Such an amazing economist and expert analysist as someone who has been completely obsessed with global economics,
I wish i could genuinely talk with him, he seems so informed about the matter and has been by far the most intelligent and nice person who has casually explained Pakistans economy to me in a long while,
I just wish as a nation we could improve our exports to Global standards, Himalayan pink salt is a big example of this theory,
We had "immature" workers just pumping pink salt and india started buying it, since they had a economy and exporters who weren't completely brain-dead they started packing the salt and selling it in international market at highly expensive rates
Pakistani government banned all pink salt sold to india, so the little money we were making also stopped, we didn't also tey to find a way to be able to ourself export it
Very depressing and ashamefull to think about this

Economic crisis has atleast made every one of us more educated on economics. I meant every one of us know the gap of $40bn in our current accounts.

25 billion sy 4 billion reh gy dollar gy kidhr?
4 Billions just with SBP, there's a chunk with Commercial banks to, accumulating to 10.5+ Bn USD.
Total reserves went below single digits a couple of months ago and now have attained double figure again.
Where it went, research about it. One of two months before, we paid 2+ Bn USD in form of loans. And as Dr. Jibran said, we paid around 12 Bn USD in form of loans and then there comes PKR depreciation and imports stability problems which consumed more of USD Reserves.
Right now in chaos, everyone trying to get benefit from hoarding USD, even a common man, so it's hurting the PKR-USD valuation.
