I just got to 2nd phase of this fight for the first time and it genuinely had me laughing my ass off.
I thought the 1st phase was actually pretty decent, but his 2nd phase looks like it was designed by someone who was told 'lmao just make it hard' and came up with this pile of shite

Yeah fuck phase 2 lol. I just whipped out a blood infused antspur rapier and holy infused black knight shield (100 holy resist btw) and just poked him to death xD
1st phase is fine but then damn 2nd phase I can't see anything half the time. I've seen that Ongbal fella do it with no scad tree upgrades, no level ups, and without getting hit and I'm like this man is not human bro he is ridiculous. GGs btw

Really didn't like this fight at all tried learning the whole moveset but ofcourse he has bullshit the quick 1/2 swing same as messmer had with the triple spear move and lightning phase just no what where they thinking and he can do that stupid 1/2 swing there too so you will take damage no matter what yeah really dont know what fromsoft was smoking with this
I love how people talk about how much variety there is Elden Ring, about changing your build, strategy, XYZ. But ultimately the answer to every problem is powerstance big weapons jumping attack. Or in my case, Blaspemous Blade. This fight was extremely overtuned and just not enjoyable. I hope you didn't spend 10 hours on it before you decided to pull out this forbidden technique here like I did.
Why are you constantly taking extra damage when you're not being hit? Does the boss just automatically do extra DPS, because that feels a bit unfair.
He is using a flask that enhances your damage in exchange of hp per second taken

Fromsoft have lost the plot at this point.
I think the bad part is that they never invite the player to what is going on in the background, in my own taste this writing is not necessarily bad, they need to make a book to address a lot of context that we never get even from piecing together the lore.

Overtuned is a just a buzzword to justify why you dont like something without having to think of actual reasons. Does this word actually mean anything or is it just something you hear people say, and think is an easy way to dismiss a boss fight that people put a ton of time and effort into creating? At least if youre going to critique something, do the bare minimum and use your own words, maybe even try to be constructive if you think it could be improved. People probably spent months fine tuning these bosses and you just take two seconds to parrot "overtuned".

Your run from like 2013 to 2020 was fantastic. Still wishing you the best cuz you’re a good dude but it is sad to see a channel I’ve followed since 2011 basically lose its love for modern games and become so cynical and nitpicky.
Side note: I haven’t actually gotten to this boss myself so it’s entirely possible it IS overtuned to an obnoxious degree. My comment was more so a reflection of recent stuff from the channel, not necessarily this specific video.

I never even said the fight was easy (in fact I quite literally said I haven’t fought him yet and that my comment wasn’t directed at this specific video).
I was your 51st subscriber by the way. All the way back during your first Dead Space 2 run. I was just expressing disappointment with how negative much of your content has become lately. You never seem to enjoy anything anymore.

@@hitdoctor24I agree with you about him and his channel. I don't agree with you when you mention those games being universally acclaimed; that would mean every person had nothing but adoration and praise for those games, and that's not true.
I've been with him since before he had four thousand subscribers. He even featured me on a video, promoting my channel in essence, and I'm sure he would love to purge my inclusion in that video as fast as he will want to purge me and this comment from his channel. Maybe he'll block me or ban me, but I don't care at this point. I like his videos. I've always liked his videos. But he's the kind of person I would not like to associate with in life. And you're right: he's become increasingly cynical over the years, increasingly combative to viewers, and is quick to lash out at people who he perhaps believes are ignorant or intellectually inferior to him.
It's a sad case through and through. I don't wish him the best at all, myself. But I do treat my subscribers with respect and wish each person well who takes the time to comment. If they're disrespectful, that's another matter. But your comment wasn't disrespectful. I have no idea what might be wrong with him. He may be depressed, or disillusioned about life, or what, I don't know. And I don't want to know. I'll always watch his videos because I like his videos. I do not like him, though.

@@BickBenedict1 you’re right, I should have said “widely acclaimed” instead. That was hardly the part that caused him to lash out at me though. I’ve had so many pleasant interactions with him over the years so this one was admittedly pretty surprising for me but it is what it is.
I haven’t actively followed along for several years now outside of a couple projects here and there, but after a reply like that to literally one of the first people who helped get his channel off the ground with our consistent support, I have no reason to stick around at all.
It’s just a shame because I’ve probably listened to hundreds and hundreds of hours worth of his content. Even for games I don’t care about, because his commentary has always entertained me. But I’d be an idiot to continue supporting someone who treats their subs like that.
You say overtuned, I say a true godlike challenge (Besides that 1/2 quick slash which is near undodgeable unless you're standing in the perfect position beforehand)
