Under the hood is the optional 1.3L turbocharged inline-3 that is producing 155HP & mated to a CVT transmission. If you option AWD you get a 9-speed automatic. On the outside the Trailblazer RS has some aggressive styling with unique front fascia, and 18in wheels. On the inside you will find special interior appointments that come with the RS package and lots of safety tech. Is the 2021 Chevrolet Trail a subcompact SUV BOOM or BUST?

    Bought this for my wife. Out of all the cars we looked at, this had the best value, warranties, and customer service was 10x better. Gets compliments all the time. She didn’t want a “mom” mobile so this was perfect balance of a SUV, fuel economy and sporty.

You can even build your own, just go online to your nearest dealer and put what ever you want into your Trailblazer. I built one last night and I love it.

    I like the looks but keep in mind, these have a timing belt and oil pump belt, much like the Ford 1.0 motors. Make sure you keep a powertrain extended warranty on these motors If you plan to keep one of these long term. These can and do break if you don't change your oil timely or use the incorrect oil. Belts are rated for 150k miles same as Ford but can be quite expensive for these to change out. Much harder than older timing belts.

      Because people are buying crossovers in every size and price point. Sedans are dead, unfortunately. To me it’s a nice competitor to others like a Seltos, Kona, CX30, and Compass. Not the smallest suv in the lineup, but not as large as the “compact” like the equinox, Sportage, CX5 etc.

    Joe, love your reviews, watch almost all of they even if I have no interest at all in that particular car. Maybe you can answer a question for me but you seem as perplexed as I am about this. Why would any car being produced today not have a flat bottom steering wheel? Is it a patent issue or something like that? I thought the first time I saw a flat bottom steering wheel there would never be another round steering wheel ever produced. They give so much ease to entry and exit of a vehicle!

  • @Hennessy198
    @Hennessy198 4 роки тому +7

    This thing was very strangely optioned. I know that GM Korea originally designed this to have dual-zone climate control and ventilated seats, both of which were cut for the NA release. Also, their base RS is completely loaded at $27k while this version basically locked away half of the stuff behind a wall of extra options, driving up the price to nearly $33k to completely spec it out. This might just be some shady thing Chevy did to boost profits in the US market.
    Also, about the back. That lip you were talking about was so shallow because you had the cargo floor raised. If you put it down to the lower position, there's a pretty sizable lip back there.

    Well I just watched this video after the fact of buying one last week. Although my RS came with AWD and the 9 speed transmission, which I think is a must instead of the CV transmission. Also he failed to show you how you can lower the back deck to another 2" lower so that your soup cans don't roll out when you open your hatch. This car was for my wife so the 1.3LT Turbo is good enough for her, not like she's gonna run it at the local dragway. So only been a week but we are both satisfied with this new Chevy Trailblazer and at the time of this writing as he mentioned he didn't know if it would be a hit with GM but it is, the RS only has a 29 day turnaround on the dealers lot. Chevy did hit this Trailblazer on the nail.

    I love Joe's reviews, very fun and entertaining and he covers every detail. Reviewers get to drive so many different vehicles I am sure it is hard to find positives in a sub $30K vehicle versus a $80K vehicle. I recently bought a 2023 Trailblazer RS FWD ( in the south you would have to order AWD). The CVT gets a lot of scorn and ridicule in the reviewer community, and in a lot of cases it is earned. When did the test drive I was surprised at the peppiness of the little 3 cylinder engine. Technology these days allows them to get the most out of a small engine. The CVT on the Trailblazer does not give you fake shifts that actually will tend to slow the momentum on others I have driven. You get on the freeway to merge and you punch it and you just go, there is no drama with a downshift and you don't feel it, but you lookthn down and suddenly you are doing 80. Same with passing, you are going 75 and you pass and next thing you know you are 90 mph. No drama means not as much fun and not exciting. Entry level performance cars are going to run you about $5K more, so if you are wanting performance and then spend the extra. For what it is, I found it to be a good value. If you are looking for a pleasant driving experience, good gas mileage and some utility and like the styling of the TB then I think it is a good value.

      I totally concur; We bought a 23 LS with FWD, & the 1.2 engine with the CVT trans. & it truly is the best bang for the $$.$$$ . & this was after test driving a LT with the 1.3, 9 speed auto. trans. & AWD Other than the price there was no noticeable difference in ride or performance. The only option we got on the LS was cruise control.
