Hi, my name is Jen I am 44 and live in Connecticut with my husband and 8 year old son. I am a stay-at-home Mom and full-time UA-camr with a degree in business with a focus in marketing. Before leaving work when my son was born, I was a commercial lender at a bank. I also worked at Sephora and Macy's doing visual merchandising.
I have dry skin with some hyperpigmentation and fine lines. I love natural makeup looks but occasionally go outside my comfort zone a little bit. TY for mentioning the Lust for Dusk palette as an alternative to the ABH palette! I’m on a low buy, so having a palette that’s similar helps me to appreciate what I have instead of buying new items ❤️

I've been wearing cool, blue based bubblegum pink blush for years as it gives a natural just in from the cold flush to my vampire pale skintone & I love that it's so popular now! The Persona Bubble blush stick is a great dupe for the now discontinued Milk stick blush in Swirl. Although I found Swirl to last longer on the skin, the shades are identical and Bubble is easier to blend and build color intensity because the formula isn't as stiff as the Milk stick blushes. I could literally talk about this shade of blush and offer a multitude of options at various price points all day!!
Jen you are just the queen of dupes! You put so much time into these and it shows! You have introduced me to so many other brands that are equally good if not better and my pocket book thanks you 😘.
The first thing I said when I saw the ABH Nouveau palette was "just a neutral palette with a pop of lavender" and I knew Jen would 100%dupe it!!

The shades that I like in the Nouveau palette are similar to the tones of eye shadows I like from Sydney Grace. I'm hoping to get Tiny Marvels during the Xmas in July sale and that has a close enough lavender shade for me. Thanks for the mid-week video!

That Essence palette is so similar to the ABH! I never would have thought of that one. And it would be easy to find a single matte lavender elsewhere.

I always liked the look of the ND pastels palette but i wouldn't use it all the time so i didn't want to spend that much so now Juvias place has come out with the Garden palette i think I'm going to pick that one up and i like the colour story more in the Juvias place
Hi Jenn, I discovered an alternative palette for the ABH palette. This is a high end palette but if you have this you might not want the ABH. It’s the Sigma Dream palette. I had not used this palette in a very long time. When I pulled it out I was so surprised to see these colors. The Dream palette has a lot more colors and I was just surprised.
Oh you're right! I remember that one and it does have very similar shades in it...I think it even has the lavender doesn't it? I don't own that one sadly but it's good to let everyone know in case they do have it!

I’m waiting for CColor or Bad Habit to come out with a dupe for the ABH palette. I don’t buy from ABH anymore. Too many questionable things going on with the company.

Agreed. Their investor has invested in Rodan & Fields. Anastasia is a Putin supporter. They've had other issues too. The last thing I bought from them was the Sultry palette.

@@zizzie4081 There are screenshots of some IG posts on Reddit (can't access it now, but they come up on Google), and at least one YTer (Smokey Glow?) has mentioned the situation. It really hasn't gotten the attention it deserves.

Ahh. I want the Wild Dahlia palette. I really love Violet Voss. Their quality is top! The shimmers are always beautiful and easy to work with. Same w the mattes. Colour stories are always wearable and give a variety of looks. So underrated

I had been on the fence about the ABH pallette because I saw a few people say it's powdery. Thank you for helping me make up my mind. I already have a pretty matte lavendar in Shiseido Cat Street Pops 07 pallette. It was the greens in the ABH that made me want it anyway.
@C C beauty bay do some excellent earthy palettes that are a good price but are also pigmented soft buttery shadows. They have an excellent variety of greens if your looking for them in particular.

I just got that Juvia's Place Garden of Juvia's palette and it's absolutely gorgeous! I have that Makeup Revolution Ultra Cream Bronzer on my wishlist as well as will be checking out Moira Beauty when I'm in need of a new setting powder! I'm now on a no-buy unless absolutely necessary for skincare and makeup. I've gone a little crazy in the last few months since I decluttered hard during the pandemic and needed to rebuild my collection. :) Thanks for what you do Jen. Your eye look is gorgeous! What a lovely combination, so flattering on you 😍I had kind of the same thought about the lavender shade in the ABH palette, it seems like an after thought somehow, like it does not go with the rest.
I have the Hallo Berlin from Essence but it would have never crossed my mind that they had a very similar vibe (except for the lavender, of course) and actually I had been eyeing the Violet Voss palette for a long time, interesting.

LA girl has this blush palette they released years ago and it has a cool tone pink blush and it’s what I use as my Dior blush. The bronzer on same LA girl palette is my dupe for Charlotte tilbury powder bronzer in medium ( I sold my CT as it was too similar to the LA girl).
The SS blushes in pearlized finish are my dupes for Melt cream blushes.
Your entire look in this video is so pretty!! From the hair to the makeup to the color of your top. The makeup really makes yours eyes and cheeks pop.
