    From the left:
#1 is Adam Rupp their beatboxer from another planet, he's beyond amazing. He can also sing tenor.
#2 is Adam Chance, he sings baritone/bass, he has such a silky smooth voice.
#3 is Tim Foust their bass, but he has a 5 octave range so he can sing below earth level all the way up into the atmosphere.
#4 is Rob Lundquist their lead tenor, he has such a beautiful voice, & he can sing opera too, it's crazy.
#5 is Austin Brown their high tenor, he sings way up in the rafters & beyond.
Together they are a phenomenal band, & they have the most loyal fans you'll ever meet, we're called Home Fries, a name used by one of the judges from season 4 of The Sing Off. They were the winners in 2013 & haven't looked back. 🍟❤️

The best acapella group in my opinion. Glad you found Home Free, I've been with you for Tom but this gives another rabbit hole you can really enjoy. The center is Tim Foust - the mega bass singer! Please do The Butts Medley (Official video). #HomeFries #HOG

Incredible acappela group! You can listen to their "How Great Thou Art" and "Brothers in Arms" for some more great 5 part harmonies. But then you can be amazed all over again by Adam Rupp's unbelievable "beat boxing" skills displayed in most of their other songs. Beat boxing doesn't really describe what he brings to this group. Please listen to some more of their songs..

Home Free is the best a capella group out there with a deep bass singer that can also sing high tenor ( 5 octave range) a bass baritone with a 4 octave range the lead tenor that can sing everything from country, soul and opera a high tenor that can sing a A4 flat and a beet boxer a twice beet box champion. This is a great rabbit hole to dive into. Great reaction

Fans of Home Free are called home fries ------> 🍟 I hope you check out more, but you really should watch their videos. Their videos add to the gorgeous vocals. You have just been introduced to the best a cappella group out there. These guys are all so talented. They lean towards country but they can do any genre. They all can take the lead depending on whos voice is best for the song. They are known for their tight harmonies. Tim Foust is one of the best bass singers out there & their beatboxer vocal percussionist Adam Rupp can simulate any sound. Check out "Man Of Constant Sorrow".

OH MY! Welcome to maybe the coolest rabbit hole you'll ever find. Starting with PTX - Sounds of Silence And Prayer (if you haven't heard the original with Celiine Dionne and Andrea Bocelli listen to it first) then there is Home Free - Given the age recommend these - End of The Road, How Great Thou Art, When a Man Loves a Woman and xmas song Do YOu Hear What I Hear all great. Have fun. Both of these groups are unbelievable in terms of creativity, talent and personality.

One thought for, at least the shorter reactions, could be to do audio only followed by the video. Some of the videos are funny/poignant or take the song meaning in an unexpected direction.
As others have said, this is my favorite vocal band. I don't think you can go wrong with any of their songs.
A few of my favorites -

    In The Blood
    Hillbilly Bone

    Tenor/Baritone
    Dreamer
    Country Roads
    Some Girls Do

Too many others that are equally great

While this HF video is simple enough to not distract you, there are some of theirs that DO distract you. But you COULD provide the video for your audience and just close your eyes to listen.
HF is an a capella group - no instruments in general - just a few songs, and the instruments are very obvious. Fantastic harmonies every time. You might try their How Great Thou Art, Go Rest High (the Church Sessions, not the official HF video - it is truly distracting, and closing your eyes won't fix it), and Helplessly Hoping for a start. But an of their songs have fantastic harmonies.

The first guy singing was the bass Tim Foust the one in the middle the second guy was lead tenor Austin Brown far right the third guy the one between Tim and Austin is Rob Lundquist the other tenor and is considered the best singer in the group the last one singing is Adam Chance 2nd from the left the first on the left is Adam Rupp who has been with the group the longest and also a great singer. You can't go wrong with this group.

  • @wirelessmikedj7784
    @wirelessmikedj7784 Рік тому +5

actually the middle person is the bass, Tim Foust, with a 5 octave range, the one to left of him is Adam Chance (goes by chance) is a barritone and bass...he covers bass when Tim takes lead. The one to the far left is Adam Rupp the beatboxer that sings tenor as well and on the far right you have Austin Brown, the high tenor and next to him Rob Lundquist who is a lyrical tenor. You hear all of them in this song except Adam Rupp who doesn't like to take the lead (you can hear him on "How Great Thou Art") but you really hear him shine as a beat boxer. No instruments in this one, all voice. They do have a couple where to have instruments with them...but mostly all voice.

  • @bruceherb8402
    @bruceherb8402 Рік тому +3

Probably somewhere in the comments already, but left to right is Adam Rupp, beatboxer extraordinaire and some vocals, Adam Chance (usually referred to as Chance) baritone to bass range, Tim Foust, basso profundo (super deep bass) to tenor range, Rob Lundquist, tenor, and finally Austin Brown, tenor with maybe a slightly higher range than Rob.
Tim has a voice that goes so low it can sound more like a rumble than an actual note (he's actually broken sound systems at concerts before) and then turn around and sing in a beautiful tenor range. It's almost unbelievable.

This is an Acappela group, no instruments. The picture you put up from left to right are Adam Rupp the beatboxer, Adam Chance the baritone ( he goes by Chance). Then Tim Foust the bass in the middle, Rob Lundquist lead tenor ( beard and glasses) and last but not least is Austin Brown sky high tenor ( shoulder length hair). They are an amazing group you should check out more of their work.

Good reaction! Your face said it all! One of Home Free's many talents is that they enunciate the words clearly. (There's songs that I never could understand the words, until HF.) Many of their videos are simple enough to watch without getting wrapped up in the video and not the song, and I'd recommend watching the videos and learning each singer's vocal role. (Highly recommended you learn the vocal roles before listening to Mayday; you'll appreciate their version of the song more.) Some songs wirh simple videos: How Great Thou Art, Man Of Constant Sorrow, Folsom Prison Blues, Sea Shanty Medley, Helplessly Hoping, Brothers In Arms. Brother is, for me, one that you have watching the video and hear the song separately. (But so worthy it!) HF is a deep rabbit hole 🕳 full of great covers and original songs.

I do know this group and no instruments, just all vocals. This group is known for their impressive harmonies. If you did watch the video you could see the bass guy. I agree some videos are distracting visually, but many of Home Free's are fairly simple and this one just has the guys singing in a room. Check out "Helplessly Hoping" You can watch that one it just has them singing in a dark room and you can hear all of their tones, no distractions.

  • @GaiaOne
    @GaiaOne Рік тому +2

And...another one falls down the rabbit hole. You are so fucking doomed. We'll save you a chair.
You're about to be buried in Home Fries.
Home Free is the only country a capella group out there, but they can - and do - sing every genre. And they have no lead singer. Every one of these men can take the lead, and they pick the lead for each song by who does it the most justice. During quarantine, they kept all us Home Fries sane by dropping new videos every couple of weeks. God bless ‘em.
All the men can beat box, but Adam is in a league of his own. He's a world-class vocal percussionist and there're good reasons he's called a "Freak of Nature" and “the man who swallowed a drum kit.” For more of Adam's incredible beat boxing, check out Sea Shanty medley (the man makes castanets, for Pete's sake), his no-monica solo on Working For A Living and Ain't Going Down Til The Sun Comes Up (that video is on Facebook), and his drum solos.
For more of Tim's seismic basso profundo, listen to Brothers In Arms, Misty Mountains (his collaboration with Peter Hollens), Folsom Prison Blues, or Ring Of Fire (the Sing Off version).
For Chance's smooth baritone, check out Down to the Honky Tonk, Brothers In Arms, and Folsom Prison Blues. (Awesome.. basso profundo and a baritone/bass in the same group.) FYI, Chance is singing (throat singing) the jaw harp sounds - without the jaw harp - in Man Of Constant Sorrow.
For Rob's soulful tenor, check out End of the Road, Blue Ain't Your Color, or Bless The Broken Road. (Blue-eyed soul is in good hands with The Beard.)
For Austin's soaring power tenor, check out Crazy, Moonshine, When A Man Loves a Woman, or Bring Him Home. (But bolt down your chair ‘cause he'll sing you right out of it.)
For their humor, check out Butts Remix, Working For A Living, Between A Rock And A Heartache, Make You Feel My Love, Brother, and Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget.
For their amazing arrangement skills, check out Do You Hear What I Hear. (Adam's arrangement. Nothing else like it.)
For their tight harmonies, check out Helplessly Hoping, How Great Thou Art, Brothers In Arms, or Auld Lang Syne.
For their mashups, check out Thinking Out Loud/Let's Get It On, Fishing in the Dark/Boondocks, Country Fried Pop, or Woman, Amen/Female.
The Home Free men are masters of collaborations. They put the spotlight on their collaborator, supporting them with wonderful vocals and amazing harmonies. Check out God Bless the USA with Lee Greenwood, American Pie with Don McLean, Elvira with The Oak Ridge Boys, Children Go Where I Send Thee with the late Kenny Rogers, Don’t Laugh At Me with Mark Wills, Christmas In Dixie with Alabama, or Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For with Peter Hollens.
Get at least five videos under your belt and then listen to Mayday - the official video. After Mayday, you'll be ready for Tim and Austin doing My Maria or Tim's mashup of Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow/Stay.
Then, when you come up for air, check out Rob and Austin singing Nessun Dorma. You'll need smelling salts after that one.
Don't miss their official videos. The Home Free men will often do a straight, gorgeous vocal performance, but they'll add elements of humor to the video that will leave you chuckling or even laughing out loud. (Folsom Prison Blues, Between A Rock And A Heartache, Make You Feel My Love, Working For A Living, Brother).
And God help you when you get hit with the Home Free Curse. They’ll do a song you absolutely cannot stand and make you like it against your will. I’ve been hit by the curse four times now, and I’m not alone.
Their synergy is phenomenal. Each is an artist in his own right, but man - when they sing together, magic happens. Wicked talent polished by decades of hard work. (Unchained Melody, Castle On The Hill, Seven Bridges Road) To paraphrase another Home Fry, “They don't just own a cover, they upgrade it.”
You are doomed, Home Fry. Bring ketchup.

Home Freeeeeeeeeee!! I've watched, listened to, shared, watched, listened to, shared, and so on and so on.. ALL their songs. They are my fav group in all genres with or without instruments. The members are hilarious and incredibly talented. Because you have so many songs to get to, maybe once a week you could do a Home Free vid/song? You are on your way to becoming a Home Fry like the rest of us Fries... lol. Great reaction!

Take a deep breath and jump headfirst into the rabbit hole that is Home Free! Their talents include vocal ranges from the depths of the Grand Canyon to the heights of Pike's Peak. They cover most genres of music, and they can make you laugh yourself silly or cry your eyes out. There is no better acapella group out there than Home Free! Five very real, very handsome gentlemen. Welcome and enjoy!

Welcome to Home Free ! This is the best acapella out there. They do use instruments sometimes but it's rare. Recommendations from their playlist.... Brothers in Arms, a cover of the Dire Straits iconic song, Understand a 2023 original, Sea Shanty Medley, and The Driver, a cover of a great James Kelly 2016 song.

  • @sueby1962

New subscriber and great reaction, too! I love it when people discover Home Free. Their voices are a religious experience but speaking one woman to another...you need to WATCH them. 😉😁They are a freakishly talented group of fellas! They can make you laugh sometimes, they can make you cry sometimes but they always impress. Here's a cheat sheet on the group: Adam Rupp, co-founder of HF and the awesome beatboxer. Tim Foust, bass. He has a five-octave range. Robb Lundquist (glasses and beard) Tenor Harmony. Austin Brown, Lead Tenor. Adam Chance, Baritone ( goes by Chance). Chance replaced Chris Rupp (co-founder) who left in 2016. Take Me Home Country Roads is phenomenal but you might also want to check out Dreamer, When A Man Loves A Woman, End Of The Road, One Man Band, I Swear, Blue Ain't Your Color, Dive Bar Saints and Folsom Prison Blues. For some funny ones: Butts Medley, All About That Bass, Champagne Taste, Hillbilly Bone. For some serious ones: How Great Thou Art, Go Rest High On That Mountain. When you are familiar with all the boys and their vocal roles, do Mayday. And last but not least, Brothers In Arms. It is haunting and beautiful. They have recently released several new songs that you will want to check out. Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole!

After reading through several comments, I will make a "bold' statement (which is my opinion). Among the truly outstanding a cappella groups, there is no objective "best." There is only, "I like THIS group the most," which purely subjective. I personally say there are FOUR "best" a cappella groups (Home Free, Pentatonix, Voice Play, and Voctave). The one I personally think is best is the one I'm listening to at the moment.

You are correct. There are no instruments used in this song. The exception that comes to mind is their cover of "The Devil Went Down To Georgia" featuring Charlie Daniels. You just can't cover that song without a fiddle.
In addition to that one, they've covered several songs with the original legends: "Elvira" with The Oakridge Boys, "God Bless the USA" with Lee Greenwood, "American Pie" with Don McLean, "Christmas In Dixie" with Alabama. And it's my understanding (though I could be mistaken) that most of those legends actually approached Home Free about the collaborations.
If you want to listen to the music, without the distraction of the video, I would recommend going through them twice. Because Home Free has a lot of fun with their videos, and they're well worth seeing.

Oh, were doing the a Capela run, got it. Lets add Voice play, "oogie boogie song". Voctave, "Disney princess Melody". Then come back and catch some Geoff Casilli "Misty mountains"
From there it's a free for all, but that's the top 5 bands/performers.

Nicely done Ma’am! It’s interesting that you commented on having around 200 reaction requests, well, Home Free has over 200 “cover songs” in their repertoire. Good luck! There is not a single one that is not an amazing song! This is a complete rabbit hole with almost no end in sight. Their latest songs have predominantly been originals and are equally amazing! Their fans call themselves “Home Fries”. Again, good luck!

As you continue your dig into a cappella, you hear so many amazing performances! You should consider listening to the Pentatonix version of this. True story... I heard the PTX version the first time while driving (it was on a 'surprise' playlist a good friend sent me). I actually had to pull off the road and put the car in park so I could hear it again without distraction. Weeks later I heard Home Free's version. I thought I found another absolutely beautiful version of this timeless classic. In both cases, there are vocal 'notes' only... no beat boxing or vocal percussion. Even if you don't react to the PTX version, you should listen to it! Nice reaction!!

Just watch the video. What you see in the picture is what the video shows. The video will tell you who’s singing what. The bass is right in the middle #3. But instead of me explaining, just watch the video. Home Free is all a cappella so no instruments. They are known for their great harmonies. One of my favorites of theirs. Try Helplessly Hoping, How Great Thou Art, One Man Band. Good reaction.

This is the best country style acapella group on the planet.
The bluegrass staple, Man of Constant Sorrow is what really put them on the map and shows why they don't need accompanying instruments. And I love Alison Krauss and union Station (aka soggy bottom boys) as the best blue grass band of all time.
They do some wicked Johnny Cash songs.... and even Patsy Cline Crazy
