I still use my Jackery 190 that I purchased almost 5 years ago. AC and one USB stopped working about 2 years ago. It's still kicking! I use it for phone and tablet charging. Great product.
Great review. I never have liked Jachary number one reason was their handle. I’m glad they fixed that to their 12 V car. Cigarette output was not regulated and did not work right in the early days. I’ve moved on and I am in EcoFlow kind of guy now
Yeah, I left Jackery years ago, tried Bluetti, they failed. I grudgingly bought an EcoFlow RiverFlo Pro. Loved it so much that I just recently bought a Delta 2. Not the most efficient but the recharging is a huge plus. For larger needs, I DIY'd two 5K and one 2.5K battery systems.
There’s nothing wrong with the old version. That’s like saying the iPhone 14 is trash just because there’s an iPhone 15 out now. Of course newer version will have better specs just like all electronic products
There's nothing wrong with the old version except it lagged behind severely as other products outshined it. Jackery took way too long to go to lfp among other things and milked their consumers for all they good with that old tech.
Also the old one uses 18650 cells which you can find and replace if you are handy. There is another youtube guy who does a tear down and replace a capacitor to fix one of the original 300s. (title is called "I blew up a power station") On the inside these are really well built and I'm going to take mine apart and replace the 12v lighter socket with a round panel mount Anderson Power Pole jack.
Nnnnnn...no! Jackery is outdated, cost too much for each model and what they offer and their QC is poor. I will never buy another Jackery, just like I will never buy another Bluetti. Bluetti had known problems for years that CS said they fixed but did not.
Please I need help with a station of this model, when I connect it the AC charging cable starts charging and in a few seconds the charging stops and when I connect a low consumption equipment to the outlet it also disconnects, help please
I just went through a 48 hour power outage from a horrible mid-summer storm here in Omaha, Nebraska and the old modelJackery 300 saved my butt… I’m sure the new one’s improved and if I had the choice between the two, I’d probably get it, but the old one worked well when I needed it to. My only regret was I didn’t have another one (preferably a 1000 Wh) to plug my refrigerator in and save all my food.
Omaha? I have about 300 relatives there👍! Your lucky you only had 2 days in the dark! I had 4 days, almost 5 in michigan the summer of 23. Lucky i had my jackery's and oupes Vitoman which is about 5,000 of power so i was good 👍
Looking forward to your comparison vid with the ecoflow. Thinking about getting something smaller like this and already have a River 2 Pro so I'm drawn back to Ecoflow.
Is that good enough to use a hot plat to make a cheeseburger. And could it be able to use a crock pot for four hours. Even if you had to use a solar panel.
If you truly want to use solar to recharge, you should look at the Bluetti or Ecoflow. Jackery is not up to their standards. Trust me as I own both and Jackery stays on the shelf....
FWIW, I recommend against any Jackery for at least one year. They are outdated and over priced for what they have been selling. The new models may actually be current tech and materials, but need vetting for a longer period of time. They do not deserve your money (yet) and they had no qualms selling you outdated devices for top dollar.
@@HughPecon I hope it continues to work or you. I have been keeping an eye out for Bluetti units and how they have improved. They have some of the same troubles that started with their Maxoak brand.
I use a 12v adapter for my CPAP. I first used a $40 jump pack at Harbor Freight & it would give me one night. I first seen power packs from Goal Zero to run my CPAP & that was too much for me. Then I seen Honda’s name on a Jackery 290 for $400 & I have Honda equipment that I really like but there was noway I was going to pay $400. Honda’s name was removed & I seen the 290 5yrs ago at Harbor Freight for $220 on sale. I got it for camping & power outages. Then I bought another 290 on sale from Best Buy for $220 because I have family members on CPAP’s also. 1yr ago I seen a 300 on sale from Amazon for $220 that has the fast charger. Now everyone in my family can run their CPAP’s when power goes out but I noticed the battery will tun longer when I use 12v. I did a test one night on the 290 with 110 vs 12v. I might get 2 nights with 110 but I could get 3-4 nights with 12v but I turned off some settings on the CPAP, like the humidifier & automatic start. I took the 290 camping & it blew up my 110v air bed, Charged my phone & my headlamp while running my CPAP. I could of easily do another night of this but I charged it with a foldable 120 watt solor panel. I left camp for 10hrs & was fully charged. Later I bought another foldable solar panel this time from Harbor Freight for a family member. I can even charge theses packs in the vehicle using 12v. I even bought the carrying bags for them because I didn’t want them to be in open sunlight when charging. Also to protect them if it rains. I even got alligator clamps to charge a 12v battery but you can’t jumpstart a vehicle battery with it connected. I haven’t had any issues with my Jackery’s & I charge them every 6 months but they still say fully charged. I do have two older Honda generators that can’t run the house but the bigger one will run the freezers. Did buy a Predator 85000 from Harbor Freight & it will run the house but can’t run the dryer & microwave at same time. We don’t have AC but this generator has worked good when we was out of power for about a week. Then I bought a Generlink & the city put it behind the meter for me. I haven’t used it yet & just recently I converted the generator to propane & cost me $40.
Unless I’m looking at things wrong, the need to update the specs on their website as well as their Amazon listing. I was baffled at how you were getting 150w from a 100w and 15w port. You do not need anywhere near 1,000 watts to run a fridge.
Look at the label. I'd be surprised if it needed >200 to kickstart the compressor.
What size would I need to power a TV for a tailagate. About a 50 inch tv all day.
It's these handles on these older power generators that was the issue for me. I want to cut the handle off my Anker solix 522...

Could i use this for a well pump when the power goes out? Thanks
How many amps does your well draw? That will determine how big a battery/amps you need. Volts, times Amps=Watts
A generator might be an easier fix.
Good video.
