effective compare to the old trick despite I unable to recall the ball lol :)
Do it work in raids?
I'm left handed and I gotta say, us southpaws got it hard. Most of us dont use our left hand for much and we do things backwards like, hold a guitar upsaide down. Play guitar hero while holding the guitar upside down and not using the lefty flip and pokemon i throw balls with my right hand however i use my right thumb. I can't use my finger. I have the most control with my thumb. I can't speak for all southpaws but we struggle with everything and generally we program our right hand to do a lot of things living in a right hand dominant society.

If you miss the circle and the mon goes into the ball, you can't recall the ball, correct? This would only be an issue with a "Make 3 Great throws in a row" task.
I don't if me only but if I do the trick and suddenly the pokemon move to the place I throw further than their original place and get "great" then instant catch without the ball animation which is weird truly weird and I try 10 times all the same no ball animation and the run button is there but the pokemon I can see but the count of ball is lost 1 *mind blowing*
A little trick i found. Instead of pulling finger holding ball tray to bottom try going to side and middle of screen. This way you can use your normal throw pattern!
Why are UA-camrs posting this glitch? Niantic will fix it because it affects their money flow if they know about it and it might ruin the quick catch glitch too

Did they fix it? Tried this over 100x and it doesn’t work.
I'm guessing everyone else has iPhones. I can't do either thing - I don't have the option to flee, nor does the ball trick work. But everyone else on the comments seems to work for. Since I have a highly popular Samsung Galaxy (new model), and have tried my two older Sony Xperias of different types, I have to guess that it is only a thing that iPhones can do.
Works on my galaxy s9. Grab the pokeball case with your thumb move it a little so you've got hold of it. While your thumb is on the screen throw the pokeball with the other hand hand then let go of your thumb and the poke all case should open then just close the case and the run button should appear in the top left
