Just got my bag! I gotta say, I feel like this might be the best kept secret of sling bags. But the secret should be out! I did A LOT of research in trying to find the perfect sling bag for me. I looked at so many different companies, from Alpaca, to Chrome, to Tomtoc and everything just didn’t quite fit what I was looking for until I stumbled on this one. And you are the ONLY person that has any kinda video review on this. So I thank you greatly! I’m astounded at the craftsmanship. It’s so well made! And combine that with their customer service (they were very communicative and friendly with me when they were out of stock) and their lifetime warranty, and Kargo is a go to company for sure. Easy recommendation to anyone. AMAZING BAG!!
My stunning white Kargo came today. Man, they ship fast and package nicely. She is a beauty inside and out. I wasn't expecting compression straps and a loop panel for patches on the bottom /side. Very cool little bonuses! You can also hook up something flat to store behind the back padding with the little D ring from the side you don't use (depending on your shoulder preference) so that back area becomes another unexpected little bonus. A+ all the way and I love this sling, too! I'd never have known or even heard of Kargo if I wasn't a "Perfect Bag" fan, Klint. Thanks so much for the excellent education & recommendation!
My peacock X-pac Loculus just arrived! I ordered it friday morning, and it was here monday morning. I'm on the other side of the country in Ohio. So that's pretty impressive. I love the color and feel of this bag! The zippers are a little tight, but for extra water protection ill live with it. Thanks for recommending this bag!
Cool you got yours! The Peacock color is amazing. Definitely has hues to it so if you catch it under certain lights it’s brighter or darker. Soooo cool.
@@MrKyGuy It is definitely a bright (and polarizing) color. I have moments when Im like, " Isn't this just too much color?" Then I'm like, "Naaaahhh... I love it Because of that!" (also, any Miami Dolphins fans out there should grab one. Perfect teal and orange for them.) lol
@@MrKyGuy I have so much stuff packed into this bag! And I'm able to pack it in such a way (bc of all of the zippered pockets) where the big main compartment pocket is still completely empty. So whenever I need to toss my phone, a water bottle, or anything else, its free to do so. (That has to be my favorite part!)
@@jarrodknight4698 it really is super impressive. I love the compartments too. Makes it so easy to organize. This is a huge bonus over other bags in my opinion. Honestly too, the Peacock color might be my favorite after having it for a bit. The teal and orange make it so much fun! Glad you like the bag as much as I do. Hahaha, I’m now actively looking for places to go with it. 🤣
Those ripstop nylon versions look beautiful. Especially the blue and white. Probably not as good a deal at $10 less than Xpac, and almost certainly not as waterproof. But man that's good looking.
I bought this bag because i saw your review in the ild one, got the new one and i was like wuhhhhh they made it better! 3 days later you do a reveiw what 😂😂😂 nice!
@@ramily7554 Yeah ..... I saw🙄 Guess it's good for everyone els😢 Lol But honestly I was a little bummed when I saw. However after thinking about it Ive come to the conclusion, that no matter which color I chose I would've still had the feeling it was wrong. All of the colors are so fantastic. Which makes it really hard to feel you've made the best decision. Bc you can't. Their all so great, there is no best! Off topic a little bit,... but I ordered the Alpaka tech case yesterday (Slate grey X-Pac). Think maybe I need a "sling intervention" or something?... 🤔
I’ve had this for a few days, and absolutely love it. Especially out in Oregon where it rains, the waterproofing is top notch. I was wondering if you’d consider making a compare and contrast video for this bag? Just wish more people knew about it!!
Ok - Tested it. The two rubber D rings at top make it a little tight if you want to slip the pouch into the tech sleeve, but in the main compartment, it fits just fine.
Two things I like about this sling that I wish the Metrorunner has. Aqua guard zips and the ambidextrous strap so you can wear it on both shoulders, though the chest strap on the Metrorunner should help take some of the weight off your shoulder. Two things I don't like about this sling are the patch at the bottom, making it less visible and that strip running down the back of the sling. In summer, it gets really hot down under and I can see that strip making it less breathable than the mesh. I'm also not sure why the front pocket zip is shorter when the interior is just as wide as the main compartment. Seems like style over function. Still trying to decide between this bag and the Metrorunner, but at the moment, I'm leaning more towards the Metrorunner.
Not sure if you've already chosen a bag (if so just disregard this comment lol), and I know you don't know me from joe shmoe, but I'd go with the Loculus. I've owned a lot of bags in my day and, as of the last year, around 25 sling/crossbody bags. Not quite as many as Klint, but who could keep up with this guy?😂 Anyway, .... The Loculus is soooo damn good. By far the best bag (in all most every way too) I've ever purchased. If you ask me, it is underpriced. I know Greenroom bags are awesome as well, and I'm sure you couldn't really go wrong with either. I've never owned a Greenroom bag myself. However I have borrowed one for a weekend trip. I would choose the Loculus ever time. As long as you don't need to carry a tablet (although I do carry my Galaxy s6 lite in it for very short trips. Not a perfect fit, but doable.) ", the Loculus is literally perfect for everything else. Ie most comfortable strap (sooo good), awesome materials, best made, perfect size, best organization... This list could go on but you get my point. There are only two things I would change. Both are kida strap related, (even though this is the best strap on a bag I've ever used) First would be a D-ring instead of the Air pods pocket. I ind myself wanted to attach things quickly sometimes on the go, and you can't see the loops on the bottom with the bag on. So I need to remove it in these situations. (Not ideal). Second thing would be a removable sternum strap.... As with all slings like this, the "swoop" to the front when bending over can get quite annoying. Especially if you are in a situation when needing to bend over often. (Again, not ideal). For me, these are very small cons, and things I have already solved with other bag parts. (I'm the Dr. Frankenstein of bags if you will) 🧟 And really wouldn't want them to change a single thing. If only bc I wouldn't want them to accidentally ruin the magic of this bag lol.
Klint do you have any suggestions or a video for slings with long cross body straps? I'm a big guy 6'6'' 300lbs and some slings can get fat guy in a little coat real quick. Have you noticed anything with a longer then normal strap or any custom bags that I could have built with a long strap? Thanks
Off the top of my head - here’s what I’d do - I’d buy a bag that has two attachment points like the Greenroom 136 QuickDraw or Sidekeep, the Tom Bihn Side Hustle or similar and then get a custom length seatbelt strap 2” wide from Etsy or Amazon.
This is intended for left-shoulder carry. It's right-shoulder carry that would leave it upside-down. Do a Google-image search for this sling and look at the photos from the back of people carrying it.
@@RobRobideau You’re right. I meant my right shoulder, but got confused. I like it to wrap around under my left arm so I can dig into it. Thanks for the correction. I’ve corrected my first comment.
I know this comment is months old, but if you're still interested in this sling and the right shoulder carry is your only issue, if you contact Kargo they will flip it (when they make yours) to work with right shoulder carry. ( This is one of the best perks buying from a company like Kargo. They aren't mass producing these things on machines. They hand make them!) Hit them up..they'll take care of you!!
What is the interior space dimensions of the main compartment? I wasn’t able to find it on the website (exterior dimension only.) Pretty nice bag in the video, right now I’m alternating between a small Jansport sling and the Code of Bell x-pod.
ok. These are not official - I just did this with a ruler to give you the best idea possible. inside compartment (main) is 3.25 inches wide (5 if STRETCHED) and 14 inches long and 6.75 inches tall.
Very intriguing... can those daisy chain points on the bottom support a water bottle carrier, do you think? Get kind of a hodgepodge Wandrd Rogue thing going on? Been looking for a bag that could stow a bottle on the outside, but the options are either generic junk or *real* expensive...
Ok. I don't have a 20 oz. hydroflask...so I tried two bottles. I tried a 32 oz hydroflash, which fit fine, but did cramp the pockets of the main compartment, and a 17 oz swell bottle, which fit very well and there was tons of room for stuff in the pockets...hope that helps and sorry I didn't have one to test fit.
Why isn't anyone else talking about this sling? It seems perfect to me. However I have a rule, that if I want to buy a new bag, I have to first sell 2. Buuuuut, ... I heard rules are made to be broken. Sooooo,...
