“That spoony is lucky Titus isn’t here” 😂 I don’t need to shoot anything but fat drake mallards on that hunt. I was laughing at how 30 min into the hunt you were already talking about shooting a ruddy Duck 😂
That was a great one! Took a break from work to watch and it sounds weird, but watching it brought me relaxation and focus to finish the day. And also Georgie ❤️! What a great little gal!
Great Hunt Elliott! Have owned, trained and hunted with Chocolate labs since the late 80's and have experienced the agony and frustration of a dog injury to the the cranial cruciate (human equivalent is the ACL)ligament in 2 of those dogs. The surgery is very expensive, the rehab is long BUT both of those dogs healed and hunted full speed ahead for many years after their surgery. For a big , active dog with a blown cranial cruciate ligament the tibial plateau leveling surgery is the way to go IMO. Hope Phil has great success getting his pup healthy and has many great experiences together.
Hey greybeard, if you make it up to Minnesota, let’s pull the h12’s and I’ll lead you on the best wood duck hunt of your life 😜- jk’s love both you and duckguns. It’s so awsome seeing your setup after hearing you talk about it in videos, and the sweet girl Georgie
Eliot, I hunted Chyenne Bottoms earlier this year and killed 8 different species of ducks. One of them was a Ruddy. First one I've killed in many years. This season has been absolutely awesome!
I am so grateful for you Elliott and everyone who is being so generous. It is quite humbling to receive and not be the giver. May the Lord bless you richly. Thank you for caring.
I couldn't agree more on the weather, I love a gloomy ducky day. Though my FDH stats do actually indicate I've had more success on clear and cold days 🤷♂️
Thanks Thomas, I couldn’t be happier with how George is doing. Yeah I really hope that we can put a dent in that bill for Phillip man I can’t imagine how much that must hurt to see your little puppy I’ll limping around need surgery
Another great video, thanks. However I highly recommend to your friend to simply get another dog instead of having his dog go through another vet who will push, like most vets todo as many multiple expensive operations as possible. I have owned over the years many labs, mainly one or two black labs at the same time and I never took them a to vet, NEVER, just because I don’t believe in vets and doctors. My dogs never got any shots and they were NEVER SICK. And I always fed them with the cheapest dry dog food I could find and I always gave them all meal scraps from cooked chicken, goose, cranes, ducks, deer, racoon, fish, etc., and they NEVER had any problems with that, NEVER! Maybe this is what kept them healthy! And they always stayed outside and never wore a little fancy neoprene vest and they were always motivated and excited to go hunting even when it was -20oc and when they had to go through freezing water and ice and they all did that until they died and they all died over 16 years old. I have known so many people (family members, friends, relatives and hunters that I met while hunting who told me they always took their dog to the vet at the slightest problem and year after year they were paying hundreds, thousands and even tens of thousands of dollars in vet bills to keep their dogs alive!?! When you start going to a vet,, you never stop, they convince you that your dog need to have that shot, that latest vaccine, this X-ray, that small and then that big operation, etc., etc., and they never tell you just like family doctors, what to do to make sure your dog stays healthy, and out of their office… because they would not get rich if they did. Now I have become softer and I keep my new black lab in the house and maybe she won’t be as resistant and in good health as all my other dogs that I always kept outside, we will see, but I think that spending days and nights outside in the fresh air during all seasons including when it is -45oc or lower really reinforce their immune system and help them stay healthy and die of old age without being sick all their lives like most « Vet » dogs we see around today. Just my opinion but if your dog has a really serious health problem, do your dog and yourself a huge favour and simply put it down using your 22. He won’t suffer at all and then go buy a new beautiful pup to forget your other dog and life will continue…
Great hunt. Looking forward to south opener here in Texas. Going to make sure all my buddies are more shot selective after your podcast on wounding rates. That’d be a great message to spread at DU banquets if you could find a way to get that information out to more hunters!
You should come out to Oregon or Washington our season starts in October and ends January 31st our duck limit is 7 ducks all can be mallards two can be hens we also have awesome sea duck hunting for harlequins, long tails and scooters
Elliott you are having a single man hunt like i would love to be able to do down here in Florida. We just don't have migrating greenheads like that. Most green heads we shoot come from the city of Orlando where i live and a trying to mate with our mottled mallards which we dont want because then it makes hybrids and diminishes our mottle population. Great hunt great video footage and a very wise decision to stick it out. Wish i could experience this hunt with ya even if i just could have been behind the 🎥. Biggest Florida fan David Kilroy. I have always done my best hunts on gray overcast days or were the fog lifted about 20 mins before legal shooting time, or if it poured rain for an hour or two between 4 and 6 am the morning of my hunt. My poor 22 yr old son at about the age between 4 and 8 has sat a many morning under dad and my rain poncho waiting for the rain to stop and literally shot our limit in 20 to 30 mins.
Another great video brother.... Man that is a bummer about Phil's pup... Donation sent.... I would lose my mind if anything happened to Remi. Heading out tomorrow for a hunt on a new lake in the H12......
Great hunt!!! I always enjoy your videos!! Here in indiana we don't have the luxury of the mallard only thing! Lol You have to get what you get!!! Congrats on Georgie!! You got a good one there for sure!!
Is this a WMA? I’m just eager to learn some new ground. I’m moving to Missouri this summer because of my dads work I’m 17 and would like to be able to find some new public ground to get on some ducks. Doesn’t matter if it’s in Missouri or Kansas wherever. If anybody could tell me some places to check out it would be very appreciated. Also great quality content!
Amen brother God is good all the time. Love hunting this great land knew there was something different about you let our lights shine. And smack all the ducks we can
I liked all the go pro footage, but I couldn't really figure out where you were sitting. And I know you're selective with your shots so how far was the spinner from your layout?
I know there are some bone chips loose in her knee. His vet said those could be scoped and cleaned out and the meniscus tear shaved off. Then he said, she would probably need a tight-rope or TPLO surgery to stabilize the knee. KSU will have there own diagnosis on that and may only have to do one surgery to accomplish the work of both. There is the fact that KSU is cutting edge and may go a whole different direction.
@@FreelanceDuckHunting Elliott: best to go with KSU. They have board-surgeons there and typically one surgery will be necessary. Plus: fees tend to be less at a teaching facility. Can't stress the importance of a board-certified orthopedic surgeon. God bless.

Hey ruddys are my favorite there just cool little birds 😂 taste good to
What a genuine channel, I love it.
It’s pretty awesome to hear a pray before a duck hunt on UA-cam. Me and my buddies do the same.
Congrats on a great hunt and thank you for sharing your faith. We have started many hunts with a prayer. Great way to start a hunt.
That was a great one! Took a break from work to watch and it sounds weird, but watching it brought me relaxation and focus to finish the day.

Georgie has been doing fantastic on the past hunts. She is doing amazing
Great solo hunt! I'm starting to like those Kayak's more and more.

I'd go on a good ole woody hunt if I had the chance. :) thanks for watching
Best part of the video was the tearing noise. Played it to my wife and she said oh it’s an aeroplane ❤️
Love the prayer and blessing
Love the GoFundMe, I couldn’t hear that and not donate! Heck of a shoot, Georgie killed it once again!

Great hunt. There should be more to come as winter has hit the north early this year. Just curious what make and model of kayak do you use?

@@samwilkes5427 between the H12 and the Northern Flight blind it's totally changed my hunting. The ease of hiding is incredible and comfortable.

Best duck decoy made: fresh cup of coffee!
Good stuff!
Can you do a video on ID.ing ducks as there flying.. this would help me out alot.
i waited on the mallards this morning, too.. there wasn't much movement here, as well.
Great hunt & patience letting your birds decoy! Can you tell me what the brand of blind you have on your kayak please?
It's the red head blind attachment
Thank you!
Great hunt!! What blind are you using for the Yak??
Northern Flight
Nice hunt man

Check the state websites and go scout.
Jealous of the man bird mallard limit. Only allowed 2 in NC. Can’t wait for my trip to Kansas in December.
excellent hunt!
How you make that behind your head for Georgie the blind?

Cloudy days up north clear days down south

16.05 the sound every duck hunter knows.
New subscriber- great program
I liked all the go pro footage, but I couldn't really figure out where you were sitting. And I know you're selective with your shots so how far was the spinner from your layout?
Spinner was about 15. Kills were 20-30. The double might have been 35.
What program was that that you used to show your hunting stats?
Search App Store hunt stats or web freelancehuntstats.com
That's quite the headlight! Is it heavy? Would you recommend it?
Not a head light. Odepro kl52
Thats a dream of mine to kill an all drake mallard limit! U sure are blessed!!
God I hope it stays that way good luck
You're growing on me.
Does Phil have a PayPal or Venmo account? I think GFM takes a percentage sometimes and I’d like all my donation to go to Phil and the pup.
Thank you Jeffrey, my PayPal account is at philip.boyles1@gmail.com
I would have definitely shot those shovelers, I shoot all teal I can to, you never know when a Cinnamon is going to be with the other ones.
I'll stick with the 5 mallards and 1 pintail limit. I'll leave all the shovelers to you.
I can’t believe you guys can shoot 5 I thought that it was 4 mallards everywhere but great video and hunt
Yep, central Flyway is 5
Pacific is 7..not trying to rub it in, we have alot of negatives out West here, that is one benefit.
Atlantic flyway it’s only 2 now.
We can shoot 7 with only 2 being hens here in Utah, crazy how different it is from flyway to flyway!
@@greatbasinduckboats3177 nice. We don’t have a good population of them on ours hence the low limit
Amen 🙏
What banded jacket are you wearing in this video?
Can someone explain why the mallard limit differs by state? We can only kill 4 mallards in Ark and MS
I don't think it its state to state as much as it is flyway to flyway.
Just starting out kayak hunting. How do you get 3 dozen decoys and a dog out to your spot?
Pull a sled
8:54 mark- rapid eye and head movment reminds me of a crack addict. We can all admit to the quack addict sensation of this sport.
awesome 👍👍👍

Berretta Outlander A300
I could see gorgie seeing them red heads before they gave it up
What kinda yak do you have wondering if that blind would work for my ascend h12 yak?
It’s an ascend H12
So that blind works good for it you think you sit in there enough when you close the doors
