My brother was diagnosed about 1.5 years ago, and because it got worse quickly he had to do surgery even though at the beginning it was not as severe. I only have myopia, but in the last 2 years even though my vision for worse, the doctor says it hasn't changed. So since keratoconus might be inherited and I rubbed my eyes a lot since I was a child, I went to 2 doctors and didn't find anything.
Did you do a corneal topography? Thats what one eye specialist did and diagnosed me with keratoconus. I was surprised how common it is for a condition not many people know about. And like Dr. Manning said in the video many patients spend a long time suffering before being diagnosed.
Hey did you get clear vision with scaler lenses and what about glare after wearing scaler lenses how much it is reduce can you please reply i am going to buy scaler so it will be really helpful
Yes I have been on scleral lenses now for 6 years. For my keratonconus, it has literally been a life saver. My vision is 20/20 and there is no discomfort or any issues. The biggest drawback is the cost- my understanding is that there are not many companies who make scleral lenses for it is super expensive. I would get vision insurance for this reason before getting scleral lenses.

May I suggest more videos on exercise physiology for clinical populations, please?
Could not find doctor's info.

Hey Doc, was your prescription ramping quickly when you noticed something was wrong? Like was your nearsigthness betting worse rapidly?
Yeah I kept on noticing my vision was blurry and at night I started to see the 'halo' around lights typical with astigmatism
Dr. Yo. Can I ask how will your vision be at 60-70 years old? Will you be able to watch TV like a normal person (with lenses on ofc)?
I hope I can. There is collagen cross linking one can get to strengthen the cornea and prevent further pathology

You are not facing any double vision with scaler lenses ?
@@pratikshanigade-s8j - no. Its the only lens that has ever worked for my keratoconus
Can my vision be improved if I have done cross linking? How Long it’s gonna take?
Cross linking stabilizes the collagen to prevent further progression of the disease.
