The Greeks are nice people. I like the baker, the pharmacist, the lady. They have good hearts.

So you chose a former Olympic Air hostess, who retired at 42 and is now receiving 1000 Euros per month, owns two houses, one of which she rents out and is clearly having a good time. You chose her to speak about the crisis? I have been working full time since my early twenties and I probably won't get a pension before 67. The previous generations had a party, cannibalizing the future of their children and grandchildren. Now my pay is cut, I have to pay extra taxes or I am let go because some irresponsible people had a party but bailed on the bill. And those idiots, now almost senile, tell us what a good time they had, how many houses they bought and how hard working they were, some of them even reminisce the good times of the dictatorship. It is frustrating to live and work in Greece.

Starship Harpist Olympic Airways was quite an exception thought. Onasis, who founded the company wanted only young top mode style women servicing onboard. And the greek State payed the bill.

You're right. This lady is not at all a sympathetic character, I've no idea why they choose her to demonstrate the hardships of Greece. Many people there are really, truly struggling and barely eating anything at all. This lady does not look even slightly uncomfortable. Epic fail.

Mari Ansaldo the reporter made a good job showing her she is the "dark side of greek" i think people with a brain know that she is not a example for poor greek.
She is an example for a pension system handmade by political the reporter say at beginning that he is in a middle class part of athen .she get now 1000 euro pension after cuts the last five years two houses grown not on trees i think onassis had made as she leave with 42 she get the same as work or more and over the years more🇩🇪😇

Rui Tamele did you PLAY attention? Not only did I PLAY attention I PAID attention which would be the correct past tense of pay, unless you think the phrase is PLAY attention. It's not. Additionally I was not rude or insulting to anyone with the exception of the person who put that news piece together. You however did decide to be rude as a result I am pointing out what an asshat you are. Dismissed.

Because you saw these people who are rich and they made a documentary with making everyone in greece look like them, doesn't mean that we have 400m2 houses, that we retire at 40 and that we take 1000 euro pension.
If you want to become greek you will have to work 2100 hours a year (most working hours in EU, third in the world while you will be called lazy. Germans work 1350 hours a year and you take three times more more ). You will have to pay 50% of your income to taxes which you will get nothing in return because all of it goes to repay the interest of the debt while you will be called tax evader because someone else is not paying their taxes, every country has them. You will have to watch your country being destroyed, controlled by banks who don't even care for you but for the interest you will be able to pay.

Sander Van Hove. Olympic Airways was an exception. It was founded and owned by Onasis. He wanted only pretty women onboard. After 42 they had no place onboard anymore. But it was not possible to have them all working in ground jobs. The trouble is that Onasis has enough influence to make the Greek State to pay for those women pensions.
Other Greek companies had much more normal rules.

This channel doesnt even talk about money creation of the CET or the World Bank. The Journalist used a phrase ''The Germans Loaned you money'' which is completely false . European Central Bank creates money out of thin air and the loans that money to people. So the people get in debt that they can never pay.
I suggest you to go watch money creation of the Central European Bank or confessions of an Economic Hitman.

Zack Abnet but now you can look it on you tube live stream and connect the tv with your computer so many times i had touched the button and connected falsly with the tv from my neighbor im a newbe on computer and in english . Some things happened in greek are same here in germany our phamacies and bakery are half in the last 5 years we also in struggling minimum wage job the goverment cheats nicely with the numbers of unemployed and many other things like vw diesel skandal in us vw has paid ,in germany and other country in europe not till this day nobody is really arrested or vw has pay a fine, the customer of diesel cars have get a new programm on boardcomputer what in work destroy some parts of the cars and people get in high danger by driving its not all beauty in germany i think they cheat also with crime statistic we never have so much crime have bevor our police had instruction by shoplifting or other crimes no more record to make if people get known how much is it really is they would go on barricade till goverment.and thats all because madame merkel opened the boarder its helps only the rich get richer the down and middleclass gets in competition with the fugitive from syria we have also get a lot of young Palästinenser from lebanon they came with false pass as syria fugitive and they are not gently they rud and rough make crime and drug dealing . in berlin if the police catch some with small portion of drugs they dont get arrested in many.state of germany the same some young can make 50times a crime before they go to jail i started to hate my country to help war fugitive ok but not so much and no control who. we get more problems .in bavaria is different there you get arrest if you have a used dope pipe but there is time going of open door at night in the villages, rurals thats why the governor of bavaria will cut of more asyl people and its ok my opinion

The bailout was for the creditors, not for Greece. Prior to Greece joining the euro, they had one of the lowest debt to GDP levels in Europe and their pensions were not a problem. The reason countries of southern Europe got into such a debt mess, is mainly due to the design of the common currency union; without a central fiscal economy authority "Federation like the US" controlling and setting a unified euro economy policy and collecting taxes for the union and setting agreed limits of state debt, providing federal support to the states like the US federal government does and a central bank that can issue euro bond and set unified interest rates, you end up with an incomplete union that advantages the stronger economies. The stronger economies get a competitive export advantage with a devalued currency and the weaker economies products became less competitive and their terms of trade worsened over time. At the core of this euro mess, the stronger economies exported deflation to the weaker states, while the weaker economies exported inflation to the north. without a unified federal structure and euro bond, when the crisis hit, there was no federal government there to bail them out with euro treasuries, like the US government did for the state of Nevada after the GFC. A bad design that will end up tearing apart the EU and fueling European divisions and nationalism. WHAT A MESS. STOP BLAMMING THE GREEKS.
