- St. Michael's Abbey invites you to prepare for the celebration of Christmas by praying and singing with us during our service of Lessons and Carols. The evening will include readings from Scripture and writings from the saints, polyphonic works sung by the abbey schola, and carols sung by all! Come and join us as we celebrate the birth of our Savior.
The evening begins at 7 PM (Pacific). This broadcast will begin approx. 10 minutes prior.

Please reinstall a real altar....instead of a box table. Lovely singing . God bless your community, priests and seminarians.
That is a real altar. Not merely a box table, lol. A real, consecrated altar where the Sacrifice of Christ is represented.
I believe the Abbeyis somewhat newly constructed, so a stand alone altar not attached to the wall makes sense. The altar looks very dignified and I would assume both the Extraordinary Form and Ordinary Form could be celebrated at the altar with great dignity.
@@michaelxavierlundy I think that's exactly why they have the altar this way, so that they celebrate BOTH forms of the Mass, which they do, as their Order's main focus IS on the Liturgy itself. Pax Christi.
