I remember watching this live . I was at home doing laundry . Telling myself when I get older , I'm going to party 🥳like that st those MTV party's .. now I'm Turing 35 and trying to figure out how to build a time machine to go back to those days .
I can't believe so many people say Fred is not a good vocalist. Sure, he's not great at melodic singing, but his dynamics are fantastic, and he's an underrated screamer imo.

It’s hard to believe now, but at one time MTV was actually about music and not un-reality shows. They could have a huge impact on a band making it or not. Bizkit caught the tail end of that era.
Final golden MTV era for music. It was always interesting coming from High School and tuning into TRL and seeing Limp Bizkit & Korn music videos along the likes of Backstreet Boys and Britney. 1997-2001 may have been the best era to see those 'heavier' bands on mainstream.

Yes it is a riff of Angel Of Death by Slayer and it's from the guitar riff of the Public Enemy song "Channel Zero". And the band M.O.P. used that riff for their song "Raise Hell"

Saw them at the 1999 KROQ Weenie roast. I had never heard of them before. They completely BLEW ME AWAY! They brought it! F'ing great show. One of the best concert events I've ever been to. Trash fight broke out in the middle of Blink 182's set. Blink's Mark Hoppus came out butt naked. Just sneakers and bass guitar. I had never heard of Kid rock either. Crowd went crazy for Kid rock. Kid rock sucked. I was not impressed at all. We were there to see Metallica and they were F'ing great. Metallica fans ruled the place! We were up on the lawn and between the acts people would stop and yell up and ask if you were here to see Red Hot Chili Peppers and you'd hear a couple people say " Ya Chili Peppers". Then they would say "Or are you here to see Metallica?" and the WHOLE PLACE would say MEEETTTTAAALLLLICCCCAAAA!! Was funny as hell. I like the peppers but no one stuck around for their set. We left after a couple of songs. Limp Bizkit was awesome! Instant fan. Went out the next day and bought 'Significant Other' CD. They were the best act next to Metallica. Saw them again the next year at the 2000 Weenie roast too.
Popular music was so much more aggressive back then..yet society as a whole seemed happier.
Social media didn't exist and cell phones was just starting to become a thing. That is what changed everything.
