Still confused about mud tyres on a trailer. There is no drive so wheel spin is not an issue anyway off-road but on a wet sealed road they will have no water dispersement and be prone to aquaplaning.
Off-road tires can take Sidewall rock hits much better than standard tires. Plus with a bigger sidewall you can air them down to make the ride on the trail more manageable. The trailer won't bounce around as much.
Totally agree this is such a waste of money for such a very small benefit. But when you look at it with 4WD tyres, it makes you feel good. And feeling good is worth every $.
Because it does what a mud tire does. They dispell the mud. Regardless of the fact that it's a trailer you don't want to be pulling a tire on slicks. You wouldn't put road tyres on it would you???????????????????????
And the comments about no water dispersing capability is absolutely ludarcis.
Main one is they're compatible with the 4wd pulling it, less spares to carry. If your 4wd isnt rocking muds then go all terrain.
