- Matt is out for a solo duck hunt with his 28 gauge as a big cold front moves across the area. As soon as he is set up, he is covered up in ducks. Everything from pintail, mallards, wigeon, teal, and much more flies by his spread. It was an awesome morning just seeing all the ducks but Matt was able to bag some as well. This is what duck hunting is all about!

Had that happen to me this weekend sat and sun. 1-2 mins before shooting Saturday about 8 mallards at 10 yards and Sunday about 6 canvasbacks. I know 1-2 mins aint much but its the principle of the thing. Almost just watched the sunrise on sun without setting up because I got out late and there were guys everywhere. Ended up grouping up with a dude and his 3 young kids who were also late and hunting only 30 yards from our landing. One of the kids shot his first duck and man was it a fun day. Keep up the good work Matt. We love what you do.

You run an awesome channel man, and I owe a lot of my success this season to you. I lost my uncle last year before our duck season, and he was my mentor. Last season I took his 14 year old son and my girlfriend quite a bit, but with my lack of experience, my girlfriend killed our only bird all season. I did a lot of research over the offseason, and tried to simplify my approach after seeing some of your simple set ups. So far this season in 5 hunts on highly pressured public, me and my cousin have managed 9 ducks including two drake pintails, and 1 goose. So I thank you for your sometimes simplistic approach and great quality videos, and good luck this season.

It was a big tease for the first light of the day, holding off the birds, keeping yourself under extreme control. Most hunters don’t have that lol.
