Can you tell me what you think my chances are? I'm taking a gap year but taking a few college classes fall 2020 and spring 2021, but I'm doing early admission. In state Early admission All honors classes except for 5 overall APs SAT of 1430 but I'm retaking it for a more recent score Girl scouts 11 years National honors society 4 years Biodiversity club 1 year Volunteer at animal shelter Know French and Korean alongside English Can write a really good essay with my whole heart Unfortunately my class was extremely competitive and I only reached #21 out of my 510 student class I know I don't have a lot of extracurriculars but where I'm from doesn't supply those and I'm unable to play sports
While I can tell you if you will or won't get in, this is an overall great academic resume and I see lots of students on campus that are very similar to this!
Devin Street ok thank you! My biggest concern was really my class rank and lack of sports/extracurriculars because I haven't really had any leadership positions besides girl scouts.
Udita Pericharla I think having both would be nice but applying early is what increases your chances the most I think. (especially instate early applicants, where the acceptance rate is 48%)
Very helpful video! This might be a dumb question, but if you are not accepted to UNC after applying for early admission, can you resubmit your application for the regular deadline? Or will I have no time to do this?
Sadly no, the deadline will have already have passed for regular admissions. But I really stress applying early admissions, as you have a higher chance of getting accepted and getting into programs and scholarships
I don't know of anyone who went that didn't go to UNC or a higher rated school. But being in governor school doesn't meant everything. Like I know gs students who only got admissions to UNC. Meanwhile I didn't go and got fullride, honors, and assured admissions into the business school.
actually, the admission rate is around 9,000 (about 20%) but the enrolled rate is around 4,000
Yeah that was my bad. When I said it I was even a bit confused cause it sounded too low. But still a very competitive admission rate.
Step 1 : be instate
This helps a lot thank you!
You're welcome!
Thanks for making this! I'm most likely applying to UNC Chapel Hill this fall!

You can apply and be accepted without those scores because of covid right now.
