Chocolate starfish is one of my favorite albums. I think LB are very original. Their drummer rocks as does Wes and the bassist. IMO no one else sounds like them. I’ve been a metal head since I was a kid growing up in the 80s with slayer and megadeth etc. LB are one of my favorite bands. They have some killer songs. Go watch Nookie at Woodstock. That was an amazing performance

I was at Woodstock 99 and experienced how awesome the show was. No one talks about Rage Against the Machine or Metallica that played after them. They don't suck.

There were many other bands who used turntables around this time, like Linkin Park, Slipknot and Incubus. It was also a time we had lot of rock/metal and hip hop crossover stuff, in more forms than just nu metal.

Audio was a little jarring though, sometimes too quiet, sometimes too loud. But overall this video was fun af, I'd definitely watch more deep dives into bands/genres!
Thank you for the kind words!! I’ve gotten a lot of slack for the audio; instead of matching the voiceover to a stable level i tracked the music TO the voiceover which is why there’s some sections that are really quiet. No clue why i did that lmao

How you gonna hate on N together now w/ method man!? This track alone brought the hip hop world into the nu metal genre even further and gained more hip hop crossed with rock fans which in turn brought the "Rollin Assult Raid" track with Redman, method man and DMX!

wonder if u keep the instrumentals, replace the singer AND ESPECIALLY the lyrics...the lyrics to me were the worst...like replace them with deep intelligent poetic lyrics like mudvayne had... i think it'd be decent to good.... i did dig some of the riffs, the intros, the breaks, the hypnotizing dj scratching parts of their songs from Chocolate starfish...cuz some of the songs were kind of fun..imagine is a talented vocalist was the frontman....HOLD ON by limp bizkit is a good song cuz of Scott Weiland's gorgeous vocals..perfect example

Bizkit wasn't responsible for Woodstock. Not at all. They're an easy scapegoat.
As a fan of them in high school, the band is talented, Fred is good at getting people energized but he's a horrible singer, rapper, and songwriter.

One of the best bands ever (including Fred). Coming from me, a classical guitarist, bossa nova paid musician, black metal-to-pop melomaniac. My opinion, they are hated by people, who heard 2-3 songs of theirs which sounds maybe a little "bratsy" and never bothered to listen to single album of theirs. Plus they were in conflict with eminem and that also set the tone for clueless faceless majority. It's like almost fashionable to hate them. It's like "I didn't read the book, but I condemn it" type of scenario. But it's OK to dislike LB or any other music, I always thought there's no such thing as factual bad music, there can be music not to one's taste
P.S. as for my favourite rock-ish bands my go to are Limp Bizkit, Led Zeppelin, Fear Factory, KoRn, Pink Floyd, Children of Bodom.

Saw them in concert twice (as openers) and both times Fred kept interrupting the show to talk shit to the crowd. Any band’s talent, or lack there of is revealed when playing live. They were terrible
Rap and rock/metal doesn't mix well at all. That's why metal fans think it sucks... cuz its not really singing. its rap, which isn't metal.
