- Join us as a Monday which is NOT my favorite! The concrete season is always a battle and today I was feeling it. I didn't even record how frustrated I actually was but enough so you get the point. Either way the job is ready to pour in the morning and that was the goal.

I will always be real and show the good along with the struggles on this channel even if it makes me look bad at times and turns some people off. I would rather turn people away that be a fake or a pretender. Have a great weekend everyone! It's beautiful here in Wisconsin and my wife and I are celebrating our 22nd wedding anniversary so it's a good day. Plus it's Friday which is my favorite. I do have another video ready to go Saturday and then another really good one for Sunday so stay tuned.

That skeleton crew life. My retail job was just like this. They would keep even the worse employees because no wanted to work in my department and they were better than nothing. 🤣🤣

Ryan always says Darryl and him are good friends and have known each other a very long time. If I was Ryan, I would find a new friend. a good longtime friend doesn't take advantage of a friendship like Darryl does. When I found out Ryan was letting him comeback after Darryl quit on him last year, I thought about not watching anymore. hopefully Ryan will take off his good guy glasses one day and see it is a one-way friendship and Darryl is a user and a loser.

I have to agree with 100% as if it was my company and Daryl did that to me i'am sorry friend or no friend your gone!!!!!!!!! Business is Business. I have had to let go a few friends of mine when i ran my Djing company for not showing to help me set-up a big show or calling me on a Friday night to let me know that he could not dj a wedding on Saturday afternoon hummmm sounds a little funny eh. Oh well we all know that Ryan is a softy and there is not gonna be any thing done about this no call no show AGAIN.

I have never experienced as much second hand shame in my life as I do watching Daryl no call no show time after time after time, especially when Ryan is so forgiving to him every time

I was a employee of a person who ran the exact same business like this. I would no call no show and be late but when I was there I got the job done. I never feared being fired bc we ain't baking cookies out there it's a gruesome labor job where ppl who are drop outs or felons do. Needless to say I ended up quitting 4 months in, which I'm sure most bosses come across workers like me so overall they are willing to be ok with absents rather then down a man in a crew for half the year bc ppl coming n going

That's normal they just happy have a constant check and job. The jobs bulls though eventually hooneymoon ends and they will ride it out or find something easier for similar pay

Him and Eric have become very reliable. Eric is still late a few minutes here and there but overall I don't even question if they are going to show up or not.

Francisco and Eric are so consistent. even if they arnt as good at concrete work as marcel just by being on the job more days i would argue they are more efficient and more professional
I don't know about that. Marcel seems to be a hard worker to me I kinda look down on Ryan for yelling at him the last couple times. Who knows if he has kids or sick or court or whatever. If I was Marcel I would've yelled back.

I’m anewsub but I love these vids I was a bricklayer for 8 years before I blew my back and my shoulder but my whole fam did construction dads side bricklayers and moms side cement finishers did both when I was younger but Ryan I love the commaraderie, love your vids don’t stop doing you bro.

I think Ryan gives his guys a lot with buying lunches and making sure they have work !!! there are times they are late also and dont answer their phones !!! Nothing worse then trying to line up work when your never sure all the help is going to show up or not !! A lot of STRESS for the boss !!!

I work for my brother and see the struggles daily and behind the scenes too. Fortunately for him , I run our 5 guy pour team. That frees him up for all the behind the scene work and the tear outs. The value of a good reliable employee is priceless. I feel for you bro. It would be a pleasure to work for you. Your guys couldn’t ask for a better boss and friend. I love the channel Ryan. I would be frustrated at a no call no show as well. Marcel needed to leave early, you didn't have to treat him the way you treated him. Although, I don't know if he gave you a heads up ahead of time. Marcel seems like a good worker and its really none of his business, if your business has been slacking or not as productive in a couple weeks. It's also not his fault for someone else not showing up and you being frustrated. Maybe there's somethings he's doing that I haven't seen but as far as I could tell, Marcel didn't deserve to be talked to in that manner. I STILL LOVE THE VIDEOS lol, I just didn't see anyone in the comments stick up for him :)

Your girls, Autumn and Hanna, are such great video producers. They have a great eye for every detail and the instinct to "Get the shot" in spontaneity without having to "Stage" too many shots. And still have good continuity while adding the music. I'm very impressed. My son was a TV news producer and he knows if you don't get the shot, your story is weak or empty. Good Job Girls!

1) they’re taking complete advantage of you .
2) they don’t care about you or your success, haters ,really H8 themselves, for them not being where you are ….

With most employers, one no call no show and you’re fired on the spot with no chance of ever being rehired. There must be something with Darryl behind the scenes that we don’t understand because it’s astounding how many opportunities he gets.

As someone who has done more than my own share of general labor and been the back to break on a lot of jobsites I just want to say - Someone who is in a position of responsibility (like Daryl) not showing up when expected too puts a lot more people in bad situations than just Ryan (the boss man). Just for example- When someone like me is picking yards and yards of rock on a jobsite and the guy responsible for driving the bobcat/etc doesn't show up I'm now not only having to deal with the regular pyshical stress of picking all day in the heat but I now don't get the help/break the bucket give me as I'm left to do my job PLUS stop and clear out the dirt/rock on my own instead. Which in turn if it happens enough can and most likely will cost you (Ryan in this case) good reliable labor because they will get worn out and tired of being left high and dry and to pick up the pieces so to speak of someone who doesn't even have the respect to give notice.
That's exactly right. Not only that but it puts me in a bad mood which all the other guys have to deal with that day. Stay tuned.

Ryan, I have to admit I truly admire the way you handle diversity with on the job, especially with added issues such as inclement weather, no show employees and unseen or unknown problems. You just work through the problem without letting it control your good natured manner. While we can see a little frustration and hear it in your voice, you don't fall into it to let change you.
