Honestly Paul I am shocked by seeing a TCL tv beating a Samsung tv. Yes the Samsung sounded a little better but when it comes to PQ? The TCL was the better of the two. And not by a small margin but to my eyes alot! The blooming on the Samsung was horrid while it was more controlled on the TCL. Great comparison video Paul.
Ask more questions, why did it look so much better compared to the normally better Samsung? Settings! They were probably both in Standard Mode OOTB. On Samsung Standard Mode uses Contrast Enhancer.....this ruins the picture lifting everything (making it much brighter) making highlights look less tightly controlled causing blooming. Much better to use Filmmaker for any comparisons on a Samsung and Movie Mode on the TCL. Truly a terrible comparison! He didn't even know that the QN95D has around the same amount of dimming zones. A really good comparison. You spent a lot of time comparing blooming and local dimming zones which at a practical level is the most important aspect of image quality for LCD tvs.
Hi Paul, hope you are well, I knew TCL were punching above their weight but that is very pleasantly surprising, I'll always tty and go for OLED in my lounge but for other rooms the TCL may be worth a punt, especially at the price point,
QM851G is for US market only, C855 is for European market only. The QM851G has twice the number of local dimming zones as the C855. For example, the TCL 65" QM851G has 2880 zones, while the TCL 65" C855 has 1344 zones. Both variants are 2024.
This is why I've moved on from Samsung to TCL. All four of the TV's I've bought in the past year have been TCL's. Samsung's LED TV's have been slipping for awhile.
If tcl you get a little better software for local dimming control it will be a no brainer for a lot of consumers. It just pushes brightness a little to much and Samsung aren't for me if it ain't qd-oled

However possibly the TCL is crushing blacks and losing a bit of detail and it's probably not doing the Samsung any favours having it at such a low level but the TCL looks far superior. You can see why Samsung are going to transition to OLED as they can't compete with the Chinese - they will very soon have the whole LCD market to themselves.

Regarding the review, I understand that TCL has a lot of strainghts, but the thing that rarely is compared, are the viewing angles. Samsung uses a wide view angles filter. For me it's important. TCL does not.

Both TVs are amazing in terms of picture quality and sound as well. But overall, the Android OS just runs so smooth on them. @@xiaolin6498but the TLC X955 is much stronger so i want to see if theres any differents with the C855. And you have a 85 inch version of the X955
TCL Nice colour for me
This is the third comparation on youtube that I know that compares the TCL C855 vs Samsung QN95D. This makes me think that it's a promotional video. It's nothing bag, but the video should be labeled. I don't think it's a concidence that there are at least 3 youtubers that are trying to say what a great value is the TCL compared to the Samsung mini LED flagship. Regarding the review, I understand that TCL has a lot of strainghts, but the thing that rarely is compared, are the viewing angles. Samsung uses a wide view angles filter. For me it's important. TCL does not.
Yeah almost every comparison is pretty bad.....try the ChooseTV one it's actually pretty good. And they clearly say this is the order of picture quality after they calibrated them and used accurate settings with real content like you should, Sony, Samsung, TCL/Hisense.....
Every tv blooms off axis viewing, the TCL conveniently positioned at the perfect viewing level for the camera,, the Samsung on the floor. Also the blue tint to the "PALAZZO" lettering might have been a reflection from the blue light to the left. We will never know. I came here looking for info on the C855 but the comparison technique had to be commented on :)
I bought a tcl and apart from the channel 5 player it had sod all else on it. I know it shows itvx but it didn't work.
iTVX is working now, BBC is available in the beginning of Nov
Is this the qm8???
No, QM8 is lower end than C855K, different local dimming zones, brightness is totally different as well, C855K is very strong
@@xiaolin6498 are you sure because the qm851g has 5k dimming zones and a peek brightness of 5k
QM851G is for US market only, C855 is for European market only. The QM851G has twice the number of local dimming zones as the C855. For example, the TCL 65" QM851G has 2880 zones, while the TCL 65" C855 has 1344 zones. Both variants are 2024.

Qm851G has double the dimming zones and almost double the 🔆
There is no such TV in Europe. Only Americans getting the good stuff from TCL
Samsung Tizen OS comes NO way close to Android OS based on functionality and availability of apps. I own 2 Android OS 65-inch TVs. The TCL C725 and Toshiba Z770KN. Both TVs are amazing in terms of picture quality and sound as well. But overall, the Android OS just runs so smooth on them. Best part of the Android OS for me is that I can side-load APK files or use the Downloader app to install apps that I might not find on the Google Playstore. No other OS running on current Smart TVs can do that. Will definitely be looking to get the TCL C855 as I have seen a side by side comparison between a QLED and Mini LED TV. TCL FTW.
Have a nice day sir 😊
Samsung’s TV sector has gone down a hill for the past few years. So many brands have surpassed it in picture quality and features.
Clear difference 😮
not sure i like that oversaturated picture at tcl, would dim it down in settings, color accuracy is more worth
TCL is the better choice clearly. i want see what TCL will do with MicroLED
Great videos as usual 👌 would be nice to see some low quality Cable,Antenna TV Footage and it's upscaling and Motion in fast Speed Scenes, Or UA-cam movie trailers at say 360p 720p 1080p as it has lots of great Scenes 👍 Thanks 👍
А оттенки кожи где?
