THANK YOU! My NEW refrigerator fit's, the problem is I can not open the left door completely. Because the door rubs against the wall and can't be opened all of the way. I need an INCH! This video gives me HOPE :)
Hi, great suggestion but in my case i have cabknets in both sides and cannot shave it as it is finished witb lacquer! Two big slabs as cabinets sticknout. What to d?
Is there any reason why this couldn't be done with a manual plane, if you're confident in using it? I suspect it would take aaaages though! You're tempting me to buy new gadgets!
Hi my partner is saying that we're her fridge freezer is coming to 23in and what if the new one is 40in, is there a way to make it fit, without doing a botched job
Use a smaller setting than what you're removing. I'm about to remove 3/16 of a cabinet to slide in a new oven. Like the video said, multiple short passes. You can always take more off, but it's impossible to put a little extra back on. ;)
We need to do this, but the actual; countertops need to be sanded down too... will this machine work to sand down the sides of our countertops? they are made out of some cheap plastic like material.
This will destroy plastic. How much more space do you need? If it's only a little bit, a sander will work, you just have to make sure you don't get too aggressive with it otherwise it could melt the plastic.
I suppose you could try a hand grinder fitted with a 40 grit flap disc, but it would create a lot of dust. The planer seems the way to go. Nicely done.
Would this work on a wall? Im not sure if it's the door frame or the wall, but my new fridge wont fit thru, just need half an inch more of space to go thru into the kitchen! Any ideas would help!!
Oscillating multi-tool works great too. Just used one to cut an extra 1/4" off the bottom ledge of my cupboards for my new fridge.
I know this is an old post but what oscillating multi-tool blade did you use to cut the bottom of your cabinet? Thanks in advance
My husband and I look and buy tools all the time. This is new to me and I need my cabinet trim cut for my new refrigerator...Nice of you to share!!!
Thank you very much
I'm having this exact problem. Thank you so much
Can use the planer for the side panel. To take off 1/8 or 1/4”
EXACTLY what the Dr prescribed! Thank you!!! Appreciate your time good sir

Glad it helped
Hi! thanks for the vid I have the same problem as was wondering if its safe to do this to the countertops? thanks
That shark and crunching sound cracked me up.
Me Too‼️😂😂
Haha. Just had to do the same at a rental property I just moved into. Pretty sure my deposit is gone but what choice do I have
What a gentleman
How much did you trim off in total?
I actually have a power planer, but mine doesn't fit on top, the hinges don't let the cabinet doors open
The SHARK!!!!😂
Thanks
Did you plane the side of the counter top too? Or does something different need to be done for that?
Would like to know that too. Got a great deal on Black Friday and I need a 1/2 inch.
But how do you plane the bottom couple of inches? Sideways?
Immediately was wondering the samething
Also if you're looking to buy a new fridge, stay away from 1.Samsung and 2. Any of these new style french doors with the ice maker in the fridge
Too late for me.
@Gaming, what do you mean "ice maker in the fridge"? Thank you!
Why?
Thank you. Very helpful.
This helped so much. Thank you 🙏🏽
Will this tool work on a wall. My French door on the left hits the wall and doesn’t open all the way.
I think I'd go with my belt sander rather than buy another tool...
Could be more messy, but I believe it would get the job done
Tried a belt sander because I had one , but it was very long and tedious and not so neat. This tool does a cleaner job more quickly.
Ya I'm getting this tool, makes a cleaner finish they're pretty cheap
Can this be use wit a marble countertop
Only for the wood cabinet. It is possible to shave marble, or grind it down but it is too much for a homeowner to do on their own.
I just need to drink it a bit because my fridge doesn’t wanna go in only goes in half way
Life saver!!
Doesn’t the planer have a dust bag attachment
It may have but I bought this one used and didn't get that

Looks like we will see a review of the Hoover ground command shop vac next. Use a rug vacuum to pick up wood. 😪
When you are in the land of mother in laws you have to use the tools at hand. No Festools on this job.

Ok, but what about of the frig is too deep? How can we create more depth? Or is it even possible?
Only trick I know for that one is if you have a baseboard at the bottopm, to remove it and that can gain you 1/2 to 3/4"
Will this work on laminate countertops????
That is my exact problem.
PLEASE TELL ME WHAT THIS TOOL IS CALLED
Makita power planer
no heating problems? You don't seem to have much clearance above the top.
Can’t do this with quartz or granite countertops unfortunately.
“He loves his mamma!” (In law) 🤣
Big time brownie points there Cymbal! 👍🏼
He he he, more like SCARED of her! 😬
good thing all appliances are owned by the same 3 companies now and are all the same
Planning on getting one of theses because of the video? If I do, what setting should I start at?

Mine was already complaining about the shavings, she would haver thrown me out with that much dust! 😉
Fucken knew I had to do this shit lol 😵😅😂
Will it cut Quartz ?
No sorry

What was your solution? I am having the same problem with my fridge.
@@JumpddwithusNeed to remove the doors. Thats how the pros did it with my install.
My home is a rental so this won’t work :(
My planer starts running into staples and sparking...
We use a multi tool
This will probably overheat your fridge...
Should measure the correct size and buy one can fit there rather than trimming the cabinet
To bad I can't do this in my apartment
