I don't really even like country music that much and yet I still find myself coming back to a lot of Johnny Cash's songs and loving every second of it. I guess he's just that good
+Lyric Fuentes Joaquin is a great actor and yes he did do a great job. He Learned and got some pointers from the man in black his self before he passed away the movie was in the works and Joaquin was doing research to do a great job what better research is there then talking to Johnny his self.
He was sincere, He really tried to walk the line. Look at his eyes like looking up to heaven! But things in the material world are very hard. So like the Apostles he failed but like them not always. Look at the way he played the guitar. That's what made that amazing train sound and made him famous. He was extremely talented but he didn't even know or acknowledge it. But people can sense it, that's why they bought his records.
NO ONE is better than the KING...Johnny Cash was fantastic but no one comes close to Elvis's combination of the power and versatility of his voice, his looks, his stage presence...which is why Elvis is the GREATEST performer/entertainer, EVER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Joaquin Phoenix was perfectly cast to play him in the movie. When I watch him play Johny it's like watching the real Johny. He was so believable in the role and his singing was awesome. I cant believe he was cheated from winning the Oscar that year. Reese was very good and won the oscar but Joaquin deserved it too
Hello, I'm Johnny Cash, zlaté hity které se neoposlouchají prostě klasika! Country miluji a Johnny k němu neodmyslitelně patří! Škoda že takovýto zpěvák už není mezi námi čest jeho památce a jeho písním které se zaryjí do srdce každého country milovníka.
johnny cash is the only music that soothes my son, who is 15 months! anytime he hears johnny, he stands quietly and stares at the stereo until the song is finished! ever since he was born, he has loved him. if we are in the car, it like he zones out, contemplating and enjoying. amen for johnny!
The crazy part is that back then he probably would've never predicted how big he would become and how long his music would live. At first glance, almost no one would've looked at him and thought that some day he'd be referred to as a legend
He ended up in a "sitcom" named "Three is Company", I think he died on-set while filming one of the episodes.....please help me if I'm wrong! Anybody.....?
It wasn't Three's Company set, it was several years later. He fell ill on set and was taken to a hospital, initial mis-diagnosed as a heart attack, but it was something else.
Thanks Jim; I didn't know what they were filming, I just understood that he had a fatal heart attack on some set. I would never have recognized him as having been Tex's son.
I like my country music slow like what Jonny did. I've had a lot of people tell me it was always very fast. Jonny was country pop and folk music. He was country just on the very edge. What we have for country music now would be pure pop in his day.
When I was a small child I had asked my father: "Dad, why I have to listen to Johnny Cash ? I dont like this kind of music, I am a metalhead ! And he said: "Because you re son of mine, FOLLOW THE LINE !" Merry CHRISTmas.
He never died, he lives in every soul who's watched this video, and in those who's still playing and love his songs and for those who's carry the sorrow. sorry for my bad spelling.
+James Golding If he'd had a better life? You mean easer. If his life had been easer he wouldn't have been Johnny Cash. He had a really bad rough patch. And his upbringing was hard. But that's what built the carrector of the man who learned how important it was to walk that line. We have so many people today who have gone bat spit crazy. People who till collage had someone handhold them through every little hard time that came along. Now they have no moral compass. Maybe falling down a few times when you're young is what it takes to keep from falling apart when you're older.
and I was not born back then and my 1st language is not English but I love this song...I come back here to listen to it...and watch him....God bless his soul...
This is my favorite J C song. This is how I feel about my husband. My life has gotten better and better over the years because, for him, I walk the line.
This is the best song of all time. What I love about Johnny Cash is that so many people from different generations recognizes his brilliance. I love Cash, my father love Cash, his father love Cash. That can not be said about many other artists.
the people that disliked this are people that don't know what good music they probably like rap and hip hop this man paved the way for those singers god bless u johnny cash
Amaing deep voice at 23yrs of age...Can you imagine in high school answering a question that the male teacher posed, and Johnny speaks up and his voice is deeper than the teachers.
Are we going to ignore how good looking young Johnny is?
I stared at his face the whole time
TheGreenSadFrog Glad I'm not alone
+Kathleen Dole im glad im not alone
im not 😍😍😍❤️
I don't think we've ever ignored that. Lol
Music back then was so simple yet so timeless and beautiful.
I know right! Artists nowadays should learn to write these types of songs. Well... This is just my opinion.
it was way beautiful then. oldies 💖
Yup, though I'm 13, I only like music from back then... Music from today is shit
+DonFanGirl// //Isis yeah i know what you mean I'm 14 and i hate today's music.this music is the best.
+DonFanGirl and joseph Bimberg Bless you both!
I don't really even like country music that much and yet I still find myself coming back to a lot of Johnny Cash's songs and loving every second of it. I guess he's just that good

Joaquin did a fine job covering J.R's music in "Walk the Line".
He did a excellent job hey? some songs its funny cause I actually like his version just a tad better haha
+Lyric Fuentes yes he did good, mr Cash would have been pleased with the movie, sadly he couldn't :(
+Lyric Fuentes Joaquin is a great actor and yes he did do a great job. He Learned and got some pointers from the man in black his self before he passed away the movie was in the works and Joaquin was doing research to do a great job what better research is there then talking to Johnny his self.
+Lloyd Brown I actually prefer the sound on these recordings....every mistake kept in...sounds more authentic, real.
patty loveness
He now walks the line with June in heaven...God bless Johnny
Ironically written for his first wife tho.
He wrote this for his first wife. I listened to two songs he wrote for June. They are forgettable.
Cute comment! X
@@777jil2 it happened they lived and were happy. Stop saying what ppl should have done. Judgey
God Bless
To those saying about the white suit. It's because his mum made it for him.
+RAGED REAPER It's also before he took on his Man In Black persona.
Are you sure? Wasn't it his first wife?
Johnny Cash transcends all musical boundaries and is and is one of the original outlaws.
Yessir
I've always loved his music. His voice is so smooth. I could listen to him for hours
Same!
2 country Legends: Johnny Cash, with his lead guitarist the one and only Luther Perkins
Love his music
THE BEGINNING OF THE LEGEND...J.Cash
GABRIEL BEHD Old Times.
He sounds older then he is here ! Whatta legend. Johnny is a grand inspiration to me. Goes to show how unique his sound was
Joaquin Phoenix was perfectly cast to play him in the movie. When I watch him play Johny it's like watching the real Johny. He was so believable in the role and his singing was awesome. I cant believe he was cheated from winning the Oscar that year. Reese was very good and won the oscar but Joaquin deserved it too
He nailed it 😊
Johnny Cash, Marshall Grant, and Luther Perkins. Johnny and the Tennessee two such a great band
I’m only twelve and I love this song 😎
Johnny Cash was literally dream guy material. So in love I can't even. ❤
i really love johnny cash because he was like the king of country music and this is my favorite song of his

Zepp Talasma I do not know why I should be stupid

Damn, I miss that guy!
Me too
when he says im a fool for you and i walk the line its sad
Such a powerful voice, Cash was one of the best among country singers. Rest in peace! ❤
The crazy part is that back then he probably would've never predicted how big he would become and how long his music would live. At first glance, almost no one would've looked at him and thought that some day he'd be referred to as a legend
Love the way he goes down and grabs that low C at the end. Wish I could do that!
i came here from my grandpas favorite singer...johnny cash. NOT HASLEY
bloody blood who’s hasley
Ryan Archibald someone who did a crap cover of this song
It's halsey
It's Nissy! Who gives a shit? She’ll fall into the realm of obscurity before we know it, while the greats like Johnny Cash will never be forgotten.
He's looks so good! Ugh.
Re-post
It was the good time, R.I.P. Johnny, we miss you, you are one of the best who leave this world too fast
I love Tex Ritter, and I love Johnny Cash...such memories of their music!
Tex Ritter a name i had cmopletely forgotten
I heard he had a son, also named John. I wonder whatever happened to him.
He ended up in a "sitcom" named "Three is Company", I think he died on-set while filming one of the episodes.....please help me if I'm wrong! Anybody.....?

Apple play this song when they've got you on hold (sometimes).
Lol. Really ?
The sun rises each morning and sets every evening in tribute to Johnny Cash. He was a true American Hero! R.I.P John
And at that time he had no clue he would die as a country legend
He was / is a legend. One of kind. No one sounds this good. Thank you Mr Cash for yourself and awesome music.
"As sure as night is dark and day is light, I keep you on my mind both day and night."
I like my country music slow like what Jonny did. I've had a lot of people tell me it was always very fast. Jonny was country pop and folk music. He was country just on the very edge. What we have for country music now would be pure pop in his day.

That there, is something that today's "hit music" will never have. Legends.

No, this was written for his first wife, Vivian Liberto. He didn't even know June at this time.
how do you know? smart a.. melissa
He never died, he lives in every soul who's watched this video, and in those who's still playing and love his songs and for those who's carry the sorrow. sorry for my bad spelling.
It's a shame that the film broke at 2:15 and was spliced back together with a frame or two missing.
Happens a couple of times. Real shame, still there's always the album versions that are complete.
Snær Pîlâjikson no friend thats part of the beauty.
Man I love this guy
The Man In White!
Still he was the man in black
Stfu
My thoughts exactly.

Johnny Cash take it easy man, he was wearing white in this video, no need to be a dick.
to this day, this is still one of my favorite videos of all time. this one, and one of his first performances of "Get Rhythm". I love Johnny so much
No one sings, sang, or will ever sing like Johnny..just saying....

Proof music can be simple & yet brilliant. Love the hair!
Craig Wayne Boyd brought me from the voice
I cried watching this. It's the most sentimental song to me, and the nearest one to my heart. It's beautiful. Gotta miss Johnny.
so this is where the Halsey song is from! super cool. but, I had no idea!
Who is this Halsey person? Oh; ugh: listened to it, or, all I could stand.. Hope she credited him!
and I was not born back then and my 1st language is not English but I love this song...I come back here to listen to it...and watch him....God bless his soul...
