Jason, there is a mayor point the media and many NBA analyst loose sight of is: comparing KY and LD to JB and JT is not point. What would KY be without LBJ and his heroics in the Cleveland finals. Yes KY is one of the best skill ball handlers and finishers in the history of the game and Luka yes is a generational talent. JB and JT are two stars that have been developed by the franchise, in the way OKC wanted to do originally with KD, RW and JH and even the Spurs (who made it work with TD, MG and TP with KL). So many people driving the narrative that the Dallas two are more or better finishers the the Boston duo are seeing where they are and not where the develop. In terms of talent and skill you can have an argument, yet here is where you could say "the process in Boston" will come to show and/or prove if drafting and developing talent (by Danny Ainge) and by adding pieces by Brad Stevens (who really has had the balls to pull the trigger) can work. This is year one of the Brad Stevens experiment and see how far the Danny Ainge drafting process can go...and even that is working, given they are in their second finals in three years, in spite of three coaching changes in five years in that span.

I think they will though it should be a great series. Of course I thought most of the playoff series this year would be great and it's mostly been a dud.
Mavs backcourt duo is stronger but Celtics roster is deeper. What I believe flips it in the Mavs favor is they have had to play difficult teams every round, while Celtics have had a cakewalk path to the finals. Mavs in 6 or 7. It should be a great series but Mavs have the edge

I'm a bit worried about the DLive injury, Gafford has trouble being consistently great, but he has come clutch. Dwight Powell, however, he isn't a final kind of player and Luka especially use that position a lot as a threat. Not to mention, it's a very important position for their defense. I'm happy Luka has been looking better and though he has less rest between games, and you know he is still injured, I think he will be fine. I think if the Mavs close this series out and DLive and Maxi gets healthy for the Boston series, I think they will win with force.
Thanks for responding to my mailbag question about guarding Luka. However apparently you misunderstood the question as you labeled it "Does Luka commit offensive fouls?" The question was how do you defend a player who plays the way Luka does?
Mailbag question: How big is the Hoops Tonight crew and who are some of the people behind the scenes whose hard work putting this show out goes unseen to the audience?
I don’t trust Tatum in a high stakes high pressure setting where to win he has to outplay the other team superstar, i picked warriors in 2022 cs Tatum was inconsistent during the whole playoff run and the Celtics role guys were big threats to outplay him in games, the role players finally started play like role players in the finals and Tatum got outplayed by Andrew Wiggins, idc how stacked Tatums teams are for them to win a chip it’s coming down to him!
