The first singer was Tim Foust ( bass 5+ octave range Second was Austin Brown ( High Tenor ) Third was Rob Lundquist ( Tenor ) Forth was Adam Chance aka Chance ( Baritone/ Bass ) Fifth was Adam Rupp ( Beatboxer) Has a beautiful tenor voice but prefers Beatboxing and harmonizing Happy New Years 🍾🥂
I also love this version. It's one of my favorites. I think you would also like their version of "Helplessly Hoping." Perfect, Simple Harmony. Amazing Unison - it's like they're reading each other's minds.
Enjoyed the 2 of you checking this out together! Enjoyed seeing both of your reactions to each singer. I love their version and Adam Chance, the last soloist, reminds me of a fine whiskey. A little air, a little rasp, and a beautiful tone. Adam Rupp also singing in this one and is another tenor even though he has good range also. To hear Chance more check out I can’t out run you! Enjoyed it ladies, thanks! Low bass Kenneth.
You really NEED to listen to Home Free's version of HELPLESSLY HOPING where it's somewhat staged like this song....just them and the sound system and no beatboxing.
Chance's voice is like silk. I Can't Outrun You is another 5 part harmony song where Chance shines bright! Great reaction. Auld Lang Syne is probably my favorite Home Free song. New Subscriber!❤
Chance's voice made this cover, but a lot of people wouldn't believe it. He sings low enough to sing bass while Tim is singing lead... and adds a second bass note (normally a 5th), while Tim sings the low root note... making the harmony VERY thick.
I Can’t Outrun You is pure vocal perfection and an amazing story told in song, plus the video concept/direction were by Chance and I guarantee you will love his artistry. This was his baby all the way and it’s definitely in my Top 5 #HomeFree songs. It’s a MUST.
Glad to see that you both enjoyed and appreciated our guys from home free. I got turned on to them over five years ago and have never been disappointed with anything they have done as a group or anything they have done in solo work or collaborations with others. There is nothing they can't do. I would check out the sing off season 4, all the judges were absolutely in awe of them. Check out their cover of End of the Road by boys to men, colab with Oak Ridge Boys on Elvira, colab with Kenny Rogers on Children go where I send thee, colab with Don McLean on the 50th anniversary release of American pie, colab with Lee Greenwood on God Bless the USA, or Alabama doing Christmas in Dixie, just to name a few. They have more videos than any artist I've ever seen and every one is top notch. Keep those reviews coming. Happy new year.🎉
Great reaction!!! Glad to see you brought someone in that hasn't heard of them. I subscribed for the Home Free reaction. Keep them coming. Hope you have a Happy New Year!!!!
Love this! Everyone got to shine. The only one who didn’t sing a solo was Adam (the blond on the far left). He’s the beatboxer and rarely sings alone. If you want to hear his voice listen to How Great Thou Art. He has a small solo in it. If you want to hear more Chance try I Can’t Outrun You, Yours, Some Girls Do, Cover Me Up, Helplessly Hoping. He also sings collaborations with the Hound + Fox with Wayfaring Stranger and Hurt. Good one! Have a wonderful New Year! 😍
Amaze your friend by telling her that the bass, Tim Foust, has a 5 octave range (guaranteed). The non-soloist (Adam Rupp) is the beat boxer of the group (and co-founder) who rarely sings other than in group harmony (even though he is a pretty decent tenor).
Please enjoy this Tim Foust classic "Misty Mountains" (ua-cam.com/video/yb2HR47npEU/v-deo.htmlsi=nDZdfXb9M8-L8XXr). There are deep voices and then there is Tim Foust.
7:37 That is Adam Chance and he was actually new to the group when they did this, I think he'd been with them for a year or less but I could be wrong (and I'm sure someone will correct me). He goes by Chance so as not to confuse people since the beatboxer's name is _also_ Adam. These guys take turns in the spotlight, I heard that when they do a new song, they basically 'audition' for the lead with the rest of the group. A few songs where he takes or shares the lead are 'Some Girls Do', 'Think A Little Less' and their original song, 'Snow Globe.' Another great one for getting to know them is Don Mclean's 50th Anniversary Re-release of 'American Pie' along side Home Free. He gave each non-beatboxing member their own verse. (while Adam Rupp beatboxed non-stop for the entire song. I hear he nearly passed out)
The one who didn't do a solo is Adam Rupp their beatboxer aka "freak of nature." He has a beautiful background tenor and rarely sings alone. His beatboxing, however, is certifiably the best in the world. With a vocal range approaching six octaves (some of the notes he hits are more effects than words) he's truly remarkable (back that up and listen again) along with the rest of them. Happy New Year
: ) These guys hmph --- Show-offs! Good ain't it!!! And this in ONLY yer 3rd... imagine that! Wishing you(s) all the best 2024 has to offer ... and beyond! Happy New Year! Be Safe
This comment is before you start the song. I've heard this many times. It is absolutely beautiful. Pentatonix does an equally beautiful version. The first time I heard PTX's version it was on my car playlist (I didn't even know it was there). When it played, I actually SHOUTED at my radio. I pulled over, out of traffic, and listened again. Home Free's version is equally as jaw-dropping. That's how good these two groups are with this amazing classic! I LOVE that you are setting up your friend to have her mind blown!! I can't WAIT!! Okay... now for your reaction.... Okay, you have a tear forming in my eye. No fair. 🥲 Great reactions from both of you! The one who didn't solo is Adam (on the far left). He CAN sing quite well, but he usually does the vocal percussion/beatboxing. Every time I hear this, either through reactions or the official version, it brings a tear. Same with the Pentatonix version. Thanks for this! p.s. Just in this one reaction, I can sense why you two are good friends. Your strong warmth and affection is very apparent! Happy New Year!
The one who didn't sing is Adam Rupp and he can sing but is mainly the beatboxer. If you would like to hear him sing he does a short solo in their version of " How great Thou art". He has a beautiful honey sweet tenor voice.
The 5th singer was Adam Rupp, the amazing beatboxer. He rarely sings, and even more rarely solo, but he has a lovely tenor voice. He prefers to shine as a drum kit or a dj. But the 5-part harmony that results when he does sing is past master class! For more 5-part harmony, try "Helplessly Hoping" or "Stand By Me" (the last one a recent release).
Remember that the bass you hear when Tim is singing is Chance, who is an awesome bass in his own right. These guys are awsome singing talents, very highly trained musicians and musically trained songwriters as well. And they are funny as hell when they go that way!
Loved the double reaction before you go you should react to home free when a man loves a woman cover :). Trust me it’s one of the best performances I think they have done. IMO :).
Ladies, listen to these guys do "When A Man Loves A Woman". Such an incredibly different sound than this one, not even in the same world, but still them. A lot of fun with an old blues song. Oh my goodness, there's so many good ones from this group the list can go on forever. "Unchained Melody" is a must hear along with "Mayday". Your life won't be complete without them.
You heard only 4 of the 5 of them because the 5th guy (Adam) is their beatboxer and rarely sings solo because he is holding the beat of the song. He is a tenor and harmonizes with them when not beatboxing. Chance (the guy at the end) is a baritone/bass and has a smooth almost sexy kind of tone to his voice, if you'd like to hear him sing a song solo check out their version of "Yours". and/or "I Can't Outrun You."
This was a class in 5 part harmonies. If you ladies really want to be schooled, check out their cover of Brothers in Arms. That is a Master class in harmony
Cheating here as I borrowed this from someone else that did the grunt work: The group started in 2001 by brothers Chris and Adam Rupp They won The Sing Off season 4 2013 that's where they became very popular. They are the only country A Capella ( all vocals no instruments)group but they are honestly do so so much more than just country music they can sing any genre and they do. There is no Lead singer in the group. They each ( except Adam )sing the song and who’s ever voice or voices sound right for the song gets the lead unless is a bass/ baritone song then that’s Tim or Chance A lot of time they each have a part in the song. Fans of Home Free are known as Home Fries and are very loyal to the guys. Adam Rupp: Beatboxer Extraordinaire ( 41) can make any sound imaginable (A whole drum kit, harmonica (his Nomonica we call it )plane flyovers, trains, castanets, bugs ,birds etc).Co founder from Mankato Minnesota. Rob Lundquist :Lead tenor(beard and glasses) ( 40 )very soulful voice and master whistler from Minneapolis, Minnesota Tim Foust :Bass (had long dark hair now short with grey ) ( 42 ) 5+ octave range can go so low he blows speakers or sky high from Nederland, Texas Austin.Brown:High Tenor ( Long wavy hair )( 37 ) voice of an angel from Tifton Georgia. Adam Chance(Aka Chance):Baritone/Bass ( 39 ) deep, rich voice(Does the juice harp sound in Man Of Constant Sorrow) has short dark hair short beard from Baldwin County,Alabama.Replaced Chris Rupp ( Adams Brother and co founder in 2016) They have collaborated with many singers and legends Don McLean:American Pie Oak Ridge Boys:Elvira Kenny Rodgers:Children Go Where I Send Thee (Please watch the end message) Billy Gilman:One Voice Alabama:Christmas In Dixie Mark Wills:Don’t Laugh At Me ( important message at the end ) Lee Greenwood & US Airforce Band:God Bless The USA Any many more. They are just funny, down to earth, humble really nice guys. They are the best A Cappella group there is IMO Sorry for the long read
New Subscriber 😊. Tim Foust- first bass singer in the video... Has a 5 octave vocal range.... Adam Chance- Baritone singer and last lead vocal in this song, is also able to sing bass as he has a 4 octave vocal range. 😊❤ happy new year!!
that was Chance solo near the end, and to hear more of him, you can hear one of their originals with Chance as the lead - great song with those amazing harmonies - DIVE BAR SAINTS, or hear him lead in some covers - Some Girls Do (Sawyer Brown), I can't outrun you (Trace Adkins), Finally Free (Niall Horan), Happy New Year ladies !!
I love your Home Free reactions, and subscribed for MORE Home Free! Happy New Year! :) We heard four of the five singing solo, Adam Rupp, the beat boxer rarely sings solo, but he's often harmony, or beatboxing. He does sing solo in "How Great Thou Art".
I love how Home Free keeps a lot of their video environments simple--allows the focus to be on their incredible acapella vocals. Just amazing 5-part harmonies! Home Free makes every song better!! ❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️ #HomeFree #AdamRuppSinging
Enjoyed your reaction but I think you completely misinterpreted the song. It is about keeping old friendships and memories alive. The message along with the beautiful harmonies and melody are what makes it so special. Home Free does the best version I have ever heard.
This is my all time favorite version of this beautiful song! 💖 Also, if you're introducing your friend to the a capella groups, you should definitely show her O Holy Night by Pentatonix! It is AWESOME! 🤗 Also, Mary Did You Know by Voctave with the writer of the song, Mark Lowrey. And a Christmas choice by Voice Play. All of these groups are absolutely amazing. ❤️
Enjoyed the reaction!💯 I keep catching new things watching the reactors with the different places you pause. This time it seems to me that Adam Chance actually came in lower than Tim providing the base as Tim had the lead. It appeared as Adam was not singing until the harmony kicked near the end of Tim's lead verse and was a bit lower to fill out the sound spectrum. Really enjoying your reactions to Home Free. Suggest that you look fror some of their side project videos as well while you work your way through more of their music. Both Tim and Chance have worked with the Hound + Fox. Rob and Austin have a cover of Nessa Dorma that may suprise you. And Tim and Austins My Maria or Whats it to you are both just fun.
I see you've watched man of constant sorrow Along with some of their Christmas stuff. I strongly recommending watching more of their videos. It doesn't really matter which one . They never disappoint. Their live videos are a lot of fun as well.
I love your reactions to Home Free. Here are some suggestions: Brothers in Arms (great harmonies with deep bass) very emotional Helplessly Hoping (powerful harmony) Song with message - Everybody Walking This Land Fun Songs: Hillbilly Bone Life is a Highway Butt Medley Original Songs: Stargazer Trilogy (Especially the 2nd Song in the Trilogy) Romance Cover: When a Man Loves a Woman
I grew up with Guy Lombardo & his Royal Canadians playing this every New Year’s Eve after the ball dropped in NYC & it will forever be the standard in my heart. Even though Home Free often elevates a song from the original, I’ll have to stick with my 1st love on this one, lol. 🤷♀️😄
For more straight harmony, Helplessly Hoping. For more bass, Brothers in Arms; for fun, Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget and Butts Remix, both with original member Chris Rupp (co-founder along with brother/beatboxer Adam Rupp). Or anything they have done...cover or original and their collabs are great too! Thanks for y this!
They did a whole album of mainly originals that is great. It is called Dive Bar Saints, which is also one of the songs. I would highly recommend four songs: Dive Bar Saints, Catch Me If You Can, Lonely Girls World, and Love Me Like That. Also, try out their cover of I Can't Outrun You.
You haven't even gotten to the videos yet where Tim's low range is really front and center. Check out "Folsom Prison Blues", "Ring of Fire", or "Brothers in Arms". Or check out "Misty Mountains". You will hear Tim dive down in those. "When a Man Loves a Woman" is a great feature of Austin. And if you want to get a feel for Tim's amazing range, check out "My Maria" or "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow/Stay".
If you'd like to see and hear another bass singer with an incredible vocal range, you might try Geoff Castellucci's cover of Blackbird (ua-cam.com/video/KVnAQQ-HSLU/v-deo.html). He sings bass for the a cappella group Voiceplay, but has also performed several "solo" songs on UA-cam where he overdubs in order to, in effect, become his own a cappella group. Have fun. Love your reactions!
Great reaction. If you want to hear some more truly amazing harmonies by them, you could check out their covers of "Brothers in Arms," "How Great Thou Art," and "Helplessly Hoping".
From left to right; Adam Rupp, Adam Chance (known as Chance), Tim Foust, Rob Lundquist and Austin Brown. The lyrics are from a poem by Robert Burns. Best rendition of this song ever.
Dez, I have to mention that this is maybe half of Tim Foust's bass range. He can go down to a C0, and the 5th member is the beat boxer which can make up a five part harmony but his specialty is keeping the beat. I guess you will have to "react" to their music to feel your teeth rattle and your chest vibrate. There are so many more songs from them to make your jaw drop. Happy New Year ladies! (Raises cup. 🍺)
Yes, the percussionist just sang harmony so you only heard the four normal singers take leads. The last soloist, Adam Chance, normally sings baritone which, in harmonies, is always the odd notes in the chord so rarely brought to fore. You can hear him take lead in Yours and Some Girls Do and take lead sections (like this song) in Die a Happy Man and One Man Band. Now that you know Tim's bass and Chance's baritone (you might want to listen to one of his other leads first), you will find Mayday more impressive than those who watch it without first having a grounding in the individual voices.
Please more HomeFree “Brothers in Arms” is a masterpiece by them it’s their version of the Dire Straits song Then I would recommend you listen to “ Listen to the Music “ and also their original “Playing With Fire” great stuff here
The last solo singer is Adam Chance. He covers the bass when Tim is singing out front. For some more of his work check out Some Girls Do and Yours. Adam Rupp is normally the rhythm section of which there wasn't one in this piece. He has a lovely Tenor voice and signs rarely and I think you have him fronting even more rarely. Have fun going down the Home Free rabbit hole.
Great reaction, Jenna! I love seeing a new Home Fry bringing another into the fold. The last singer was Adam Chance (just Chance to differentiate him from Adam the beatboxer). He is the newest member of the group and does have a fantastic voice. He was the bass/baritone singer in his previous band.
You ladies need to check out more of Home Free. The absolute best out there. And their harmonies are the best. They are the best acapella group out there. Not sure if you did Christmas in LA yet. You've got to hear that. It is awesome.
The fifth member who didn’t have a solo is Adam Rupp, cofounder and phenomenal beatboxer. So there aren’t very many opportunities for him to solo, except when he does a drum solo while the others take a break during their concerts.
Adam Rudd is the Beat Boxer & very seldom sings solo's, but all the other 4 have had solo's in other songs. Adam chance sang most of the bass in this performance & Tim Foust, sang the deeper bass in the later part of the song.
Happy New Year, looking forward to what 2024 brings 🎉 Nice choice of song and the singers; maybe VoicePlay would have been nice as well as a double reaction being as your friend joined you 😜 Enjoyed it and hope your friend can join you some more!
The one you didn't hear with a solo is normally the beatboxer. Also, when you relisten to the first verse, note that there is still an outstanding bass line even though Tim is singing the solo. That is how versatile all of them are. To hear Chance take the lead try the Sea Shanty Melody.
The first singer was Tim Foust ( bass 5+ octave range
Second was Austin Brown ( High Tenor )
Third was Rob Lundquist ( Tenor )
Forth was Adam Chance aka Chance ( Baritone/ Bass )
Fifth was Adam Rupp ( Beatboxer)
Has a beautiful tenor voice but prefers Beatboxing and harmonizing
Happy New Years 🍾🥂
I also love this version.
Chance, the last singer, to me has a layer of tenderness in his voice that makes it exceptional.

Great reaction!!! Glad to see you brought someone in that hasn't heard of them. I subscribed for the Home Free reaction. Keep them coming. Hope you have a Happy New Year!!!!
Adam Chance the last singer is the Baritone of the group
They are just amazing. I adore every song they perform. Thank you for the Home Free reactions. Happy New Year
Great reaction. Happy New Year!
Happy New Year! And yes, I'm pretty satisfied with your Home Free journey (addiction) .............. So far. 😉
Love this! Everyone got to shine. The only one who didn’t sing a solo was Adam (the blond on the far left). He’s the beatboxer and rarely sings alone. If you get the chance while you’re there with your friend, listen to Helplessly Hoping by these guys, you won’t be disappointed.
Amaze your friend by telling her that the bass, Tim Foust, has a 5 octave range (guaranteed). The non-soloist (Adam Rupp) is the beat boxer of the group (and co-founder) who rarely sings other than in group harmony (even though he is a pretty decent tenor).
You should try listening to Misty Mountains (Peter Hollens and Tim Foust)
Tim Foust "Will you still love me tomorrow/stay" You're welcome!
Please enjoy this Tim Foust classic "Misty Mountains" (ua-cam.com/video/yb2HR47npEU/v-deo.htmlsi=nDZdfXb9M8-L8XXr). There are deep voices and then there is Tim Foust.

This is not nearly Tim's lowest and you should let your friend hear some of Adam's Beatboxing.
: ) These guys hmph --- Show-offs! Good ain't it!!! And this in ONLY yer 3rd... imagine that! Wishing you(s) all the best 2024 has to offer ... and beyond! Happy New Year! Be Safe
Right?! Can’t wait to continue and watch more! Thank you, and Happy New Year to you too! ✨🥂🤍🎉
Yeppers! You are welcome ... : ) and just a note, even caught a bit of the Twitch Stream as well! HNY's - Enjoy ... Be Safe@@KoalityReactions
Oh wow, thank you for stopping by - appreciate that! HNY!!!
You should check Tim Foust's solo "Will You Still Love Me/Stay Tim hits high high high notes along with his bass 5 1/2 octaves on this one
The one that did not solo is Adam Rupp the beat boxer. If not beatboxing he does the 5th harmony part. Only a few times has he sung solo.

you should listen to Greensleeves by Tim and Peter Hollins
Would love to see you check out two country singers try singing opera with rob and austin
The one who didn't sing is Adam Rupp and he can sing but is mainly the beatboxer. If you would like to hear him sing he does a short solo in their version of " How great Thou art". He has a beautiful honey sweet tenor voice.

The last singer Chance has a great solo section in their cover of Brothers in Arms. Their cover of Take me Home ountry Roads is phenomenal.
Great reaction.. and Happy New years
New Subscriber 😊.
How about no "beat box". I feel cheated.
Hope you had an amazing Christmas and have a very prosperous and Happy New Year! 🤍🥂 hugs n love
I love your Home Free reactions, and subscribed for MORE Home Free! Happy New Year! :)
We heard four of the five singing solo, Adam Rupp, the beat boxer rarely sings solo, but he's often harmony, or beatboxing. He does sing solo in "How Great Thou Art".
I love how Home Free keeps a lot of their video environments simple--allows the focus to be on their incredible acapella vocals. Just amazing 5-part harmonies! Home Free makes every song better!! ❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️
#HomeFree #AdamRuppSinging
Chance the last soloist was a bass singer in a previous group called StreetCorner Symphony ! A great Baritone also !!
Tim has a 5 octave range, he can go as high as he can low.
Nice song. Happy New Year
Enjoyed your reaction but I think you completely misinterpreted the song. It is about keeping old friendships and memories alive. The message along with the beautiful harmonies and melody are what makes it so special. Home Free does the best version I have ever heard.
Totally. I meant it’s more nostalgic and about reflection of the year past, which can feel melancholy but also lovely.
Such a fun reaction, you both look very pretty and glad you got her introduced to Home Free! Still waiting on the Butts remix reaction!
That’ll be a New Year thing fo sho!!! And thank you. 🤍🤍🤍🤍
Do pentatonix version please
This is my favorite rendition of this Old song ❤
This is so very beautiful! Love your reactions! Happy New Year!
This is my all time favorite version of this beautiful song! 💖
Also, if you're introducing your friend to the a capella groups, you should definitely show her O Holy Night by Pentatonix! It is AWESOME! 🤗
Also, Mary Did You Know by Voctave with the writer of the song, Mark Lowrey.
This song and video highlighted all their talents including Darren Rust their producer who recorded it in his studio.
You MUST listen to Home Free's cover of Boys to Men, "End of the Road"!!!!!!!!!!
Well, you just can't go wrong with Home Free. Enjoyed this a lot.
I love your reactions to Home Free. Here are some suggestions:
Brothers in Arms (great harmonies with deep bass) very emotional
Helplessly Hoping (powerful harmony)
Song with message - Everybody Walking This Land
Fun Songs:
Hillbilly Bone
Life is a Highway
Butt Medley
Original Songs:
Stargazer Trilogy (Especially the 2nd Song in the Trilogy)
Romance Cover:
When a Man Loves a Woman
Thanks for y
this!
One of my favorites of Home Free! Their harmonies are so superb and all are great soloists, even Adam who didn’t sing a solo this time!
The last guy chance is also an incredible bass singer
Happy New Year
Dez, I have to mention that this is maybe half of Tim Foust's bass range.
Please more HomeFree
“Brothers in Arms” is a masterpiece by them it’s their version of the Dire Straits song
Then I would recommend you listen to “ Listen to the Music “ and also their original “Playing With Fire” great stuff here
The last solo singer is Adam Chance.
I haven’t! But I did Do You Hear What I Head? And O Holy Night this year, from them. But I’m glad I’ll have things for next year! 🎉🥂
The fifth member who didn’t have a solo is Adam Rupp, cofounder and phenomenal beatboxer. So there aren’t very many opportunities for him to solo, except when he does a drum solo while the others take a break during their concerts.
Stunning
If you want deep check out Tim Foust (Home Free) and Peter Hollins cover of misty mountains from the Hobbit
Adam Rudd is the Beat Boxer & very seldom sings solo's, but all the other 4 have had solo's in other songs. Adam chance sang most of the bass in this performance & Tim Foust, sang the deeper bass in the later part of the song.
Adam rupp the beat boxer didnt sing solo only harmonies....
#HOMEFREE
I think the other videos you saw were from before Chance, the last guy singing solo, joined the group
Chance rarely takes lead, but there are a few gems like Mayday and Folsom Prison Blues (Tim is incredible in the latter too 😉)
She paused at Tim right away, made me laugh, Tim got another. Great reaction ladies.
Me too. 😂 I knew it was coming.
Happy New Year, looking forward to what 2024 brings 🎉
Nice choice of song and the singers; maybe VoicePlay would have been nice as well as a double reaction being as your friend joined you 😜
Enjoyed it and hope your friend can join you some more!
The one you didn't hear with a solo is normally the beatboxer. Also, when you relisten to the first verse, note that there is still an outstanding bass line even though Tim is singing the solo. That is how versatile all of them are. To hear Chance take the lead try the Sea Shanty Melody.
Best version ever! 🥰🎅🎄 #HomeFree
Check out Brothers In Arms for Tim's even lower register😊
If your friend is a base fan show her Geoff Castellucci from Voice Play.
For me home free, PTX and Voctive are top A cappella groups.
Have her listen to them sing "Mayday" by Cam and get her mind blown! 🙂
A singer songwriter claims to not have heard of Home free is odd.
Everyone should hear and love Home Free.
For a low voice listen to Geoff Castelucci from Voice Play
After you think you know them all really well, try out their cover of Mayday.
Yon need to do a reaction to Mayday from home free you wont believe Tim Foust range
Give Helplessly, Hoping a listen. Chance shines.
you should really listen tp Tim sing Misty Mountains if you want to see how low he can go.
