  • In this presentation Dr Robert Haddad outlines the Biblical foundation for the Papacy and how the first Pope, St Peter, was central in the life of the early Church. Robert especially examines Matthew 16, Luke 22, John 21 and Acts 15 to establish the Papacy's foundation in Christ and draws from Patristic and historical evidence to prove that St Peter did live in Rome and that his successors were prevailed upon on many occasions to resolve important disputes in the Church. This function, among others, continues in the Papacy today.

Wayne pervérsion is everywhere for we are all sinners, what you know & don't know. If you can do a research on perversion of your church you will be surprised with how much you don't know ...but if non living things are asked of their research they speak heaps convincingly.

Certainly, Popes throughout centuries are persons of Catholic authority leadership as servants of JESUS CHRIST...leading ...Catholics Church.. people...on earth. Peter, do you love me more than others? Amen!! Celibacy is the Rock here for GOD alone. Anyone who lives for GOD in JESUS CHRIST till death regardless challenges ...is heavenly only in committing & abiding till death. That's why ROME is the seat of the Popes in the independent Vatican...to tell worldly Roman secular tyrannical authoriy that crucified JESUS CHIRST is MESSIANIC, the HOLY SPIRIT continues the WILL of JESUS on earth, the rest is irrelevant. Other words, the HOLY SPIRIT looks after Catholic Church to eternity regardless how evil our actions will be. Thank you Mr Robert. Praise GOD for intelligence!!!

He's important because he is that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God."

      Dear Search for Truth,
If what you say is correct then the Vatican must be the “Temple of God” and the Antichrist a false Pope or usurper. For there is no other “Temple of God” standing in Jerusalem and the Pope does not reside there. Furthermore, the Catholic Church does not and has never given to the Pope the title of "God." Nor has any Pope called himself "God." Sadly, what you say is patently non-sensical. Your search for truth is not over. Keep searching. God bless.

You are absolutely correct, that is only ONE of the many points of identity of anti-christ...ALL of the others are fulfilled in this system ALONE no other power fits all of the points of identity...this gentile version of what the jewish church was has done EXACTLY the same things for wich the jewish church was destroyed...the jewish church had 1,500 years to demonstrate what they would do with the franchise of the gospel,(1450 b.c. until 34 a.d. when their probation ran out...)& the gentile version,(538 a.d. by order of justinian until 1798 a.d.when general berthier pulled the pope from his throne is EXACTLY 1,260 prophetic years...the amount of time the scriptures said this blasphemous power would rule the world) the scriptures said she would have an "is not" phase,(1798-present,)& then would have a "yet is," phase when she regains the worlds support for a VERY SHORT time just before the end...she will be destroyed by the CREATOR at his appearing VERY soon...NEVER to rise again...

Jesus never built the church for himself. He built it for his followers and he made Peter the rock on which he would build that church

    • @jasonwolfe920
      @jasonwolfe920 5 років тому

The jewish leaders also laid claim to "patriarchal succession" but JESUS informed them that it wasn't genetic succession that entitled them to their claim, but rather spiritual/behavioural likeness to Abraham that determined their standing...it is the same with the claim to "papal succession" it is not claiming to be peters successor that establishes the authenticity of your claim, but spiritual/behavioural likeness to peter that cements that claim...& i'm afraid your system has NOT measured up to peter & his unswerving allegiance to CHRIST & his commands...but you are VERY MUCH unlike peter & have NO LIKENESS to him...therefore your CLAIM to being successors of peter your forebear FAILS MISERABLY...this system is almost a CARBON COPY of the religious leaders who slew the prophets, CHRIST & his disciples & became a HARLOT as jerusalem did before you...so that is why CHRIST says "come out of her my people!..."i will pray the ALMIGHTY helps you to see & understand before it is too late ...

Matthew 23:9 Says call NO man your FATHER upon the earth for only one is your FATHER, which is Heaven… Watch who you listen to. Always
Know your Bible.. And if it don’t line up get away from it!

    • @roberthaddad7850

Wanda, thanks for your comment. Please consider my reply:
Objection: “Why do Catholics call their priests ‘Father’ when the Bible clearly states ‘call no man your father on earth, for you have one father, who is in heaven’ (Mt 23:9)?”
The above quote from Matthew’s Gospel must be read in the context of the whole of chapter 23, in which Jesus denounces the pride and hypocrisy of the Scribes and Pharisees, the contrast between their words and their actions (v. 3), the heavy burdens they placed on the shoulders of the people without giving any assistance (v. 4) and their love to be seen and praised: “They do all their deeds to be seen by men; for they make their phylacteries broad and their fringes long, and they love the place of honor at feasts and the best seats in the synagogues, and salutations in the market places, and being called rabbi by men” (vv. 5-7).
Jesus used this hyperbole to provide a lesson in humility, exhorting his followers to realize that only the Heavenly Father is the principal Father, while all others simply partake, or reveal a part, of his Fatherhood. Those in positions of power or authority are not to lord it over others, imposing impossible burdens while seeking public recognition and praise. Jesus concluded his admonitions, saying, “whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted” (v.12).
A literal understanding of Jesus’ words would lead to an absurd conclusion, prohibiting us from calling our natural fathers “father,” while allowing us to call our mothers “mother.” Yet, such an interpretation would go against Scripture itself, where the Virgin Mary says to the Child Jesus, “And when they saw him they were astonished; and his mother said to him, ‘Son, why have you treated us so? Behold, your father and I have been looking for you anxiously’” (Lk 2:48). It would also prevent us from calling anyone “teacher” for Jesus warned equally against the use of this title as well: “But you are not to be called rabbi, for you have one teacher, and you are all brethren” (Mt 23:8).
St Paul confirms that there are various types of fatherhood, all of which are based on the Fatherhood of God: “For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every paternity in heaven and on earth is named” (Eph. 3:15). Abraham is acknowledged as the father of all who have faith in numerous passages, even in the New Law:
“And he said, ‘No, father Abraham; but if some one goes to them from the dead, they will repent’” (Lk 16:30).
“Your father Abraham rejoiced that he was to see my day; he saw it and was glad” (Jn 8:56).
“And Stephen said: ‘Brethren and fathers, hear me. The God of glory appeared to our father Abraham, when he was in Mesopotamia, before he lived in Haran’” (Acts 7:2).
“He received circumcision as a sign or seal of the righteousness which he had by faith while he was still uncircumcised. The purpose was to make him the father of all who believe without being circumcised and who thus have righteousness reckoned to them” (Rom. 4:11).
“Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he offered his son Isaac upon the altar?” (Js 2:21).
Jesus calls those who gave the Jews the practice of circumcision “the fathers”:
“Moses gave you circumcision (not that it is from Moses, but from the fathers), and you circumcise a man upon the Sabbath” (Jn 7:22).
The angel Gabriel calls King David “father”:
“He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Most High; and the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David” (Lk 1:32).
The Virgin Mary says that God spoke to “our fathers”:
“He has helped his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy, as he spoke to our fathers, to Abraham and to his posterity for ever” (Lk 1:54-55).
The Samaritan woman questions whether Jesus is greater than “our father” Jacob:
“Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well, and drank from it himself, and his sons, and his cattle?” (Jn 4:12).
The Acts of the Apostles records that the early Christians in their prayers likewise referred to King David as “our father”:
“… who by the mouth of our father David, your servant, said by the Holy Spirit, ‘Why did the Gentiles rage, and the peoples imagine vain things?’” (Acts 4:25).
St Paul addressed a crowd in Jerusalem as follows:
“Brethren and fathers, hear the defense which I now make before you” (Acts 22:1).
St Paul also applies the term “father” to himself, while on more than one occasion he writes to his own as his children:
“I do not write this to make you ashamed, but to admonish you as my beloved children. For though you have countless guides in Christ, you do not have many fathers. For I became your father in Christ Jesus through the gospel” (1 Cor. 4:14-15).
“Here for the third time I am ready to come to you. And I will not be a burden, for I seek not what is yours but you; for children ought not to lay up for their parents, but parents for their children” (2 Cor. 12:14).
“But Timothy’s worth you know, how as a son with a father he has served with me in the gospel” (Phil. 2:22).
“… or you know how, like a father with his children, we exhorted each one of you and encouraged you and charged you” (1 Thess. 2:11).
“To Timothy, my true child in the faith. Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father, and from Christ Jesus our Lord” (1 Tim. 1:2).
“To Titus my true child in a common faith: Grace and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Savior” (Tit. 1:4).
“I appeal to you for my child, Onesimus, whose father I have become in my imprisonment” (Phile. 1:10).
In similar vein do the other Apostles themselves write:
“She who is at Babylon, who is likewise chosen, sends you greetings; and so does my son Mark” (1 Pet. 5:13).
“I am writing to you, little children, because your sins are forgiven for his sake. I am writing to you, fathers, because you know him who is from the beginning. I am writing to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil one. I write to you, children, because you know the Father” (1 Jn 2:12-13).
From these verses, it is evident that the title “father” was used not with any sense of pride, but rather to engender tenderness and affection within spiritual relationships. The Catholic Church wishes her children to act in the same way when addressing those who partake in God’s Fatherhood through preaching the Gospel and sanctifying the faithful as “other Christs.”
      The Fathers
St Ignatius of Antioch, Letter to the Trallians 3, 1 (c. AD 110)
“Reverence them [the deacons] as Christ Jesus, of whose place they are the keepers, even as the bishop is the representative of the Father of all things, and the presbyters are the council of God, and assembly of the apostles of Christ.”

      St Irenaeus of Lyons, Against Heresies 4, 41, 2 (c. AD 180)
“He who has received the teaching from another’s mouth is called the son of his instructor, and he is called his father.”
St John Chrysostom, Homilies on the First Epistle to Timothy 6 (inter AD 392-397)
“… priests are the Fathers of all, it is their duty to attend to all their spiritual children, edifying them first by a holy life, and afterwards by salutary instructions.”
Pope St Gregory I the Great, Homilies on the Gospels 17 (c. AD 592)
“Priests are Patres Christianorum (the Fathers of Christians).”

The OFFICIAL title,(according to "our sunday visitor" a jesuit publication from 1914,)of the pope of rome is VICARIUS FILII DEI,(which means:the MAN who stands in the place of GOD,)the number/letter value in the gematria is =666...ITALIKA EKKLESIA,(italian church,)in greek is=666...LATEINOS,(latin speaking man or church,)also is=666 in greek language...GOD the ALMIGHTY CREATOR made sure there was MUCH evidence to support this view, because he knew there would be opposition to the declaration of truth ,so he sandbagged it a bit to make sure it was ABUNDANTLY obvious who this man/system is...the great apostasy of the latter times...

Yahweh is the name of a pagan god. Protestants are responsible for this false, blasphemous name being associated to the Holy, One, True God. Do the research.
