- For our third episode of "The Rayner Archives", we are taken back in time to late Spring 2006 along the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad for this one of a kind pacing video of #734 that was filmed before the completion of the Great Allegheny Passage.

It feels better watching this at 1.25x-2x speed. Wish the WMSR would actually run 1309 and 734 at those track speeds
A few of us can second your comment on operating at a higher track speed, but as your aware, money and manpower are always a issue.
Very cool racing the locomotive. Was this done with an e-bike? I can't wait until 734 is back in service. Wheel slip around 10:21.
No, this was recorded in the bed of a pick-up truck about a year before the trail was completed to Cumberland.
@@APSL2018 wow that’s interesting that this was the last year to film on the secondary road bed before it became a trail I did not know that the trail was actually completed in 2007 very cool
Before the GAP Trail, the Railroad really was a photographers dream.
