As they play back the recording, you can hear a woman yell "I'M A VIRGO!" from what sounds like the nearby kitchen. A cough follows. "BOY!" Is heard from the woman. Footsteps can be heard. "Eyyy bebbyyyyyy" can be heard very close by, coming from a man, most likely, the "boy" from a few moments prior. "Aww HELL YEAH!" Is spoken a second later. Another cough. "Stop it. I gotta get ready for my basketball game tomoROOooOOoOW." Another cough. A sigh. It cuts out.

In an old apartment(im female and lived with a male friend of mine) of mine there was a ghost of a women who had lost a small child. We knew she was there but she didn't bother us much. We would see her sometimes when were in a half awake half sleep thing. We also shared one bathroom and for what ever reason the door never locked. I was home alone one night and hoped in the shower before bed. Well my roommate and his friend came home late drunk from the bar and one of them tried to get into the bathroom(not to hurt me or do anything just need to pee) and the door refused to budge a door that never locked they couldn't even get the handle to turn like no give at all. I honestly believe that this ghost women was trying to keep me safe or protect me from what she thought was a threat to my safety. As soon i was out and dress the door acted as it always had not locking being opened very easily and that was that.

I had a little girl in my old house, she would play with my toys. after I moved out and my step family moved in my stepsister says she heard giggling all the time and the baby bouncer would start bouncing on its own. i actually witnessed this one. And my non believer dad said he heard giggling one night and had a moment where he thought I was still a little girl and told me to stop playing he was trying to sleep and it went quiet. I feel like there was something evil there too but it was just this gut twisting feeling and never hurt anything so idk

When the "fight" between the ghosts on the recorder happened I just thought of Julien squating and punching the air and saying "ooo Who you fightin?"
when i was 4 or 5 i used to tell my parents to close my closet door all the time and to pile chairs and boxes up against the closet door so "teuful" couldnt get out.
eventually we moved out when i was like 8. But a couple years ago i met someone from my school who had lived in germany for a couple of years and picked up on some words.
He told me that Teuful was German for devil. I was 4 or 5 at the time and there was no way for me to know german.

SAME. i have a couple old peoples ghosts in my house and they're very sweet and respectful. the woman's name is Mary and I'm not sure what the male's name is. My feeling is that it starts with a J. I like to show them my gadgets and sometimes we talk thru my spirit box and I teach them about memes. They're rad. 10/10 would recommend making friends with friendly ghosts.

When my uncle died, my grandma took it real hard. He died in his 50’s from damage done from lifelong alcoholism and he’d been cut off from most of the family for about five years before his death.
During the funeral ceremony, my dad drove from the church up to the cemetery with Grandma and Uncle Jim’s ashes. He still had boxes of Jim’s stuff in his trunk.
They started talking about how even though Jim had a really rough life, he did call his mother regularly in the last several weeks of his life. He died in the hospital surrounded by his mom and all his siblings, but they weren’t sure if he found peace in the end.
Right as they start talking about this, my dad hears a music box go off in the trunk. He brushes it off as a weird coincidence triggered by a bump or something, but it plays a second time.
While it’s playing again, a wave of relief passes over them and they take it as a sign that he’s found peace.
I had a dream about my uncle a little bit ago. My stepbrother’s going through a lot of addiction issues, and Uncle Jim basically told me, “You’re doing great kid, don’t let him turn out like me.” I woke up crying. Can’t tell if it’s a memory, a legit apparition, or just something my brain fabricated because of the stress. I rarely have extremely vivid dreams like that.
madgirlmuahaha addiction is so hard to handle, my heart goes out to you and your stepbrother and your family. I hope he starts seeing the light at the end of the tunnel soon

Some background info; My Pappy wore a cast-shoe on one foot at all times, even if the other foot was bare. He wore this because he was type-1 diabetic so his injuries never fully healed, and because my grandma sews, she often dropped needles into the carpet. One day he stepped on one, and the foot with the cast-shoe was the one he stepped on the needle with. Gross, I know, but it happens when you aren't careful. This freaking shoe made so much noise on top of his "I'm an overweight dude", heavy, footsteps. He'd go to the kitchen and all you'd hear through the whole house once he made it to the linoleum was "Thud, thud-CLICK, thud, thud-CLICK, thud, thud-CLICK." and the clicking was the hard plastic of the extended toe of the shoe hitting the floor.
Anyway, my Pappy died in 2013 because of a bone-marrow infection. He "fought" in the Korean war, and by that I mean he drove one of the trucks carrying herbicide (AO). This prolonged contact is what caused his diabetes according to doctors because there's no family history of type-1 diabetes, but one day his pancreas just fucking quit, ya know? And so his doctors made the connection of the marrow infection and the herbicides. He fought it for over a year, but he couldn't fight anymore and surgery might not have saved him at that point. Everything was silent until the funeral when he was granted a 21 gun salute. Then it went back to being silent.
When the urn-box made its way to the house from the funeral home (it took a day or two) she put them up on the mantle and decided that would be his final resting place, at home.
Since he passed, my gram couldn't sleep anymore. She explained it as, her bed is for two and it was cold without him. She asked my sister and I to stay over a couple nights. The first night, my gram finally got some sleep knowing she wasn't alone in the house. But I couldn't sleep (as anxiety makes it hard for me to sleep in a bed that isn't my own) so I stayed up and watched tv, muted, with captions so it didn't wake her.
I swear on my life that while I was watching the show, I heard "thud-CLICK, thud, thud-CLICK, thud, thud-CLICK" coming from the kitchen. I slowly and quietly made my way to the kitchen, both to get water and check out the noise. There was nothing. I got my water and sat back down in the living room. Then I heard his heavy steps coming down the hallway towards me, as if he was going to watch the show with me. I heard it head to the fireplace and then stop.
The house didn't just settle, so don't even suggest that. There's a distinct difference in a 60 year old house settling and footsteps. I like to think he, or his spirit, got out of "bed", put on his shoe, walked to the kitchen for a late-night snack, walked back, and got back in "bed" (his urn-box).
Sometimes my gram hears him. Whenever any of us need to use his tools for something, it's still a knee-jerk reaction to ask the blankness of an empty garage before taking anything. It's almost like he never died.
ah when my grandad passed away (he slept in a room separate to my nana for medical reasons) I always feel so weird going into his room Its been 5 years since and I've only just started to go in there. idk it just feels weird i was never very close with him and I wasn't allowed in his room so idk

when jenna and julien were joking about what they would say as ghosts, it made me think.. why do we never hear stories or see videos about more RECENT ghosts? like why don't we hear about "hauntings" of someone who died in 2010 ? or 2015? like they wouldn't show up as an apparition of some lady in a long period-specific 1800s dress they would look like a regular person, idk I never hear stories like "I saw this transparent looking woman but it looked like she was wearing ugg boots and leggings" XD I'm a skeptic though I want to believe, but...am I wrong?

As far as science goes, is that there’s literally never been a shred of evidence that was legit enough to ever be accepted as a real piece of evidence.

The 'scream' was a door opening and closing, definitely. The noises sound scary but considering how much the volume is turned up (if it's a distant clock ticking), those noises could be absolutely anything. Sounds like someone coming on to someone else and being shoved/fought off. Either that, something similar or BS.
Sarah C the clicking sounds are more likely the sweeping of the various frequencies. The random chime a good minute in are more than likely the “cuckoo clock” the article was referencing. But to your point, the increase in volume and vagueness in exact scenario do not lend or help the audio’s credibility

When I was about eight, I was trying to pick a movie. I was sitting in my old living room and I had my hair in a ponytail. I was sitting on the floor for a while, facing my shelf of DVDs. Suddenly someone raised my ponytail and let go, letting my hair hit against my back. I turned around, and no one was there. I asked my mother if she had done it, and she said she had been in the kitchen, and she was. My father was asleep upstairs, I was an only child, and at the time I didn't have any pets. I didn't imagine it. I still remember it, even though it was like, ten years ago. W e i r d

I’ve had this happen before in my childhood home, I’ve also had an old iHome go flying from my bed to smash and break against the wail across the room, have had someone sounding like my dad call me downstairs when he was in the garage at the time and finally, later at night, if no one was upstairs, we would hear heavy footsteps upstairs and my sisters’ dresser drawers sliding open, only to slam shut before anyone could go upstairs OR be hanging so far out the dresser they were almost going to clatter to the floor. If anyone would go upstairs during those moments and address the empty space, it would usually stop for the night
My favorite evp on a ghost show was on ghost adventures and they were at like an hotel or inn and they asked the ghosts if they remembered the cooks food then what their favorite food was

about 15 years ago me and my brother thought it would be fun to try to record EVP's in our house when our parents were out of town, and in my bedroom we recorded what sounded like a male voice saying "People kill". We were so freaked out that we both slept in the living room with all of the lights on that night.

My fiancee's parents live in a house that was built in 1902, and it used to be a farmhouse. One time, I was up in her old bedroom, laying in bed, and I suddenly felt like I was being choked, like something had grabbed me and shoved my neck and head into the mattress. I couldn't breathe, and in my head I got this image of a tall, older man in overalls, looking furious and clenching his fists. It lasted for about five seconds before it stopped and I was able to get up and run downstairs, crying hysterically. I told my fiancee and her parents, who were just as freaked out as I was. Her dad went up and checked the whole upstairs, but no one was there. When I described the man I saw, her mom googled the house history and previous owners. Turns out, we were able to find a picture of the original owner, and though it was grainy and blurry, it was clearly the same man that I saw. Creepy as hell. Still can't stay in that house alone.

Sounds like classic sleep paralysis, terrifying, but explainable! Also, as someone who lives in an early 1900s house like plenty of people do, I'm interested in the website which shows you photos of who lived in your house historically 😂
blythe buttery I can’t remember the exact site because this was a few years ago now, but we literally googled the address (their real estate agent had told them when they moved in about how the property used to be a major farm, and the whole cul-de-sac was farmland until the 1940s) and since the property was one of the three major farms in our town, there were tons of pictures available.
fuck i had a very similar experience but mother used to tell me it was my grandpa (who died when i was 1) visiting.... and i have frequent night terrors/sleep paralysis (they stopped when i was about 12/13 and now happen rarely) (he was also a farmer and apparently not a good person/cheater/gambler)

I live in NC where there are just random ass cemeteries from the 1800s grouped in fields everywhere, we happen to have one at the end of our neighborhood behind someone house, my house is only 7 yrs old and and we bought early last year but since moving in I’ve caught my son playing peek a boo in our playroom with no one to the point that he was giggling and laughing by himself. Then when my husband deployed last year I was giving my son a bath and he leaned to the side looking down the hallway and waved and said “hi” and when I asked who he was saying hi to? He said “Daddy!” I’ve also had doors open and close even my shower door? My sons window has been found open from the top and I never open windows and he’s 2. His TV has come on by itself and turned to the Netflix app while I was the only person home. Like I no doubt feel something in my home but I feel like it’s a pretty dope friendly ghost that just likes playing with my kid and playing pranks on me.
Jackie Lewis I’m from NC and I agree that the number of old, family cemeteries is crazy. Also, this is gonna sound weird, but I do recommend you sage the house... I’ve heard a couple bad stories of children inviting other “children” into the home to play and it ending up being a bad ghost taking forms of things the child likes.

Jackie Lewis Tbh you never know, you don’t want to have something unexplained hanging around that could have bad intentions. You’d get a background check on a babysitter or roommate, right? I personally recommend calling a priest or pastor to come pray over the house. Hope everything goes well for you guys! ❤️

My grandfather gave me my dead uncle's old clarinet for my birthday a few years back, ever since then, doors open on there own, I feel breaths on my neck, and things I lose will pop up out of nowhere. My family believes that it is the ghost of my dead uncle, which is super cool! My aunt (my uncle's wife) even visits every year to talk and feel the presence of my uncle, its super sweet
I know this is an older video but I have a cool “ghost” story that happened to me in 2017. I did a ghost tour of the Crescent Hotel in Eureka Springs. The atmosphere was something I’ve never experienced before, it felt like a knot in my stomach. Most of the tour was stories of what had happened there and different spots in the hotel that had “spirits” attached to them. I love this kind of stuff and have a pretty open mind. We were leaving the basement area and walking down a long hall way leading back to the main lobby. I was just thinking about this feeling in my stomach when I felt a very gentle touch to the back of my head, it was almost like someone barley brushed their fingertips down the top back of my head. So I turned around to see if my boyfriend at the time or someone in the group was messing with me. No one was close enough behind me to have touched me... I don’t fully know what it was but whatever it was it wasn’t bad. The knot in my stomach was gone and I felt normal again. The whole tour I felt so bad for all the souls who lost their lives there and the terrible things they went through. So maybe one of the spirits felt that and comforted me. I’ve always been very in touch with others feeling - almost like an empath. It has to be the strangest thing I’ve even been through.
tashadoll22 I have a friend that went there and he tried to enter the hotel twice. Both times, he passed out at the entrance. They were like two hours apart. He doesn’t have any health issues, had eaten, had gotten plenty of rest the night before, and it wasn’t hot outside. No reason for him to pass out. When asked about it, he always says it’s like he was being told not to go in.

I was once just happening to be recording my room to show my friend how dark it was at night and that I couldn’t show her my artwork because my camera wouldn’t pick anything up and let me say, it was a completely still night, 0 wind, no traffic, no sound apart from me saying sorry look it’s too dark. When I listened back, there was howling wind and someone screaming off in the distance like they’re fatally wounded, then the wind picked up and the screaming just stopped. I then recorded another video immediately after to see what the hell it was and there was no sound whatsoever. We’ve also heard knocking on my side of the wall between my parents room and mine and I’ve gone over and asked what they want and it wasn’t them. They’ve also heard the same knocking on their side and thought it was me and I heard nothing. One fun sound I heard was violent knocking on the wall to outside right next to my head that made me take my earphones out and have to look outside to see if anyone was on a ladder knocking. We hear someone walking up and down the stairs at night and even hear something jumping off our beds onto the floor or stepping down into the bathroom above the kitchen while no one was up there and the dog was with us. Our house is an old butchers house and mums been choked by something while trying to sleep there. We assume he didn’t like the new wallpaper and promptly changed it to the same colour it was. We’ve never been hurt my them again. The dog follows something at human height with her eyes around the living room and sometimes jumps up like something has poked her butt and made her jump. She’s also stood and stared at the corner of the room A LOT. If it is a spirit then I mean I wish he’d just write us a note or something but he’s pretty cool.

My mom told me that when she was younger she stayed the night at her grandparents house (my great grandparents) and her grandpa would make fresh orange juice almost every morning and after he passed she remembers waking up a few times to the smell of orange juice. There was no orange juice (obviously) but she could smell it and she knew that it was him visiting.

My friend and I were at her grandma's place for a photo shoot--she's a photography major(?)--and it holds, as Jenna and Julien talked about, a very heavy feeling to it. It was also built on a portion of land where a battle of the civil war was fought, so that's fun. But any who we walked into this one room and she goes, "yeah, this was so-and-so's room he died a while back." so we're walking around the bed and I keep getting whiffs of cinnamon. like a fireball candy almost? or red hots??? a little bit later we're talking and she brings him up and how that was his favorite type of candy.

My grandma died 10 years ago and she had this chain that she really liked. It falls of the sidebord or shows up at places i didnt put it. Of course it could be my siblings putting it there but it also sometimes smells like her really much. Not always but sometimes.

I was asking it questions and it was answering them correctly even questions about me so i know it isnt some cute quirky little app some group of teens made for a school project. I asked who am I? And it said "brown hair girl bathroom" and I'm a girl with brown hair and I was standing in my bathroom😭 I don't really know or have an idea about religion or spirits or what happens when you die or anything like that and i dont know how shit like spirit box's work but I DO know that thing was answering my questions and it was super weird. I dont use it anymore cause that guy said spirits can attach to it and I don't really want to find out for myself if that's completely true lol. He's basically said its like people on earth, some are good some are bad and you just dont know a strangers true intention. One time I asked who was I talking to and it said Jesus Christ.
