    Picked up my MT1 last week. So far I can't find a fault. So much room. 4th camper I've owned including a Patriot and a Mountain Trail and I rate this well above all of them. I recon you will love it, especially with the awesome mods you've done. Great build up and video

      Hey Outback Jack. Hearing a former Patriot owner praise the MT1 amazes me. I have not owned either of those. I only have a soft floor camper at the moment and looking to move on to the MT1. I assumed Patriot would be WAY ahead of Adventure Kings for quality etc and that I was taking a big gamble with an MT1.

      @@matthalpin1981 all the visible build components are quite well completed on the MT1, surprisingly. The chassis has gussets in all areas where there might be stress loads. Who knows the quality of the steel though. When I close mine I can hear a quiet hiss of compressed air. No other camper I've owned seems to seal as well as the seals on this one. And I'm not trying to justify my purchase as I could have easily afforded something far more expensive, I just went with what will work for me.

      You rate it above Patriot? In what way? I know price is a factor but curious to know why?

      @@mikefoster7085 I should choose my words more carefully. It's not better than a Patriot but for my purposes it suits me better. The Patriot much prefers perfectly flat ground to peg the corners of the fold out otherwise the zipper access doors can be slightly skewed. These are then a pain to unzip easily. Also when the bed is setup, the drop down door underneath is a nightmare to access. The MT1 has none of those problems. But it is a rooftop bed so time will tell whether I get sick of that too.

    Awesome video. Thank you sharing it mate. I am looking for honest reviews of the MT1 and not just the ones put out by Adventure Kings. Can you list the electrics you added? Sadly, I know nothing about wiring but I would like to research better ways to pimp out the MT1 12v capacity.

    • @WEEKENDER4X4
      @WEEKENDER4X4  3 роки тому +3

      Hey mate thanks for that, electrics added were 3x100ah lithium batteries, 1x240ah lithium battery I put together myself, 1xrenogy 50amp DC DC charger with mppt, 1x renogy 2000w pure sinewave inverter with 65amp charger, and a victron bmv shunt

    Have you had it set up in the rain yet? Just wondering how the water runs off at the back end of the awning (where it mounts to the trailer). Some other trailers have a gutter system so water doesn't run down into your kitchen/pantry area. Has this been an issue for you?

      Sorry mate been lucky enough to have good weather each of the 6-7 camps so far, next weekend ill be out again, will let you know, but as for coverage of the fridge/kitchen area, the bushwakka doesn't reach over the sink part, but the kings delux 270 did reach, i changed to the bushwakka for ease of set up.

      Hey mate I did a follow up video on this channel if you wanted to take a look, only had the tank have slight crack in it after taking a pretty mental track way too fast (was starting to flood) and just recently I bent the jockey wheel by accident when moving it in the bush. All in all I love it. Got a follow up video one extra mods I've added coming soon.

      The way I have rewired it I'll be able to see it through the victron shunt in line to the batteries, the shunt in the camper itself only now displays the current draw from main fridge.

    • @mikefoster7085
      @mikefoster7085 3 роки тому

      @@WEEKENDER4X4 prob need to wire the shunt properly (sorry not being mean) so that your display will show the current state of your batteries. Otherwise it's pointless. All negs to the shunt and she'll be right. Easy to do 👍
