Concerning the future of drifting topic: I really feel like Aaron was able to put into words what everyone is feeling. I myself found you guys when the 1UZ S13 drifting in the woods came out, and it changed my complete perspective. Because I felt like you guys made me realize what I want to pursue in my automotive life, I got a shop, learned how to rebuild engines, built myself a drift car and learned about japanese styling of drift cars. I made friends, I built cars, I got into drifting - something that would have never happened without you guys. I love channels like LZ, but you guys made drifting RELATABLE - you made me realize that I could do it too. Thank you for the inspiration and see you in a couple of weeks in the store! :)
Hey guys! Firstly thanks as always for the great content! Ok Sam you asked for feedback after an amazingly insightful interview so here's mine, I'm a 43 yr old Aussie who has followed drifting since the early 2000's and you guys are my favourite crew to watch these days. My advice to you would be to keep doing what makes you happy! There will be ups and downs but if you stay true to your roots you will always come out on top. I see it in your videos that you want to please your audience but I caution deviating from your truth if that make sense! Basically just keep doing your thing and bring us along fpr the ride! If you need a break, take it! You deserve it and we will all be here when you get back! I promise 😉
The words used from 12:36 to 14:32 made me goosebumps. That's the true! Being a trendsetter is a huge responsibility and it's understandable only when years passes by and one day you look back and see what you've done during your long journey. I've been seeing your videos since the beginnig, i was a young sim drifter for a lot of years but never had the chance to have a real drift car cause too expensive for me and not so popular in my country (Italy) at that time, so i've taken another "road". But now at almost 30 yrs old i'm a bit tired of the bikes, so i've decided to give it a go and follow my real passion buying an RWD and starting prepping it for drifting. That's almost cause of you guys and i'm glad that i've keep following your channel. Your dedication, passion, fun and the way that you guys enjoy your life is something beautiful for me. Wish i had the possibilities back in the days, but it's never too late to start "living" again. Keep up your good work! Maybe one day i'll came to Poland to know you guys in person.
@@Slegoelektro parole sante! Non servono soldi per essere felici. La passione è la benzina della vita! (Certo però che un conto in banca bello pieno aiuterebbe 😂👍🏻)
nightride got me into drifting. started watching your videos about a year ago, then went and bought an E36 318is coupe and started modifying it to be cooler. crashed it a few times but im having so much fun and that's what its about :) keep up the awesome videos love from Australia
A bit of situation. I only got into drifting the last few years. I'm damned near 50 and been a car guy since 12. Always been enamored with anything with wheels. I missed the whole first wave of drifting. Just like I missed the first two waves of black metal. But these guys are a huge inspiration to keep going and find what I enjoy. My original doorway to old JDM was Juicebox. Love what you guys are doing. Keep it cheap, keep it cool, keep it underground.
Such a good interview. So articulate, passionate, full of great story. Regarding Aaron’s question - I think there are a lot of people out there searching for meaning and community through cars. We see a lot of crazy builds online and we think ‘this is what it should be and what I should aspire to’ and a lot of times creators don’t talk about the reality of made-for-content cars. It’s not a sexy topic. But I respect that you guys keep it real - we need more role models like you guys.
You guys are one of the main reason why I got my E46 and started drifting, I had always been interested in drifting because I used to watch Adam LZ when I was 15 years old but I thought that drifting was incredibly expensive to do because of what I saw on his channel (no disrespect to him) so I got into grip racing because it seemed a bit more financially viable for me (you go through less tires and the car doesn't break as frequently) but then I started watching your videos (my first ever Nightride video was Bugi's crash when you guys still had very few subscribers) and then my interest sparked again, my love for BMW's started and seeing how cool the cars looked (Polish style is goated) I was hooked! So I sold my very boring daily driver honda accord to get myself a clapped out E46 that looked like it was ready to go the scrapyard (rusty, oil leaks, blown out shocks and the clutch was slipping) at first my plan was to just drift during the winter because your videos made it look so fun and chill, after driving my first winter I fell in love with drifting and I was addicted to it, when summer came I was sad because my car is very slow (it's a 320i with an M54B22 that produced 170hp in 2003 so probably 145 now) but then I saw you guys drift the E30 and I thought to myself that there had to be a way to drift low hp cars, so I pumped up my tire pressure added way too much toe out and about -2.5 degrees of camber in the rear to have as little grip as possible and started rain drifting and got comfortable with it, I then tried drifting on the dry asphalt and with enough clutch kicks and speed I managed to start linking street spots (in mexico of course). For the looks of the car I got myself some classic Polish Opel wheels (GMC Terrain wheels here in Canada) and lowered the car a bit too much to be able to look a bit like the typical Polish bmw's, after watching Jimmy come to Poland to drift his red E36 I got myself an odesa CNC angle adapter kit and adjustable front shock top mounts because of the comments he left about the parts and I'm very pleased with the products the front end feels phenomenal and the price was very good for the great quality, seeing you guys paint your own car motivated me to do mine because it was getting pretty rusty and I didn't want the car to rot away since the floors were in good condition so I repainted it Nightride style in my garage with my dad and we did a great job! I own a bunch of Nightride merch because I think it's literally THE best merch ever made on youtube (Quality wise, style wise and price wise) and I even have an OG Kevin mug which is the first thing I ever bought from you guys alongside with a classic Nightride hoodie (I saw the evolution in merch quality) so yeah I would say that you guys are quite a big inspiration for me, every Sunday morning my girlfriend and I get a coffee and watch a Nightride video and your videos give me the motivation to go work on my car since I see you guys work so hard for what you have and it's really relatable and refreshing the see! I'm currently in the process of swapping an M54B30 instead of my good old M54B22 in my E46, so now's the time for me to go work on that and stop procrastinating! Thank you guys for great content, your sincerity and all the motivation you've given me and many others for the past few years. Keep up the great work you guys deserve every good thing that happened to you in the recent years! Big love from Canada, hope to meet you guys one day here or maybe at Ultrace!
I agree with what Aaron said. For me, as an observer of you practically from the beginning when the videos were still in Polish, I see Nightride not only as a YT channel but more as a movment, a statement, a way of livin'. I'm super exited and it's freakin' inspiring to see how you guys started- as a group of friends with love for cars and where you are now, living your dream life. And Yes, among other things, it is your responsibility to ensure that drifting not only in Poland, but everywhere is perceived as a passion for motorsports and not only for those who have a sponsor behind them. What matters is pure enjoyment, and friendships developed on the way, and thats- in my opinion, is the NEIGHTRIDE way.
That chill drifter guy at the beginning was right. I found you through the police chase V8 Miata video, and since then, I haven’t missed a single video from you. You are the reason why I want to start building a nice-looking car and hang out in a big garage with my friends. You’re also the reason why I want to drive from Germany to Poland next summer, just to meet you guys at the shop. I love your content, every single car you’ve built so far, and you guys. :D
I believe a huge part of people watching you will never drift a proper car on a track, after all we are the broke guys that were pulling the handbrake on our old fwd 75hp parents car when we were younger, on some rainy day having just fun and laughing. I believe this is why nightride became so big. Living it up for us that couldn’t. One love guys
Hi Sam, I definitely think you guys are a huge influence in the drift scene. Aaron and guys like him were trendsetters 10 or so years ago, but like he said, those times are gone. Now people like you guys are needed to pave the way for new generation. Unfortunately it wont be easy :( Aaron mentioned 1000$ cars in Japan. Now it's tough to start without at least 5000$ (in Poland), new regulations, new laws, tracks being closed... but you guys are making it work and the whole community appreciates it. Keep up the great work.
Aaron is always so good in finding the right words talking about drifting. You guys show the people you don't need 1000hp cars to drift or have fun. Just a bunch of friends building cars and other stupid sh*t.
Your channel alone has been the sole reason I want to get into drifting, here soon I plan on getting a platform to build on and would love to make content like you guys do. Keep up the hard work and great videos and you will continue to inspire generations to come.
He is 100% right, Nightride is what is shaping my style of cars and the sport of drifting for me, its what is influencing me as I grow more into the sport of drifting. you guys have such a powerful platform and tool to work with.
Hey guys, just wanted to say Thank you for every single one of your videos and everything you do... You basically got me addicted to drifting. I mean, I was really into cars before and I always knew that I want to base my life somewehere around them, but when I started watching your videos, it basically changed my life. Bought my first car (316i compact :D), started to record some videos (I really enjoy doing those and I also don't really think that I would even try to record them if I hadn't seen your videos) and Iam just having a blast of a time every time I do anything related to cars :D Really hope that I am going to meet lots of amazing people, learn to drift, have some great adventures and make my dreams (wich were really influenced by you and I'm so glad for that) come true😅 So yea... Thank you again for everything.😁✌️
I didn’t expect this would become one of my top 10 Nightride Videos! The quality of the content is amazing and every answer resonates deeply with my thoughts about “life” and Drift. We are all responsables about the community and the future of drifting, and in case you didn’t know this, you are making a great job inspiring and nurturing the community. Thanks guys
Hands down; that was one of the most informative and honest videos I have ever seen. I really couldn't argue with anything Aaron said. Coming from a Dirt Racing back ground; I personally witness almost everything he mentioned and slowly burnt ourselves out trying to keep up with technology. At 66 years old; I now have the time to reflect and this video says it all. Congratulations Sam and NightRide once again. Keep up the great work.
Hey Nightride Team, you probably wont be reading this anyways but imma write it anyways haha I am a 21yo from the Canary Islands, Spain, here motorsport scene had its golden era from the 80s to the 00s. Rally cars, track cars, show cars, collectionist cars, trucks, motorbikes anything you can name we have here. However over time younger generations have been losing that interest and it is sadly fading away, heck we dont even have race tracks or circuits to drift in. I always enjoyed cars ever since i was a kid thanks to my dad, but a year ago I met your youtube channel for the first time. I admired your work and all the passion and hunger you should in each video I saw. You guys keep it real to how carguy life is in reality without looking like a big corporation or something but I feel like you guys need to be the next best thing in the drifting scene in Europe. I agree with Aaron’s words, you guys truely inspired a whole generation of youth and in such a strict continent that Europe is. Us fans love your content and will support you in making this community reach the sky. Thanks again!
I would say you show a lot of us a whole new car world we didn`t know at all. I'm from south america, Colombia specifically, and even I can`t have now a drift car (cheap cars here ar all fwd), I do want to drift moving to another country for a couple of months or something like that. I'm planning to go Poland in fact haha (really big fan here, from the very first videos). But even if its true you have this "responsability", I would suggest don't overthink that too much. I would say a lot of us see your videos because you're genuine, you enjoy what you're doing and are not afraid of being stupid or do crazy shit. Letting "responsability" kill that spirit would be a mistake. Just know you have built a strong an important part of the culture but keep being yourselves, that's what brought you and us here :)
I was introduced to drifting because of your e30 "cursed" build. And then drifting it in winter is what made me fell in love with the whole culture of it. I was in the Philippines that time, but now living in UK, I hope I get to experience my first drifting event. Thanks @nightride. ❤
Drifting is still very alive today and so is the nightride channel, whether you know it or not this is the natural progression of what option video and other old school videos would have become. I think you guys really do take this seriously and want to further progress the sport with your own passion and ideas. That's really all anyone can ask for and its awesome to see others have the same mentality we all feel so deeply about no matter where you are in the world
Wow, what a dude! He's like the older uncle passig the baton on to you guys. For sure there's a responsibility there, but like others have said, you already have nailed what makes this whole world relatable to many others. Keep it up, we love your work!
btw if y'all haven't seen Aarons videos I highly suggest watching more of them, he does a lot of these deep dive talks and they're pretty good. But yeah, I do agree with a lot of what he said in this video. I left another comment on a different video where you all were working on the mark II and seeing it go from undriveable to now with cool wheels and manual and continuing to evolve really inspired me. I get that you got a pretty good deal because it was crashed but even still, it makes me want to go out and do stuff like this as well and find a community of like-minded people to do this stuff with. I've been into cars for years but never really in a financial situation to ever commit but you guys are proof you don't need like the fanciest stuff or even the best looking stuff. Just do what you can and make it driveable first then make it look pretty. This is why I find channels like this are so easy to come back to and watch the videos because it's super relatable. keep doing your thing, you all are amazing
Been watching since the OG garage. Watching you and others like Jimmy have inspired me so much. I started building my car last year and was able to go drifting for the first time this year at 51.
I had never thought of what aaron said at the end of the video but it makes sense and it is true. I think yea, you guys have a decent amount of responsibility when it comes to forming a new generation of car guys (like myself) and clearly, you are succeeding. what you transmit through your videos is that drifting isn't rocket science and quite simply fun. so keep it up, love you
I think Aaron’s point of view is correct. You guys have huge impact on community and you can make the community better as you do now in my opinion or make the community worse, more devided etc. Keep up the good work.
This is going to be a longer comment than usual but I think what Aaron said is so valuable. For many of us that are your age or younger, we have always enjoyed the car culture, drifting, and many associated factors but felt like we missed out on the "golden age" or that things were simply too expensive. When I started watching your channel, I couldn't help but be inspired that you guys were going out and doing what you wanted with what you had rather than sitting and moping about. For me, that has really been a factor in getting myself more basic mechanics knowledge, enjoying the cars that I can afford now and looking forward to some future cars. That's going to local car shows, and track days with my kids and letting them be excited about the cars they see. That's even taking the mindset of just having faith in myself and bettering my own skills in areas non-car related as well. I went back to school and got my masters and the days where it felt hard as hell I popped on some of your guys' videos and said to myself, "believe in yourself and you'll make big accomplishments". You guys have, and continue to show, just how far a group of friends with a shared vision can go.
What got me was when he said your local track 30mins away. 😮 Am in Cumbria in the UK and that's 3hrs 30 away from Driftland or 2hrs 30 away from Three sisters. Considering how much farm land ect we have around to be able to drift legally is a big commitment to been able to travel. It probably costs about £300 per drift day as s novice which I di because I love it and am lucky enough to have friends with trailers and vans but not everyone is. For me that's the main hold back
To be honest I kinda agree with Aaron. I’m from Italy and the content you share guys is pretty uncommon. The simplicity of your content is the key of your success. I hope that in the future (when I’ll have more money to spend on shitboxes) I’ll try to do something similar (even if the European regulations are getting stricter). In the end I think that social media in general could help consistently the success of drifting in Europe too.
Nightride and polish car scenes have been my biggest inspiration for learning how to drift, throwing all my money getting my e36 set up ready to take to tracks. I would agree that I look up to you guys as inspiration for drifting and car culture. Love from England🫶🏽
Been watching you guys for ages now watch every video as soon as it comes out and aarons right about you guys influencing because all i want it the world is to have a beater fun low and happy car to go and mess about in cause ive been watching you guys doing it and hes right about the struggle in different countrys because am located in scotland and there nobody i know that goes to drift tracks or drifts cars at all and if your caught street drifting your licence is most likely gone. Keep up the good work guys and visit scotland some time would love to meet yous
I have been watching you guys for a while and you guys are the ones that got me so into cars I saw your guys videos and it motivates me to work on my rigs I look forward to the next nitride video as soon as I finish the newest one first thing Sunday morning I wake up and watch the new nitride video and it also helps with my mood if I am ever felling down in life or life just isn’t going well I watch a nitride video and it is like the real world is on pause while I’m watching and all the depression goes away for a short while
This guy is very right about what he is saying, you guys still make relateable content, when a new video drops I watch it and I instantly get motivated to get in to my garage, clean up some more, fix a bit of my car, save up for my engine rebuild etc, you guys show that it's possible without a 20k budget. And I love that, for me personally, that's makes you the best channel to watch. I hope you guys will keep this up, and keep the content relatable :)
the videos with these interviews maaan!!! you never get a content wrong, you are fantastic guys🔥❤️ and yes we guys think everyone can agree we take you as an example both in style and in life👍🏻
I 100% agree with what Aaron said. Using myself as an example are such a huge inspiration to me. Im super young, but I hope in the future I'll have the opportunity to get a car and drift it, and every new video I look forward to, and again take such inspiration from these videos. You motivate my passion for cars, especially for drift culture; you guys are such huge role models for me. Keep doing what your doing.
True story - Aaron is 100% right. Influencers give their audience how to live, what qualitys should have, giving ideas how to live/deal with something. I watch u guys for a while and You got brilliant vibes! But what you showing here is what people will do because they see - look, they got followers, subscribers, people love them, I need do same to be cool 😎 That's how it works. So what u showing about drifting is what people will follow. Next level, carswag for me shows what drifting and community is about. Good stylish car, not gruz barely holding. Stupid reps war? That's another subject. Peace guys, and see u sometime on track.
I wholehearteedly agree with Aaron. I started watching you guys when I was 16 and im 20 now. you guys have inspired me to get off my ass and actually start learning more about cars, how they function, how to repair, and modify them. I originally found you guys when you first got and started modifying Kevin. And you guys doing something I had never seen before gave me the inspiration so start thinking of ideas that i'd want to do with american vehicles. And he's right in all acounts, you guys have influenced the cars i like, the drivetrains i want to work on, and just the idea of building cool cars from the ground up. So please just keep being you guys and continue doing what y'all are doing and you guys continue to grow beyond our imaginations
🤘Follow this Dude, he's the drift daddy in the US looking after drifters. Constantly brings gold advice and deserves way bigger platform. I've had him in the "Do Drifters Care?" mental health awareness in the drift community video.
ive been a subscriber for quite along time as i have mutal friends with gee reckless tribe and cam with the engraved crown but only really stated watching when you built kevin. about what aaron said regarding you guys shaping what we find cool i think hes very right , i own and drive a 330 e46 and although its great car i always find my self hating it and wanting something with more cool points (old and japanese ) and in part because of you guys no matter what car it is it has to be slammed on small wheels. but 10000% you guys really got me back into drifting and reignited my passion so thank you
You guys made me realise that everybody could work on their cars without all the fancy tools and equipment, and that everything can be done in a simple way so that it works. I have always stopped myself from doing something stupid on my car, because I was afraid I would mess something up, but when I'm seeing you cutting and spray painting everything, I am a lot more confident and open for crazy ideas. Since I started watching your channel, my whole perspective on cars has changed! You, Nightride inspire people that everything can be done! And please, please continue being so real and close to the viewer. Seeing people filming videos of just having genuine fun without making it up for the camera is so rare and makes me super happy actually seeing good *people on the internet*. I love you guys so much! ❤️
I found you guys as I was weighing up buying a Miata, saw your videos and thought it looked sick to drive one. Now I have a Miata I'm slowly trying to build into a drift car, hopefully fitting a welded diff to it in the new year. I liked how easy you guys made it to understand why you made the decisions you did with the build, the practicality of quick releasing bumpers and stuff for maintainence work, why you run certain gearboxes and drivetrains etc. For me personally what I'd like to see now is a walkthrough or something of how to drift, like when to clutch kick vs handbrake, maybe a talkthrough of an ebisu run to explain what your doing with your feet and why. I know it would be really tricky to do but I feel like you guys would make it a really fun and easy to understand video. I love you guys because you keep things simple, just changing wheels and welding the diff on a car to start drifting it and it really helps inspire others that it's possible to do these things without a huge budget
I would just like to say that because of you guy at nightride and also initial d I got my first manual drift car which was a BMW E46, I was so eager and motivated to learn that I actually bought the car not knowing how to drive a manual car and self teaching myself in a Walmart parking lot just to drive it home!!!! So in my opinion you guys are big inspiration!
I started watching them on yt since Kevin appeared, I thought the work they do on the cars was pretty cool, showing everything in their construction, the good, the bad and the situations I found that quite attractive to see, showing the reality of each job, not just showing the beauty of everything. We need more people like you, thank you for everything you do.
strongly agree with what Alan said honestly watching your guys youtube videos is one of the main reasons i’m still so in love with the idea of making a career out of drifting or just as an hobby, yall really push me to make the dream a reality 🤙🏽
Aaron said it perfectly, as a kid I would watch D1gp videos on UA-cam and the cars were unattainable for many, you guys definitely inspire me with my own content and i use it as motivation to get on with my own journey. The drift scene is the best scene in all of motorsports.
Good morning ppl of the internets! Aaron is one of the MOST knowledgeable in the sport. Take his words to heart and hold them dearly. When you think of UA-cam drifting three names come to mind. LZ, Jimmy Oakes and Nightride. You three channels are most definitely the voices of a generation for drifting. Look at the style Burst in the states with BMW’s… we’ve all went polish style whether it’s kitted with 3pc wheels or really low on OE wheels. All three channels carrying completely different vibes but all serving one goal, to further drifting. Keep the thought in your head but don’t let it shape the channel. Keep doing what Nightride does and continue to be true to who you guys are THAT my friends is what has made the world love you guys.
I'm french and a perfect example for me, it's the guy from the pdlv channel on YTB who has never done drifting in his life but after being in Poland he got himself a diesel drifting car because he only had his
sad to say, we definetly missed the peak of drifting. nobody (except for the government in some places) is stopping us from keeping the style alive, though.
Been watching you guys since the small garage. Finally next year i will be able to purchase my first drift car and finally practice what i really wanted to do since young age. The main inspiration was you guys. All the vids when you do the sketchy drifting in the snowy mountains. I just got the goosebumps all the time. I hope in some time I will able to drift with you guys. It would be a dream come true and a really big thank you for all the content. Love you guys. Keep up the hard work for us
He's definitely right about the influence you guys have on the new gen of drift-lovers and car enthusiasts, me personally, i was never essentially a car guy before I started watching your videos and now I'm looking forward to getting my first manual beater to drift and mess with next summer as a 19y/o uni student haha. I really look forward to your uploads every few days, and it really brightens my day. Thank you for all the inspiration and all the influence you guys have had on my life, I'd never be who I am without y'all. 🖖
He's not wrong, hell I'm 33 and never been that interested in cars but watching you guys and some other people, now I kinda want to get into it buy a bucket ass car and slide it around corners😂
What can I say, you inspire people, because of your videos I'm working towards getting my own driftcar here in Uruguay and then I'll have to leave the country to work on more cars. I just need a shitbox but a 320i here (which is what I'm aiming for, e36 or e46) is about 15-20k USD... Makes it literally impossible to play here, but I'll get it and leave the fucking country to pursue this dream life of drifting everywhere, what Aaron says about keeping it dynamic and not going to the same track every weekend. I feel that. I wanna do that, and it's because of you guys...
I think Aaron's right, you guys may have a huge influence. I was never really much into japanese cars but watching your channel made me love them a lot. And it's the same with the mods - I'm gonna modify my car in Nightride JDM inspired style regardless the car brand. Keep it up guys, I think you're doing it the best way possible!
I like you guys, as an old head. You guys often had low end builds that were practical, and have become the only drifting channel i watch. Also, you film beautifully. As a 40 year old, dude is right,. Ya'lls videos remind me of being in England watching bootleg Japanese Drift VHS tapes.
Aaron is the person that every youtuber that sits down and talks with him then leaves inspired to become better. Probably its the decades of experience
He's not wrong you guys are one of the soul reasons i push everyday to be successful so i can complete my car and push to be better driver. Help keep drifting alive and going for years on. You're videos are amazing and i look forward to watching more great videos. CHEERS
This channel change my mind, how i see the style of cars and start a love for drifting friends and crazy trips Im soo happy for al of you, one day i will visit Poland ❤
nightride didnt necessarily influence my style, but they definitely influenced my mindset on cars. the way yall throw things together and enjoy your cars is what i aspire to do
Sam, since you asked, I felt I would share my thoughts. I think it is an accurate assessment from Aaron concerning your impact on the drifting/car scene not just in Poland, but world-wide. I am in USA and I have literally seen every episode of Nightride - and I am not even a drifter. What sets Sam and Marek (Nightride) apart from the rest is your 1) authenticity and 2) respect. There has never been a point where I felt that Nightride is disrespecting anyone. Granted, you poke fun at Audi - but it is always in good spirits. 😁 You like what you like - and you don't care if anyone does not like what you are doing. You consistently encourage your audience to do the same - to build what they like - and not let the budget (big or small) deter the efforts of keeping it real and keeping it fun. Keep up the good work - and keep doing what you love. At the end of the day, if you are enjoying what you are doing - then you are doing it right. 😎
There is some truth in what aaron said. You guys do something unique something that has a lot of demand, but not that many "supplier". And even tho you do it mostly for fun, and probably wasn`t your intention to be one of the influencing figures in the world of drifting, you guys grew tremendously in the last couple of years, and probably will continue to do so. And i hope that it doesn`t make you afraid, it doesn`t make you anxious these new "responsabilites", you showed us that not even fame can change you, so im hoping that you will stay true to what nightride stands for in the eyes of these 950k people, to keep drifting affordable and fun, and i hope that it won`t be a burden for you guys to do so, because while we need the stuff you do, we also want that you can enjoy the whole process too. Love you guys, and wishing you a wonderful time in preparation in the upcoming holidays!❤
Aaron’s always had a good perspective on drifting and how to make it grow. The part about you guys being responsible for the shape of it by giving example to your followers is pretty much on point too. It’s obvious that with the growth of the channel you have more opportunities and you’re gonna make more and more crazy builds but what you have shown before and are showing to this point is that the most important aspect about this whole drifting thing(and cars in general) is to have fun with it with a bunch of friends. Doesn’t matter if it’s a 1.6 Miata or a rotary Lada 😅. Keep it up guys. You are living many people’s dream and you do it WELL. ❤
I get what Aaron is saying at the end of the video, but I think the main take away should be to keep it fun, keep it light, and keep trying to do something cool. It can be easy to get caught up in how people are going to perceive what you do, but the people we grew up admiring likely weren’t thinking about that, they were just trying to have fun doing something they enjoyed. I can respect what he’s saying about trying to push things forward too, even though he drives an LS S14…
I like that u guys show us that u can drift with budget type of cars also, i'm inspired to get myself into drifting after watching your videos and have saved some things from your videos to guide myself when i will get my RWD car, my fav vid is the 1uz s13 drifting in the woods.
I agree with Aaron, you guys do what you want and its inspiring. Youve been doing more fancy cars so maybe a budget build breakdown of how youd set up a first/ daily drift car would be cool. keep it up fellas
Very insightful and inspiring words. Been following for years and look forward to seeing videos. So much that my kids enjoy them too. Keep up the good work
I 100% agree with what Aaron said about influencers in the drift community have to be responsible for shaping the culture. I'm not quite familiar with drift culture in Europe but in US the drift culture is going towards sideshow. Majority of new drifters think drifting is just reckless and the point is to be as stupid as possible and do crazy dumb stuff. It's pretty terrible and will eventually destroy drift. Ratchet increase behavior is seen at a lot of drift events and that's why tracks don't allow if there's any more. And in US particularly UA-camrs don't do anything about it.
so here is my opinion about drifting in europe specifically: first of all i started drifting 2 years ago. First i was going for practice and getting my skills higher, now i go for style. The problem that i see especially in germany is, that there are no good tracks that you can drive your slammed car with style. Constantly stretched tyres popping off, ruining your expensive wheels. The tracks looks like it was made in ww2 and it feels that way. The german community is very unknowledged, no style and no personality tbh. I dont want to hate the germans, but thats what my observations are in comparison to poland. I would like to change that also in germany, but the constant regulations, higher prices and closing tracks dont make that even possible. We can do streeto, but bro - once the popo has you, youre done. I would love that the drifting scene in europe opens more to the public kinda. All the organisations and drift days/tracks are kinda "underground" making it almost unreachable for new people that doesnt have connections or the knowledge. I get it, the people dont want small events to be overfilled and keep them lowkey, but i would love that europe would open to all the drifters and maybe someone will do a organisation, that they will be organising all race tracks across europe and presenting it to the people or new members who want to get started but dont know where to reach. Sorry for my english and if somebody is even reading my ass speach - this is no hate to anybody, its my personal opinion and a cool idea, how we can make drifting more open for everybody.
wow that's super cool to know, thanks so much!
You should make videos
hello ppl on the internet
Hello
Dziendobry
Beep boop bip bop
Maybe one day i'll came to Poland to know you guys in person.
nightride got me into drifting. started watching your videos about a year ago, then went and bought an E36 318is coupe and started modifying it to be cooler. crashed it a few times but im having so much fun and that's what its about :) keep up the awesome videos love from Australia
WE
I believe a huge part of people watching you will never drift a proper car on a track, after all we are the broke guys that were pulling the handbrake on our old fwd 75hp parents car when we were younger, on some rainy day having just fun and laughing.
Bought my first car (316i compact :D), started to record some videos (I really enjoy doing those and I also don't really think that I would even try to record them if I hadn't seen your videos) and Iam just having a blast of a time every time I do anything related to cars :D Really hope that I am going to meet lots of amazing people, learn to drift, have some great adventures and make my dreams (wich were really influenced by you and I'm so glad for that) come true😅
So yea...
Hey Nightride Team, you probably wont be reading this anyways but imma write it anyways haha
I am a 21yo from the Canary Islands, Spain, here motorsport scene had its golden era from the 80s to the 00s.
No hay circuitos en Canarias? 🙁
My sunday ritual is complete now - coffee and Nightride's movie on TV. ❤
That's really all anyone can ask for and its awesome to see others have the same mentality we all feel so deeply about no matter where you are in the world
Aaron the fine wine of the drift scene lol the passion runs deep with this one !
Wow, what a dude! He's like the older uncle passig the baton on to you guys. For sure there's a responsibility there, but like others have said, you already have nailed what makes this whole world relatable to many others. Keep it up, we love your work!
Kinda like this guy now! Didn't know what to think of him before.
btw if y'all haven't seen Aarons videos I highly suggest watching more of them, he does a lot of these deep dive talks and they're pretty good.
Aaron is like American Dave Egan. Knowledge, passion and dedication to drifting in both is clear. Drift Masters without Dave won’t be the same
Been watching since the OG garage. Watching you and others like Jimmy have inspired me so much. I started building my car last year and was able to go drifting for the first time this year at 51.
Nailed it! This one was awesomely!
Nightride w niedziele to już normalnie rutyna a na dodatek odcinki są tak dobre że aż smutno się robi kiedy dobiegają końca.
I have been watching you guys for a while and you guys are the ones that got me so into cars I saw your guys videos and it motivates me to work on my rigs I look forward to the next nitride video as soon as I finish the newest one first thing Sunday morning I wake up and watch the new nitride video and it also helps with my mood if I am ever felling down in life or life just isn’t going well I watch a nitride video and it is like the real world is on pause while I’m watching and all the depression goes away for a short while
AAron Losey is such a good interviewer/interviewee. This is what I enjoy most seeing him in.
Wise Words, mądrego to miło posłuchać.
the videos with these interviews maaan!!! you never get a content wrong, you are fantastic guys🔥❤️
and yes we guys think everyone can agree we take you as an example both in style and in life👍🏻
Aaron saying you dress like you're in your 20s, and yet there he is dressed exactly the same 😂😂
His hoodie fits?
I 100% agree with what Aaron said. Using myself as an example are such a huge inspiration to me. Im super young, but I hope in the future I'll have the opportunity to get a car and drift it, and every new video I look forward to, and again take such inspiration from these videos. You motivate my passion for cars, especially for drift culture; you guys are such huge role models for me. Keep doing what your doing.
True story - Aaron is 100% right. Influencers give their audience how to live, what qualitys should have, giving ideas how to live/deal with something.
I watch u guys for a while and You got brilliant vibes! But what you showing here is what people will do because they see - look, they got followers, subscribers, people love them, I need do same to be cool 😎
That's how it works.
-Wakes up- Ah Lets Go, it’s time for “Classic NightRide Video” ❤
ive been a subscriber for quite along time as i have mutal friends with gee reckless tribe and cam with the engraved crown but only really stated watching when you built kevin. about what aaron said regarding you guys shaping what we find cool i think hes very right , i own and drive a 330 e46 and although its great car i always find my self hating it and wanting something with more cool points (old and japanese ) and in part because of you guys no matter what car it is it has to be slammed on small wheels. but 10000% you guys really got me back into drifting and reignited my passion so thank you
You guys made me realise that everybody could work on their cars without all the fancy tools and equipment, and that everything can be done in a simple way so that it works.
100% agree with what he said, ive always wanted to start drifting but when i started watching nightride, ive never wanted it more in my life
I found you guys as I was weighing up buying a Miata, saw your videos and thought it looked sick to drive one.
Thanks! Go check out Chelsea Denofa’s videos on how to drift!
@NIGHTRIDEPL cheers guys will do!!
We need garage content please
Come to Europe for Drift Masters,You gona see,how the drifting is changing 🔥
strongly agree with what Alan said honestly watching your guys youtube videos is one of the main reasons i’m still so in love with the idea of making a career out of drifting or just as an hobby, yall really push me to make the dream a reality 🤙🏽
Aaron said it perfectly, as a kid I would watch D1gp videos on UA-cam and the cars were unattainable for many, you guys definitely inspire me with my own content and i use it as motivation to get on with my own journey. The drift scene is the best scene in all of motorsports.
Support comment from Guam 🇬🇺
Always look for to Sunday for Nightride videos!
I would say don't stress it, do what feels right to you guys and do what you guys want to do. Keep drifting fun!
Aaron looking cinematic af 😅
Geez, this is one of the most inspirational people I’ve seen in a long time. Go get em Aaron!
Ya'lls videos remind me of being in England watching bootleg Japanese Drift VHS tapes.
awesome vid guys, Love the diversety of videos you are posting. The future of drifting is in your hands, but they are the right hands for the job.
CHEERS

Stoked to see this collab! Adam is a US Legend!
nightride didnt necessarily influence my style, but they definitely influenced my mindset on cars. the way yall throw things together and enjoy your cars is what i aspire to do
Perfect, I just made myself a coffee and NIGHTRIDE droped a new video !
Exactly what I needed to hear....keep it cheap simple and most importantly fun
Your videos and influence just enhances the culture even further keep going and we'll keep the car culture progressing
I cant wait to try drifting my Lawn mower this winter.
Drift week coming to PNW! Let’s goooo!!
Youve been doing more fancy cars so maybe a budget build breakdown of how youd set up a first/ daily drift car would be cool. keep it up fellas
watch the vids of the 1uz build
We have a drift league in Romania too, if u have time and serious though, we are more than happy to come here.
All the best Alex
10:51 the realest info dropped on nightride, for nightride and their audience ❤
What a man. Great interview.
Gonna buy a cressida soon can't wait to get it and also thanks for the great content it really makes the day
Of course you guys are influencing the new driftgen, but you’re doing it right so keep going!!🤘
Very insightful and inspiring words. Been following for years and look forward to seeing videos. So much that my kids enjoy them too. Keep up the good work
did the 1 series have a v10?
I 100% agree with what Aaron said about influencers in the drift community have to be responsible for shaping the culture. I'm not quite familiar with drift culture in Europe but in US the drift culture is going towards sideshow. Majority of new drifters think drifting is just reckless and the point is to be as stupid as possible and do crazy dumb stuff. It's pretty terrible and will eventually destroy drift. Ratchet increase behavior is seen at a lot of drift events and that's why tracks don't allow if there's any more. And in US particularly UA-camrs don't do anything about it.
so here is my opinion about drifting in europe specifically:
first of all i started drifting 2 years ago.
