@@rarered7856 and the pistons beat the Thunder. Regular season ball isn’t end all be all The Magic repeatedly beat the Celtics this past season but the Celtics easily won the chip “Casual” is hilarious, but rock out 😂😭
Having the Bucks ranked below the Lakers is laughable. Even with all of their clunky issues, essentially three coaches between two seasons, injuries, and bad fit with an undersized and defensively inept backcourt (which the Lakers also have), their starting lineup had the best net rating in the league by far. Better than the Celtics who had a historic win differential and also played bottom of the barrel teams in the East. head to head the Bucks have the 3 of the top 5 best players. Yes, Khris Middleton is better than both Russell and Reaves.
It has been for a long time when it comes to the Bucks, pretending the half court was the reason they got eliminated after 2021 is crazy. Middleton doesn't play vs Boston, Giannis gets injured vs Miami, Giannis doesn't play at all vs Indiana but yes, there is significant evidence it was the half court offense... Disregarding the coaching mayhem, Dame's offseason and off court issues, the huge roster construction problems and even with all that the Bucks finished 3rd and without their best player they went out in 6 vs Indiana, that beat the Knicks, with Dame and Middleton on one leg. If Giannis doesn't get injured Bucks finish 2nd and their only playoff competition is Boston. Most of the issues should be gone, roster is excellent this year, Dame should be back to being Dame, he and Giannis should play much better with and off each other and for once we will have depth besides Bobby but we're 9th. Middleton, Dame and Giannis shared the floor in a very small number of games and we were injured riddled on both Western playoff trips plus the coaching change BUT we would be a play in team in the West. As if we didn't smash the Nuggets, the Mavs, OKC, TWolves, Suns, Clippers etc and that was not even at full health. Now if due to Doc or health someone is very low on the Bucks, then I get it, but this video is complete ass. Respect the opinion and the view, very well articulated, there's not bias against Milwaukee or anything, it just happens to be for the most part wrong. The inner problems were the biggest issue for the team, the roster construction was wrong since we brought Malik to partner with Jrue. Had the offseason started with Dame we would have gotten a totally different type of player. Plus the depth was very limited, we had Pat Bev being our 2nd bench guy which speaks by itself and our wings weren't athletic or tall and couldn't defend. We played 2 completely different styles with Doc and Adrian Griffin and Doc had little to not time to practice. All those things imporved at the same time which is a huge boost plus just by Dame being Dame things change dramatically. The Bucks being 9th makes absolutely zero sense. Jason also is a huge analytics nerd and forms his opinion around them, acting as if the algorithm behind them was downloaded from God via Moses and we haven't seen laughable results like Jokic having some all time great defensive stats. There is not much context on why the backcourt ranked that low defensively, just blame Dame, as if the SG and the defensive scheme played no part in this but at the same time let's pretend Jokic and Brunson are good defenders. The offensive stats are also laughable because the Bucks were 2nd on offense behind Indiana for half the year and like 22nd on defense with AG and then with Doc we had a horrible offensive run due to the changes and no time to practice, but yes, let's blindly throw half court offensive stats when not only there was a coaching change but the big 3 rarely played together. I hope the Bucks humble him so this shit stops. Still like and support Jason, he's one of the best guys out there, he can't get everything right, but this video couldn't be more off.
It must be so easy to be a lakers hater. All you have to do is say “lakers suck” no explanation. No basketball talk, nothing. Lakers have a top 3 duo in all of basketball. They were also one of the best 3 point shooting teams last year. They were also a top 5 most injured team last year. All to their role players which affected lineups, roles, etc. all of their defenders were injured as well.
@@BahamutEternal they have a top 3 duo in crunch time, on a game to game basis bron is a poor defender and is not applying rim pressure like he used to to conserve energy. Over the 82 they’re not even close to being a top 3 duo. Also AD not being an initiator greatly limits his potential offensively, he needs to be set up in the same way many average centers in the league do, making him mostly a defensive minded star. You’ve got a bad defensive backcourt and a limited offensive frontcourt. Both cover each other’s weaknesses but they don’t really accentuate each other’s strengths. If bron was still attacking the basket every possession, collapsing the defense and kicking out to AR or Dlo I think this team would be great but he’s not that guy every night anymore. Not having that consistency is going to lead to a lower seed once again, leading to an insanely tough playoff path that bron won’t be able to last through. There is no realistic path to a championship which is why I think they’re too high
It is because those who watch ball and aren’t casuals know that a healthy Milwaukee team is a top 5 team. Doc will have a full year this time and if Dame/Khris and Giannis can be on the floor at the same time consistently - they can compete with anyone. And with the new additions of Prince, Trent Jr and Delon Smith they will help out so much more than Pat Bev, Malik and Crowder did.
I admit im a Bucks fan so I have bias but this isnt up for debate. This is just plain wrong, sorry. The only reason Milwaukee hasn’t gotten past the second round since they won is because of injuries. Literally, the last time they were 100% healthy in the playoffs they won the chip. And now they’ve got Dame who’s prolly gonna bounce back this year. If they are healthy in the playoffs, they have a chance to dominate even New York and Boston. Big time hate and bias affecting this positioning. Only reason they were sub 50 wins last year is the coaching changes, personnel changes, Dame being out of shape, and everyone being injured. This year, Lord willing, those won’t affect them and they should be a 55+ win team and maybe even better than Boston. Besides they’ve got new pieces off the bench that’ll bolster the team and especially their defense. They are an excellent top 3 contender when healthy. That’s just the facts

The bucks biggest issues defensively, even when bud was the coach, was being able to guard elite scoring guards. this was even more of an issue last season with a lack of good defensive guards. Dlo in both games like I said had 40, it’s highly unlikely he gets that if lebron plays because lebron is going to take the ball out of dlos hands, so now instead of having dlo attacking dame and Malik Beasley all game, I got lebron trying to go up against giannis and Brook Lopez protecting the rim, it’s a different dynamic which makes a huge difference when you take into account play style and team’s strengths and weaknesses. If you’ve watched most games lebron has played against the bucks as a laker, the bucks generally come out on top, since like 2020 the lakers have only beaten the bucks like 2-3 times when lebron has played, also since then the bucks have beaten the lakers more times than the lakers had beaten them up until this passed season when they lost both of their matchups. Lebron isn’t at the stage of his career anymore where he can carry a not so good team against a good one. 2. Thunder
1. Celtics
I’m a diehard Knicks fan btw, let’s see if I call it right lol
I don't think he will have the wolves as high. Probably 7th I would assume. If you listen to Jason's comments since the end the season, he usually is pretty critical of the wolves offense even if he loves Anthony Edwards. Rest of your list is probably spot on (might have the nuggets above OKC though).
@@MrMorfoun That’s a good point on the Timberwolves. For sure he’ll have Boston and OKC 1 & 2. And maybe I’m underestimating his Dallas love because he holds Luka in such high regard.
@@MrMorfoun Btw what team do you root for?
@@chrisstfort7I think this is probably about right. I agree he might have Denver over Minnesota and I wouldn't be surprised if he has Philly over Dallas.
nah he'll probably have mavs and twolve switched, because mavs beat the wolves and got better in the offseason. wolves only notable move was the draft
Maybe NYK & Boston will beat each other up, Jimmy turns into Michael Jordan again for the Heat for the first few rounds, or the Sixers will get lucky, and the Bucks make it back to the Finals. Then maybe they run into a Thunder team or something, that isn't quite Finals ready.
Lakers locking up a top 5 seed yall just bugging out for no reason on some Lakers hate type shit
They were in the play In
@@ddog2251 past tense yeah they were and they aint finna be this year book it
Lakers climbing the charts!! Lake Bro Show!
1 hour discussion of the Bucks is crazy not for me😂
MAILBAG: What criteria do you believe Jayson Tatum has to meet to be the MVP? In recent years they’ve shown that being the best player on the best team is not enough and I personally believe that his highest value is in versatility, with that being said he’s most likely not going to average 35 like Luka and Embiid, so what type of season do you foresee him needing to attain that award?
You are projecting the Lakers to be better than the Bucks??? !! Some bias at play here.
LAKERS OVER THE BUCKS OMG😭😭😭😭😭😭
Obviously. They’re better kid!
They beat the bucks in Both matchups without Lebron, try watching basketball you casual 🙄🤦🏽♂️
@@rarered7856by your logic the Bucks were just as good as the Thunder, Nuggets, and Timberwolves going 1-1 against them, better than the Mavs (2-0) who went to the finals, and just as good as the Celtics (2-2). But I doubt you'd ever say that huh?
@@rarered7856 your constant use of “casual” only reveals your ignorance (I find this to be the case of many people who use it), especially when the only information that you choose to use is the fact that they beat them twice in the regular season. When other people have confronted you with regular season records, and how much they don’t actually matter in the playoffs, you have no retort. By your definition, you’re showing your casual/superficial knowledge. The Lakers made no moves to get better, they have a brand new codes in a brand new system, I’m going to have to agree that the bucks are still better overall. And I assure you, I’m no casual.
@@rrsmith30 See that’s the thing I keep seeing “the Lakers made no move” but when you review the season by the Lakers it was a clear issue when it came down to schemes and adjustments in game. It was a clear issue when matching up with quality well coached playoff caliber teams, it would be a competitive game and within those games the margin for error is small it comes down to adjustments and play calling, in game awareness on when to assess when a timeout is needed, something the head coach at the time failed to do on numerous occasions. The fact is the move that needed to be made to get the best out of This roster has been made by acquiring JJ as the Hc.
I naively thought Jason was above rage baiting...he's explained in the past in a reasonable way why he spends a lot of the time on the Lakers. But having that impact rankings is a sad thing to see. Only way to have Bucks this low is to incorporate the risk of injuries...but how is that not an even bigger ding against the lakers?
Dude said someone should "Take a page out JJ REDICK book" he hasn't coached 1 single game bruh lol then later in video gassed up the In Season Tournament to justify having Lakers ranked so high lol this the issue with Laker FANS being in media🤣🤦🏿♂️
How do yall think the bucks are better than the lakers 😭
Bros going to put the Lakers top 5 this is wild
I told you lakers were top 8 and it was a valid spot for them to be
Yes, the Eastern conference is much easier compared to the West. 🤗
they dont lol.
🤝🏾
Bucks will win this year, they finally have no weaknesses, the only thing is that Giannis is gonna have to learn how to set picks
At this rate I’d be shocked if the Lakers don’t end up #1 on his power rankings
Gotta love the haters 👏🏻
Bucks got better and were title favs entering last season
I think its hilarious that in the last 3 power ranking videos there hasnt been notbing but talk about how the lakers aren't better than any of these teams.
Even in videos that make zero mention of them 😂
@@mzwandilencube7800 it's crazy 💀
Lakers going to the super bowl!
Can’t wait to have the Lakers over the Celtics on this list 🫠😂
It’s like y’all don’t even listen to Jason’s reasonings. You just say “lakers omg they suck!!! “ y’all have zero basketball iq
They just want something to be mad at it's insane
Bro did you watch the Lakers last year?
@@jeffreyvalentyn6815 they constantly played to the level of their competition, whether good or bad. That is a sign of a good (albeit inconsistent) team
I love the way you detail things. You should be a coach!! Whether college or high school, etc lol 😂😂😂
Come on bro u better than this. A lot of the teams get way more benefit of the doubt
Lakers haters are melting!!! Haha!!
Giannis is the 3 or 4th best player on the planet. Stop playing with the Bucks, fam.
Hes top 2 my guy
No way Bucks are ninth. I have them top 5. Among other things, remember Dame was fresh off a divorce last year. Unless you're a psychopath, that stuff takes most normal humans 12-18 months to process. I see him bouncing back big this year...watch.
Bucks should be atleast 8th or 7th in the league not 9 but we shall see
PSA If you disagree with this ranking you Do Not watch NBA basketball fr. You are just speaking from a non factual basis casual perspective, the Lakers beat the Bucks in both matchups without Lebron James. I don’t know why y’all are trying to treat the lakers like they’re the Detroit pistons but obviously yall are not in tune with the reality of the teams you speak of.
What did the Lakers do to actually get better
No matter what you think the ranking should be, imo the result of 2 regular season matchups is irrelevant. Power rankings to me are about the bigger picture, and the Lakers vs Bucks actual matchup literally only matters next year if by some miracle they meet in the Finals
@@tiredbasketballfan Lakers starting Backcourt and Frontcourt just better than Bucks AR & DLO > Dame & Pat OR Gary Trent Jr...Lebron/AD/Rui > Giannis/Brook/Middleton
Those games are irrelevant cause lakers defeated a fully healthy celtics team without ad and brom and you think they could beat them in a full series hell nahh, bucks > lakers bruh
This is so stupidly wrong. According to Jason Dame is a top 25 player him next to any component guard (Trent who the Lakers were desperately trying to get btw) is a better backcourt than DLo and Reaves....@@slickbeaaach8446
bro is promoting cannabis to his viewers . no shot
They don't
Welp that upcoming Wolves and Knicks take/rank aint here yet and already aged poorly lol. KAT gone.
LMAO here we go. Ready for another season of this dude pretending the bucks bad luck is anything other than just that: bad luck.
Silly goose. #9 😂😂😂😂 oh god that’s good
The Lakers shouldnt even be in the top 10
The Bucks being 9th is ridiculously low and having them below the Lakers is just insane to me. Lakers are a good team but they aren't better than the Bucks and many of these other teams that are gonna be ranked above them aren't better than them either imo. They're not the favorites, but they are one of the higher level contenders imo
Jayson, please address the people’s concern that you have an incredible bias towards the lakers. I’m not mad, but requiring an expansion-as all we are-as to your bias of the buck finishing under the lakers. I am far from all be in thinking in thinking this is not only a monstrous take, but a ridiculous one that has no credence with anyone that has a brain. Please, I think you’re better.
Did you listen to his explanation of why!? Or that he believes 11-5 is in the same tier? No need to get worked up because of one placement difference in the same tier.
Maybe it’s time to reconsider
He was so wrong
Very wrong. They should’ve been lower
Lakers homer fosho
This video is hot ass. 😂
Jason could spend the whole day giving substantial evidence and stats that justify his own basketball opinion and some dweeb in the comment is still going to be saying “NUH-UH” 🤦🏾♂️
Bucks front office still suspect to me. Outside of dame trade they way too conservative. Also they shoulda got somebody more athletic than Middleton. Lack of athleticism will kill this team. Also lack of player development.
Jason credibility before starting the top 10 list📈📈📈📈📈
