I owned this on vinyl from the minute it arrived in Boston. I saw Wiseblood in like 1987, Foetus in 1986 twice..one time I called information and got Lydia Lunch's phone number and cold-called her. She was SO NICE!! Jim was out, but she put me on the guest list at The Ratskellar and I met him afters. Pretty fucking cool. NEVER FORGET. I still got his Saratoga Springs bottle he threw!

Rather the track needs another million listens and the video for the B-side ("Death Rape 2000") needs another million views (where they display all the Foetus covers, labels and concert posters). But this track is the jam for sure. If you can find the 12", that's the shit.
Thirlwell lifted extensive from both Stravinsky (the orchestra stabs are from The Firebird Suite) and Jim Morrison for this track, coupled with a cocktail of too many drugs and relentless banging on Al Jourgenson’s Fairlight CMI II, and here we have it.
I got this on release, and it came with a comic entitled 'Autobutcher'. Incredible track, though. Loud as hell, and yet you can hear every twisted word. Superb.
Think the comic itself was called Nyak Nyak (issue 8?) but yeah, think one of the strips was Autobutcher. Heard it on John Peel, bought the 12 and played it 'til it was see-through.
I bought all the vinyl. Boxed set/ . Got the Tshirts and all... love the music but met the chap with Lydia before a gig at Heaven back in the day and he wasn't very nice to a fan..... Still love the music
My first husband and i bought this maxi single in 1986 . We had about 6000 albums ( lp's ) , and when we got divorced the only thing we shared between us was our record collection , the rest of our things did not matter to us .

‘Fencing stolen goods’ 👍
This video needs at least a hundred more views.
This video needs 7 billion views. And all radio stations should play "Hole" 24/7. With some ads for Big Black and Shellac sprinkled in.
This is a video?

Keep your eyes on the road and your hands upon the wheel
Best song of the mid eighties

Total CLASSIC - Great Industrial
RIP Roli Mosimann
Best thing they did as Wiseblood but the Foetus ‘Hole’ album J.G.Thirlwell did just beats it for me.
I've thought this beautiful for thirty years.
I got this on release, and it came with a comic entitled 'Autobutcher'.

Was digging this tune as a German punkass in the 80’s
Makes me want to go out drunk driving
Brilliant
My first husband and i bought this maxi single in 1986 . We had about 6000 albums ( lp's ) , and when we got divorced the only thing we shared between us was our record collection , the rest of our things did not matter to us .

Transcends being put into a "Hole"!! Just utterly fab music...
that line is from the doors actually
Challenge: Name one record from 1985 that sounds remotley like this (or the b-side).
There was a guy "Clint Ruin" and a band "Scraping Foetus of the Wheel" that was doing very similar stuff, even before 1985 :)
Suicide. They stayed close to the source here. Also see Clint Ruin + Marc Almond Ghost Rider
@@aclager1 This is Clint Ruin aka Jim Foetus.
