Hello Wanderers! Time for a look at the amazing CT5 crossbody sling from CTactical in Vietnam.
This is a great sling for anyone who doesn't need to carry a laptop.
A full size ipad will NOT fit in this bag - an iPad mini WILL fit, but there isn't really a padded tech compartment. This is really perfect for a phone based EDC carry. Cords, gear, bottle, etc.
These bags were provided for purpose of review. I do not promise positive reviews to any company, nor am I an affiliate receiving any payment from this company. My reviews are always simple and honest.

Great review, mate. That front pocket that you haven't fallen in love with yet seems really great for wallets, keys, and passports. The hook-and-loop flap makes it seem like the most secure place. I couldn't imagine anyone pick-pocketing something from there with that loud "riiiiiip" noise required to open it.
Would b perfect without the front flap...why would I want to remove a flap every time I wanted into my stuff...just zipper the middle pouch
Wanted to note an iPad mini 6 in it case DOES fit in this bag. While there’s no special space/sleeve for it in the bag, I find the back fold down pocket the best space for my needs.
Thanks for the review! Picked up a CT5 and a CT21 just recently thanks to your reviews. Grateful to you for reviewing this up-and-comer in the space!
Hey thanks! Appreciate that info. I need to get an iPad mini - but I’ve been waiting on the new one to release!
the front section 13:08 is designed to fit the front flap.
I almost wonder if you can take that front flap and just flip it over the top part of the sling and re-attach it with the velcro in the back somewhere. It could be a mulitpurpose flap so you can expose the front pockets and protect access to the back ones a bit.
This bag should go with the CT Mod Sling, it's has laser cut/molle loop sticks and shoulder pad (looks like the sling on 5.11 2 Banger) . I think it would be a perfect dual for an EDC bag
I would love to see a comparison of this bag, vs the Greenroom 136 Metrorunner, vs the Kargo Loculus.
I would do that, if this bag was a little longer :) The Chrome Kadet is the 3rd bag to match the duo you mentioned…this is more of a direct comparison to the Bounce Design labs 4DC.
Amazing review! Love how you break down the compartments and your honest take on it!
Thanks Ryan!
IF you “carry” ccw could holster fits in the very back part I moved that storage panel to the middle section. G43 perfect a G19 is a tight fit
When he says "Who is this for?". It's clearly designed *for* someone who wants to carry ccw.
Holy shit...this is the exact bag I have been looking for and they even make it in Xpac! Outstanding review!
Nice!
Just got my CT15 (your review helped sway me so thanks for that)
Considering the CT5 too. Only thing that gets me is the size of the water bottle holder. How much does it expand? I use a 32oz Nalgene right now, which I imagine is probably too wide.
Yeah too wide / sorry
Dudeee!!! This was exactly what i was looking for!
Thank you!
the unuse compartment is to hide the cover and show your hook and loop
Interesting sling with nice compartment...
Dont like the Orientation of the water bottle pouch holder thingy.. i wear my sling bag over my right shoulder so the front of the water bottle would be pointing to the ground and that strap dont look too secure to hold a fully loaded water bottle
How does this wear in the hip pack configuration? Everyone only shows the sling set up but I’d primarily use it as a wait bag. Thanks!
To be honest, I have not worn it that way. Not even in testing.
i believe the fanny pack is CT4 instead of CT3.
Thing sling is very tempting but each of the larger halves look shallow.
If they turned that back section into a slip pocket and had one cavernous opening wit that water bottle holder I would be all over this thing!
If you want something a bit larger but not big enough to "quite," be a real backpack. The EMDOM USA BAKER STREET bag is the FINEST I have ever seen! But this one you are showing comes for me tomorrow for my "smaller" carry needs, looks AMAZING!
Please do the CT V 5.11 lvl 6 waist pack as they are so alike
A good idea!
Do you think in the clam shell part you could fit a folded T-shirt and extra pair of underwear? I’m looking to use a sling as a packing cube in my personal item bag, and then as a sling when I reach my destination.
It would be super tight. For that exact purpose, I would recommend the Tom Bihn Side Hustle. www.tombihn.com/products/side-hustle?variant=42965550137533
Hey Wander I have been seeing adds for the Mous backpack that is heavy on protection and versatility which is right up my alley. However I am extremely sceptical of any adds on youtube as the only things not hype are downright lies.
You I trust however and wondered if you have any knowledge on the bag and any chance of a review in the future
I’ll check it out!
I sent them a message 🤞🏻
Thanks man
Nice bag but no side compression straps
The 5.11 lvl 6 is similar with side compression if it helps
does the rear have a pass thru like on a Aer City or Helikon tex wombat, great review
Ok - I had to look up the Helikon Tex - so thanks for introducing me to another brand. This bag does not have a rear pass through.
@@ThePerfectBag Thank you for your time, Helikon are ok,I'd review the "Swagman roll" lots of chat forums but not many reviews on YT ,great product
The built quality between CT5 bag and Alpaka product as Tech Case showed in video is comparable? What do you prefer between CT tactical and Alpaka?
Alpaka is often TOO slim for me and I like a boxier or more volume-ish sling.
Thank you. If you remember the water bottle holder on the lower side of CT5 is removable?
no that is a sewn in feature, but it folds flat.
Awesome review as always.
Thx! This is a very cool little bag!
Looks cool, how much is shipping to the US though?
A lot cheaper than it used to be!
@@ThePerfectBag I really like how that white looks, I also use a sling to carry a small umbrella a lot. My main issue with the bag is the clamshell in the back, I just imagine my stuff spilling out when I open it. Clamshell is nice if you put it down on a table to load or unload it, but on the body seems like gravity is your enemy.
I've pulled the trigger on the Quickdraw cause I liked that gusset. But maybe I'll end up with this one eventually.
will the waterbottle holder hold a 40oz? currently searching for a sling w/ external waterbottle holder for day hikes
40 oz of what dimensions or brand? I think this will hold most standard bottles easily - but might struggle with some of the larger yeti/hydroflask situations
Depends on the dimensions or brand of bottle I'd say
@@ThePerfectBag hydroflask
@@sinspawn I think it might be a little bit tight. Maybe if you take a picture of the bottle and post it on the sea tactical group somebody who owns the CT five can tell.
If they can figure lower shipping costs they’ll be great
it's been better lately to the US.
@@ThePerfectBagI’m in the UK so still high :(
Haha, I feel the same when I order from the states or UK (I'm in Singapore)
Sweet bag.
Thx David!
How big of a water bottle can you fit in the bottle holder?
Depends on the shape of the bottle, but I had no problem with any of my typical bottles…I didn’t try the big huge Nalgene type things with this sling, nor would I want to carry that kind of weight.
@@ThePerfectBaggotcha wondering if it’ll fit a 32oz hydroflask trail series. Keep the vids coming!
Their shipping rate to me is insane.Otherwise I'd order like 5 bags
yeah - it's international rates. I wonder if you reach out to them if they could combine multiple bags into one box for you?
@@ThePerfectBag Honestly they weren't very nice when I contacted them about it, didn't put much thought into this since
Gotcha!
Alright, this seems like my endgame
Nice!
@@ThePerfectBag just as I was about to order. $35 shipping?
Yes. That’s the downside. Cheaper bag, more shipping - it’s coming from Vietnam. I just factor it into the bag price
@@j_crust4582 worth the shipping, I bought it came after a week and it’s my edc now
That is Switch Lite right?
Adding some more question, do you knowany sling that is just slightly bigger than GR136 MetroDrifter?
Right!
Same form as the metrodrifter?
Maybe check out the Alpaka Bravo Max? Is that too big?
@@profpoyo So why not the GR136 Metromonger instead if you want larger size? And for smaller you can get the Metrorunner... and all these version came with tactical version too
