Yes. Two different personalities that make a good team. Chris is the” final-say “and Rob is the ultimate salesman with a big ability to get on with people. Important ingredients for a successful business. Mark
Hi rob and Chris you need to log into module 44 with a PIN code . Then you can reset basic settings which then you can learn the lock stops then the crash shut off fault code will clear when deleting the fault code. Ive filmed the process on my channel on a Volkswagen up and a Skoda Fabia hope this helps
Wow it is great to see you both beavering away on another project, it is surprising how many changes are made to the various models in order to try and get the right parts. I definitely reckon that Chris suits his "Flat Cap" whilst working in the Workshop. Great work as always Rob & Chris, I look forward to seeing the next episode of Salvage Rebuilds.
I agree it's so nice to see Chris giving us the low down on what he's doing and more confident as he should be he's a blooming genius also see he brought back a proper Yorkshire hat back on his recent holiday 😉and it suits him ...Great video again guys 👍
Rob I love this channel and I guess salvaging recent models is a double edged sword in the respect that when rebuilt they look almost brand new again, but adversely the newer they are the less parts are available from breakers and more have to be purchased further afield with the associated (often very frustrating!) waiting times. Either way, you boys are just magic. Live long and prosper 🖖
I was looking out for Chris at the NEC on Saturday but no luck. Did meet many of the other UA-cam car people though. It was a long day and did not get home until 11pm having left home at 5:50am. The engineering skills on display were amazing and it has given me a hankering to go back to my first love a classic Mark2 Jaguar. Not at the silly prices that they were achieving at the auction though.
I just new Chris was going to have it lol You guys work hard enough for your money , Its a. Bonus when something comes in and you guys can enjoy the fruits of your labour, Keep up the good work guys 👍👍
Amazing progress on this wee car.Just goes to show you how the wee bits of plastic trim can hold up the rebuild.Another cracking repair.well done Rob and Chris.👍🏻
I never miss an episode but I’m getting confused with all those Polo’s so I don’t know how you manage to remember what part for what car etc., that said you’re both doing a blooming good job!
Great work you two, the Polo is looking near enough factory fresh once more! And the video quality from the new i-Phone is excellent - quality content deserves a quality camera!
So nearly there with this one, fellas. Really looking forward to you crunching the numbers and seeing what it cost you to put back together. Way to go!
Autel, That's the reason i stopped workin on cars a while back. Hav'n a play didn't work in my case . I got sent on a 3 day course and packed it in 2 days after that. There is millions of options in one of those gizmos. Todays cars are full of sensors ,cams, and other stuff.. i decided life was too short to play around with those things. Btw it wasn't specifically Autell it was various readers and stuff. Anyways i digress. Thanks for the vid keep up the good work. Finally. Chris the hat is cute. We huve a Scottish version of that it's called a "Toorie" it is a flat cap wae a POM POM on the top. Really smart it is too.👍
Hats off to Chris, my beanie always comes out at this time of year too, my mates know when the clocks change as to whether I'm wearing it or not!! Polo is coming along very nicely.
Nice neat clean little car. Just took a bumper cover apart from a Hyundai no screws just clips and it was held together better that way. You could tell because I was rolling on the ground trying to get the grill out. Thanks for sharing gentlemen.
Wow what a difference . All coming together. Takes me back a few years when I had a black polo in 2007. 43K for a new Golf doesn't surprise me . Just picked up a 1 year old X1 for not much less near you guys in Southend.
As a card-carrying pedant, I must point out that 'nipped in the bud' really means that you stopped (something) immediately so that it did not become a worse problem! The phrase you are looking for is 'wrapped up'!! Love the videos, really!!
It's amazing how much effort you both put into these videos, considering there's other uk/USA channels that are slating you 2 for the brilliant work that you both do on the cars and your videos, keep up the good work and let the haters hate!
The security access is a code you have to enter beforehand on the diagnostic tool to do any Basic settings on a VAG all the modules have different access codes I’m pretty sure Autel has them already for each module. You enter the access code in the security access button first and then do the basic settings which you require.
Maybe Rob you can watch a few videos on how to use your newly purchased wireless microphones, seeing how we still have to raise the volume when Chris says anything. There are plenty of videos available on UA-cam 😁
Just a quick one for you, check inside the coolant tank for a silica bag, if they burst they block raciators and heater matrix. Just remove them we take them out all the time in the garage
This is an absolute mare on these cars. I had this problem with a 2017 polo gti. After several attempts with guys who know what they're doing with top diagnostic tools no joy. Eventually after pulling my hair out, I found a local top bloke who used a ROSS TECH scanner and still had to take the lead off the battery and "Flash" the car after he'd deleted the code. Really tough one this guys but it can be done. All the best, love your show.
Your Polo problem is rapidly improving : you'll be ready to bid on another one by the New Year ! Big difference under the bonnet between the '17 and '18 models !
It's looking fantastic will be a very nice car Chris looking sharp in his flat cap I was going to say hope your both keeping warm now the corder weather has arrived great content as always 👍👍👍
Nice video guy's I was going to ask about the cap thinking it was a Yorkshire thing. Looks cool and dapper Chris. Enjoyed the content look forward to Wednesday. 👍👍👍👍👍
I was looking for a Viva HB wing on ebay before, & tripped over a Viva HA/B/C/Chevette 1.1/1.2/1.3 turbocharger kit in the recommended items, obviously I thought of Chris! He could make a turbocharged hot rod HA out of the parts Viva! 😁
Interesting to see the crash data, and the fact you can see the speed when the accident happened. I would of thought this information is invaluable to the investigators in a lot of cases. Great work as always Gents. 👍
in serious cases, the coppers can use that evidence in court, crash data been around 10yrs +. worth checking this [ + the embedded real mileage] when buying a car
Nice to see Chris getting more confident and more involved on camera, would be good to see him do a intro one day 😊, also what’s happened to the classic Range Rover ?
Another step closer to getting that one done 🙂 it's really come on since you got it and you really won't know it was like a sardine tin on that front corner 😅 look forward to the next vid 👍🏻
Well done both it is looking like a nice car and has come together very well I’ve had the same issue with my Volkswagen and battery voltage as soon as voltage was more than 12.3 it was fine! Looking forward to the next video!
if you chuck the battery charger on, on its lowest setting, that will keep the volts up i think you go all the way back to the start on the diagnostics, special functions or something similar, the good stuff usually hides in there can u not chuck a bit matt black paint in that light, swill it around, will go black then keep up the good work chaps
Its amazing how much more confident Chris is on camera compared to a couple of years ago! What a great team you guys are,
I think its from when he was a dump on the back of that van lol
@@matthewfairbrass2166 hahaha
Great video guys . The weather seems quite good too. Nothing but rain and storms here in Oz.
Totally agree.

Much respect to Chris with his tribute to wearing delboy hat surprised he wasn't calling you rodders Rob. Absolute quality content chap's.
This build is looking beautiful look at how clean that paint job came out 😍
Another great video by Chris & Rob,
Please do me a favour Rob, please get Chris to make you a spare wheel carrier for your truck.
Hi rob and Chris you need to log into module 44 with a PIN code . The wireless mics make a great difference. Well done guys, always moving forward.
Glad to see or should I say hear you've got a minute and had a go with the microphones. Nice to see you getting all these Polo's moving forward 👍.

Another great video from Rob the Holiday and Chris the Hat.😁😁
Coming along nicely but shocked at the price of a new one.
Cheers, Bob
Liked this one very much, Rob. Thanks.
I agree it's so nice to see Chris giving us the low down on what he's doing and more confident as he should be he's a blooming genius also see he brought back a proper Yorkshire hat back on his recent holiday 😉and it suits him ...Great video again guys 👍
He’s had the hat years
@@sruk haha I didn't wait till the end of the video to comment...Great stuff looking forward to the three wheeler as well 👍
Love the cap Chris 👍 great video on diagnostics 👍😎
I'm glad you said about the price of the new Golf, Rob! I'm not the only one that thinks the price of new cars is absolutely ridiculous!
Nice to see peaky blinders have a new cast member🤔🤣Shame you couldn't finish the polo in this one but hopefully one more and we'll see it 💯 👍
Amazing work and looks top quality as always. Thanks for sharing this with us take care
Taking shape. Thanks for the film. Always enjoy your content
