Very interesting. I would like a video about exactly the good bad and ugly around water, and how to clean the equipment afterward. As water and heavy equipment are not friends. Thank you
I feel a flail boom mower attachment would be better for most of this as a hammer head flail will eat through just about anything and the y-blade for the finer mowing/mulching.
Your comments say it will trim tree branches. What is the max. diameter of the branches, and what happens if you run into a branch that is larger than will fit between the blades? Is the boom spring loaded to move out of the way, or will you break something on the boom?
John Evans. Tractor time with Tim has a ventrac and he uses this boom mower on his channel he shows what can happen and the brush it can and can’t cut. Real world uses.
Ventrac seems like a great mower but just too costly for an average home owner. I have a 2 acre property with a large hill that this would be great for but 35 grand for a mower is just too much. It a commercial type mower meant to be making you money every day.
I'd love to have that for my ventrac! I'm sure it's not cheap, nothing for a ventrac is cheap! I wonder if I can get a 30 year loan for that mower? Lol
It's cool, but dang 20k for that? I use a $650 handheld STHIL tool for same thing...if that pond bank had about 3-5 feet of 1-3 foot high growth, it would take up to 5-6 hours to cut it all. If it is less overgrown and spotty, probably 1 hour. Main appeal of a tool like this would be to be able to quickly cut it periodically so it's always maintained instead of 1-2 times per year.
I only wish I could be so lucky too find a pond/creek with no hidden hazards like that one.
I truly love to build the MA 900 boom mower I have been building them for 3 years and they truly are a great product. Thank you for spotlighting it.

What a cool piece of equipment!
The boom mower has been a very successful attachment for us! Interested in one?

@@montymatth2409 thanks! I had the same questions
@@Columbus1492 you’re welcome!
I would have a lot of uses for one of these for all the trails I cut. Hope I get a chance to try one but there are no demo units around me.

Boy could really use that to mow my ditch

Here in ireland or britain that be done with either a mcconnell or spear head flail on a compact tractor

I'm surprised that you are using a bar mower?? I would be using a 'mulcher'. (if they make that attachment)?
