About: I spent over a week wearing the Yeezy Pod Shoe! I ran in them, too a road trip, styled & cleaned them all to see what they're really like to live with! Some elements are amazing like the biggest pro, them being just $20 & the fact that they're literally socks so they are super comfortable. There is also negatives, like trying to style them & wearing them in different weather conditions. But for the price these might be a solid option! - Навчання та стиль

@@NoutG agree the portability of the pods is really cool, a shoe that fits in your pocket essentially. Even the balenciaga speed trainer doesn't do that.

I've heard zero people covering the fact u can spray these with waterproof spray or repel spray and it would def make them a lot more resistant to water and getting dirty. Pretty easy to do as well but i feel they should have made the bottom of the sock out of a different materials from the upper so u would have some resistance to water like maybe have a thin layer goretex or some sorta water resistant clothing . Also think the foam pads could be improved as well and should be made into a 8 shape to give more rebound and also cover the middle of the shoe where it has that gap.
You can do that to protect the fabric, but it reduces the breathability of the shoe. I only put protective coating on my leather shoes like Nike dunks or Jordans while keeping flynit shoes original.
goretex is an expensive material, definitely couldve ended up bumping this product to 70 bucks
@@ran97396 i do the complete opposite and never had a problem and protective spray was made for fabric style sneakers like mesh or suede and nubuck style sneakers that stain very easily. Full grain Leather doesn't need that beside mink oil. Which also protects leather sneakers from water and moisture. Also protective spray comes off leather sneakers way faster as well. Since it doesnt soak into the fabric.

You can also thin out silicone, and soak them in there, then let it dry for a better result. Would last even longer, and probably allow breathability if the thinned silicone is the right consistency (is fluid as water).
Regarding the running in them. I could not help but notice that you were heel striking which is the incorrect way to run. The correct way is to land on the balls of your feet and midfoot. The shock is absorbed by your leg muscles and not by your skeleton.
The regular running shoes are padded because most people need to cushion their feet due to bad form.
The top of the range runners designed for marathon runners have the carbon plate to keep them on their midfoot and propel them forwards over such a long distance.
Track shoes have almost no padding and the spikes are located under the midfoot because that's where you are landing with correct form.

Heel-striking isn't "wrong" it's just a different way to run.

@@Rialagma It's not natural. It is slower and can cause pain and injuries. I found that certain running shoes force you to heel strike which means they are not good for running.

5:42 i think that negative point cancels out with the reason behind being barefoot when lifting/training. extra cushion no making your feet muscles do what its supposed to, over time your feet will strengthen up

I agree. I thought of the same thing when I was watching. You wont be able to run long with pods, but it will actually help grow the foot muscle which the humans are to have even if there arents shoes but still be able to run.
yes but ultimately your joints are what takes the impact from running in shoes like these, yes
your foot strength will develop but the impact on your joints will remain the same and it can become damaging

what laundry settings do you reccomend for the pods
i bought these just to use them for the airports, quick travel back and forth and i’m satisfied, that’s all i’ll really use these for, light travels, so all these negatives would be pretty scarce for me at least
While I think they do not fit well with my baggy jeans / trousers, I do think they might pair up well with more minimalistic looks. I really believe this is something we miss here because we focus on classic streetwear brands and their silhouettes, while this pair probably looks better with slimmer outfits, for a more casual look.
I do spend a lot of time in the UK and aware of the issues you mentioned (rain mainly). I still think that in other location it might be more practical

Ye said they will make new versions of pods in the future to improve the design and shortcomings, it'd make them 10x more usable if they were waterproof, so I'm hoping this will be one of the improvements

Ive worn house shoes for awhile now, I also like wearing them in hotels when I travel. So it’s nice that it’s 20 dollars and will fit in the corner of my suitcase and not take up much room.

I think they'd be amazing styled with drapey, more rick owens type stuff. Like, some black sweatshorts with a raw edge and an oversized black hoody, might look really clean.
It's a great slipper / indoor shoe, a great casual friday kind of vibe. A great thing to pop in your backpack to wear at the office.

I agree the biggest plus is that the pods are $20. They are more of a disrupter to the shoe industry than anything else we may see different designs moving forward. We are paying way too much for shoes that are made at like 1/10 the cost. I ordered my pair and will see if I have a similar review
This is a great minimalist shoe. Ima feel like a ninja in these. Not to say the ninja fits gunne be hard.

It’s a great idea for a travel shoe, if ur going on vacay or doing some activity, and need backup shoes of any sort without taking up space, for $20 it’s really not bad at all, but it’s definitely not a main everyday type of shoe

It is actually great for college. They are comfortable like a sock and you don't do much of a training there + it's cheap. (W for me)
