I've done 3000 miles on this kit commuting to work. Absolutely excellent with a 52v 20ah battery and climbs any hill.

@@djkenny1202 1000. It's extremely reliable these are probably the best motors for reliability there are no moving parts.

What brand battery did you go with?

@@zangl2955 got it from electroncycles in the UK. No idea about USA vendors as I don't live there lol. Electron sell 52v 21ah, Samsung cells with 50amp BMS for about £500. I'm up to 6500 miles on the same kit since my original comment btw.

@@djkenny1202 1000w rated rear hub direct drive motor. Paired with 40amp controller so I'm actually running about 2000w of power with a topped up battery.

No it will not, maybe for a couple hours but then the motor will fry and maybe the controller has a voltage protector

Be warned that NO‌ connection instructions or support phone number is available if you will not be doing an exact step by step installation with all their parts. Find a brand that will be there for your troubles. Like many Chinese companies they want your money with no support.

If you want support, buy from a bike shop. If you want diy, you diy. Simple.

@@Billy-burner What an asiinie reply.. When you go to buy a pc or any other large electronics item you wxpect to get the connections diagram, general instructions suuport phone etc. Think of the hundreds of bikes coming from China with no English instructions. It does not smack of honorable business dealings. I've had another other kits that will provide all the support you need. Now there is rationale for the increased price one might want to pay. $200.00 plus paperweight serves no purpose.

@@medusa569 tbh I've built plenty of stuff including computers, and I can't recall ever using instructions in my life. Instructions are for 'special' people.
