This is an unfair comparison. There is significant background light from the blinds partially open over the TCL which not only detracts from the TCL black levels but you can see white reflection on it. The colours will also be off due to the camera processing to compensate for the light over that side. In real life, the TCL black levels and contrast looks almost like OLED with next to no bloom.
I have the TCL, and it is good for the most part, but its gradient banding processing is abysmal. TCL produce their own panels, hence why it's cheap, but you pay for it with poor customer service.
Hi,i seen few reviews of these tvs and TCL has better black level and less blooming than samsung, thats my pick if i need a new tv in the future, great video✌️
Wow, pretty crazy how fast tv tech changes. I bought a LG in 2021 and I would have never thought to buy TCL and during the time didn’t compare to Samsung. I remember Vizio was coming up close but not quite to LG/samsung.
I have same situation LG and Samsung NOW tcl but for the larger TVs 98” tcl can’t beat that price!!! Its immersive picture quality is great 👍 not best but let’s see on the 98”qm8 tomorrow it will be delivered can’t wait !!
TCL 85c 805k user here - after approx 3 months of using this similar TV, I've had multiple issues with the software. Mainly problems displaying 24hz content with the built in apps (a problem I never experienced with a Samsung TV) and a number of other software bugs like always booting into 100% brightness regardless of the stored setting. My 805k had extremely poor out of the box colour that needed significant alteration inthe settings to look right. That said. The price is so much lower than an equivalent Samsung panel and the audio support is better than any of the main brand TVs I've used (Sony,Samsung, lg) - it plays almost every audio format i feed it through the optical out to my home cinema (aac,DTS,Dolby etc). This coupled with the Dolby vision and hdr10+ support make it a very good panel for watching movies on.
1- May we know if you suggest the next TCL T8B over the C class versions? 2- I hope if you put comparisons between Hisense and TCL like U7N vs C755 please
Samsung are very good, but TCL, and Hisense, are moving up the charts, to catch up with samsung and LG and dare I say Sony, at a much more wallet friendly price. I have the TCL C855, and I looked at the Samsung in the store, and found that if you feed the TCL, a good quality signal to begin with, then, the value in money terms is outstanding
I might be able to help you I, in Australia, bought the U8N, Hisense, it was great, but then I saw the TCL C855 in the shop, I like the black levels, and the blooming blooming is so faint, or not noticeable at all, and I like movies like horror /science fiction /which has as you know, very black details, I found it to be better than the Hisense, but not by much If the opportunity arises, see for yourself in a store, that's my take
I think their OLED prices are fine, but this range always seemed overpriced, But they market it well, probably more profit for stores selling them as more fat to share around
i have a TCL 65C855 and the picture quality is stunning and the blacks are nearly equal to my old LG C9 OLED but the sound quality isn't good so i use a sound bar
Hi there ,Be good if when you do these videos if you could get the best most accurate colours, so we can see,,, . Then make the video Cos in the top gun scene the Samsung has a white t,shirt that tom is wearing, ,and on the TCL it's not. , Just food for thought 👍
Google privacy statement is simple and short. Some of the others are up to 10 thousand pages long. Google can provide upgrades. But what about the TCL 3 year warranty. I always top that up with another 2 years extended. I have never had a tv last more than the 5 years and that's truly wonderful. I get a brand new model for just the cost of the warranty $200, every 3 or 4 years. You get 2 TCLs for the price of one of the others so I always have a back up while the service centre sweats over mine and if they both last, well that a bonus. sell one just before the 5 years is up. and thats the deposit on your next new TV. OH, just buy a good one in the first place they say. Nah... I have had em all. Its a lottery on the junkpile of E waste. They are all junk. Might as well be CHEAP junk. I love TCL for all the wrong reasons. L.o.L
Question is, how long can you keep the TV for until they don't function normally. I've had my Samsung for 14 years now and it's still kicking but the nit is around 200 now so can barely watch anything 😅
WHY THE HELL DO THESE TVS have all the hdmi ports ect in center of tv..with no way of getting to them if they are put on the wall...would be so easy to have them to one side of the tv near the edge...hate having to take my 55 inch off the wall to sort cables out..as wall is not strong enough to have a bracket that pulls out...my moan about tv done...come on tv manufactures take notice of the stone age problem of cable management 💯

I’ve got the 75” TCL C855……and I must say…it is absolutely mind blowing Tv….considering the price I paid for it here in Singapore for only $3099.
whats the difference by C755 model? i know specs, but i cant see antiglare screen diff. need user opinions.
I paid it (75" TCL C855) 1 490 euros (equal dollars) in paris 😉, i hope i will like it !!
@devrimboz4302 the antiglare is not very efficient.
Great review..thank you..can you compare tcl c755 vs tcl c855 please..
Is it worth it to upgrade from c755 to c855

Please if possible compare the TCL 855k Vs Hisense U7N
I might be able to help you

I just bought the Tc l75C89B (75C855) for 1490 euros, i'll receive it in 3 days. Hope i will like it ;-).
Can you review the Panasonic w95a? I hear it's better than these 2
Hi mate great review you should do more of these) i think samsung is ridiculously overpriced bang for buck certainly goes to tcl
I think their OLED prices are fine, but this range always seemed overpriced, But they market it well, probably more profit for stores selling them as more fat to share around
TCL color temp looks too warm, but still not sure the Samsung worth twice as much, for this close in performance I’ll get the tcl
What’s the movie picture mode on the tcl?
i have a TCL 65C855 and the picture quality is stunning and the blacks are nearly equal to my old LG C9 OLED but the sound quality isn't good so i use a sound bar
what about the 1080p normal satellite channels? you happy with the upscale performance?
and what about the view from sides?
You expect these flat panel TVs to produce good sound, that’s a physical impossibility
Why does your version of Top Gun Maverick have the horizontal black bars? On Paramount+ it switches between that and wide screen all the time.
I think I prefer the cool look on the Samsung the warm look has too much of a yellow look and not a good yellow either

That Samsung 55" in Finland now is about under 1000€ 😅👍
