This is How I Got to 2000 Elo...

  • In today's video, I am showing you one of my games against another fellow 2000 Elo player. I discuss the importance of center control in a game and areas of adaptation in fishy situations. I played the Caro Kann, getting 2 brilliant chess moves and winning the game by sacrificing the rook! I hope you enjoyed it!

    In chess commentary, the most important thing is to sound confident and knowledgeable. Most of us won't be able to tell if the analysis is truly insightful or not.
    You did a great job, keep it going!

      A few days ago I lost 8-9 games in a row even though I was very close to 1600 elo. The next day I just turned on music and won about 80-85% of my games and finally got 1600 elo. Now I'm only going to play unrated games for a while

      That's the best decision. You already reached your goal. There's nothing to accomplish.
      Just what levy said, 2200+ requires you to study openings which is a big waste of time because you are sacrificing not having fun. Some people just want to manipulate you to waste time on things you don't value just for the benefit of their own.

    Anyways, that was an awesome game and a commentary.

    • @TheTakenName
      @TheTakenName  Місяць тому +2

      Board Vision is developed by taking good observations of possible move variations with your pieces. We seem to make blind spots especially when we have pins and discover attacks. I use to do a bit of AimChess but doing puzzles and just study odd and interesting positions from master games helps the best! Hope this helps! 👍💪
